but what I can clearly state is that for a piss poor country, socialist regime is way better than a capitalistic one.
For instance, when you mention Cuba, you can compare their development with other carribean island: Haiti, Puerto Rico, Jamaica. They are all capitalist, USA backed, but also piss poor and with a development index significantly lower than Cuba
