Problem Child 2

The fuck is it with Koreans and really sad movies.

The Road. Oppressively depressing.

Korea had a hard life.

dancer in the dark

suicide squad

most hollywood films.

so manufactured, sterile and heavy on propaganda.

Nobody knows
Japanese movie, p sad

Bane?

Thanks user, that's quite interesting.

Is that the one where the little sister dies and they just put her in a suitcase and dont show any emotion? Because that was just bizarre and made me question if asians really do have souls.

The real story it's based on is worse.

I found the Road comfy as fuck

My average day is 100 x more bleak than that moive

Doesnt change whats shown in the movie.

Wow, really? You're so though and cool dude. Tell me more!!

...

If the road was the most depressive film you've ever seen you must have lived an incredibly sheltered life

Too far.

Obviously.

...

...

my eyes are still bleeding

I don't. I'm not the guy who responded to you, it's pretty depressing though. Saying the Road is comfy is quite edgy.

Threads

Pic related is literally the most depressing kino ever made.

thread/

I'm sorry you need some crude overacted breakdown to understand emotion user

might be a case of the 'tism

I dont know about you but if one of my siblings died i sure as fuck would have shown an emotional reaction, especially as a kid.

i won't say ever made, but from those i watched i really find the great gatsbi and shutter island sad because of the ending.

I wouldn't say it's the most depressing of all time but still

there isn't a normal way to behave in that situation

papa can we go home :, (

Crying, feeling sad and mourning are pretty normal behaviors for the loss of a loved one.

Pulse

Any film about having meaning in your life.

cuz I have none

What a fucking edgelord.

Maybe they were in shock?

Why do people watch depressing movies?

They just make you feel like shit.

pleb af, go watch some adam sandler movie so you don't have to think about anything in life

catharsis

Those Sandler films are pretty depressing and sort of auteuristic.

Maybe, that doesn't make it normal.

dam you beat me to it

The one that comes clostest to my own life, except the MC gets a happy ending.

...

watch this as your endgame, you will realize that everybody does the same thing every day with little variations and no meaning or just kys

It wasn't 'the loss of a loved one' it wasn't 'our sister tragically passed away' It wasn't that simple. They didn't have the privilege to behave 'normally'.

You lack the empathy required to understand based Koreeda

My biopic desu

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind fucks me up the most senpai.

The most depressing film I've ever seen is Happy Gilmore because of the retirement home scenes. I've heard it said that Click is even worse, but mum won't let me watch it.

That doesn't really help.

Guy gets forced to eat toothpaste, lick up his own vomit, raped with a broomstick before forced to hang himself in prison.

All based on true events

Could be, i didn't watch the movie so i don't have the context anyway. Ignore me.

nah. the book is actually depressive af though
i don't know what they did, but it seemed watered down on the screen
i think it was all those scenes with him reminiscing about his wife

The Girl that Leapt Through Time.

Only a mildly sad ending unless you're one of the peeps that it hits way too close to home.

Fucking hell. 'Han' is also the same pronunciation as the word used for the Korean people. They call their country 'Hanguk' meaning 'Han country'.

Not the way it was presented in the movie. It showed them acting pretty close and loving.

With the real case you might have a point.

This was sad as fuck.

...

"A moment to remember" comes to mind - korean film

as Tsai Ming Liang scored one award after another abroad, Taiwanese cinema entered a desert. No audience or output

it was revived by Wei Te Sheng's Cape No 7
>finally a first major director born and raised and identifying with Taiwan
afterward Taiwanese cinema slowly recovered and make one or two hits every year
for the first time these hits have cast and crew born and raised in Taiwan, and actually speak Taiwanese language
Japanese and Chinese have noticed this

>but to the world that understands Taiwan through English subtitles, it's still Hou Hsiao Hsien (mainlander who hasn't done anything for decade) Edward Yang (mainlander who died for years) Ang Lee (mainlander who self identified as Chinese) and Tsai Ming Liang (Malaysian) and Lee Kang-sheng (mainlander)

That reminds me to kill myself before I get to that point.

Yup.

Haha I just watched parts of this on youtube the other night. I watched both of these movies at a pretty tender age and they definitely fucked me up.

pic

I cried like a little bitch at the conclusion of Tony's arc in American Pop.

Bakshii shouldn't rolled credits then instead of ruining it with fucking that Night Moves montage.

fucking hell man.
that shit might as well be a from of purgatory.

...

'tis was like a comedy.

I know it's a bit of a meme but this is fucking miserable.

underage not allowed

>when you realize he is already gone

>eat toothpaste

Well golly gee what a terrible fate

Depressioncore coming through

please don't ever post this picture near me again, I do not like it

> I was sitting at home and had a profound experience. I experienced, in all of my Being, that someday I was going to die, and it wouldn't be like it had been happening, almost dying but somehow staying alive, but I would just die! And two things would happen right before I died: I would regret my entire life; I would want to live it over again. This terrified me. The thought that I would live my entire life, look at it and realize I blew it forced me to do something with my life.

> Hubert Selby Jr

>tfw too stupid to act like the quote suggests.
>tfw spending days in front of a pc in same city for three decades

i should just kill myself to be quite frank with you familia

>le patrician meme

Don't worry about it we're all getting reincarnated anyway.

sorry but Afronoky is fucking garbage tier director~~

its not that depressing

>tfw i just started running and biking last week and its pretty fun.
check out the couch to 5k app if your phone can handle it.
it starts you off easy and gradually increases difficulty.
taking morning runs is awfully relaxing.

I have hobbies, I do weight training.

It's just it's literally
>everybody does the same thing every day with little variations and no meaning
combined with the quote here how much I've wasted time
and that's all there is to it.

>i just started running and biking last week and its pretty fun.

You'll give up. You'll stop enjoying it and it'll become a chore like everything else inevitably does and you'll give up, adding another thing to the list of many failures you have in life.

i actually don't have that many failures because i never actually try shit.
and no, i doubt i'll stop any time soon seeing how much more entertaining it is to go outside for a jog in the nearby woods or take bike to some place i've never been before compared to sitting at home for the whole day playing some game and browsing Sup Forums.

You'll stop. Just give it time. It'll lose the spark that it has at the moment and it'll become routine, and miserable. I know how this shit works. I've done it.

>i actually don't have that many failures because i never actually try shit.
i feel you
not a very good feel.

A Serious Man.

start reading literature, philosophy, politics etc, you don't have to leave your room thanks to the infinite free books on the net and you won't feel like you are wasting your time

The film adaptation of my diary desu famalamadingdong

...

maybe and maybe not.
just because you lacked the motivation doesn't mean others do.

there are plenty of people who take great enjoyment from exercising.
i don't do it solely for the purpose of losing weight or getting stronger but rather because it beats jerking off to that one sasha grey video i've jerked it too dozens of times.

tried reading stuff but i never get very far.
the only "literature" i read is the toilet kind. magazines with science, history and war.
little tidbits of interesting info that will make your brain a bit less bored.
got tons of books tho and i might give some of em a go sometime.
however i think i just prefer watching a film or playing a video game to reading kafka.

When you don't apply any of this stuff it starts to feel unproductive and pointless.
