According to NPR, Beyonce is better than all these ladies

Why do music journalists overpraised female manufactured pop singers like Beyonce, Taylor Swift or Adele, who need like 40 songwriters and 40 producers for every album they produced while at the same type they overlook real music artist like Kate Bush or Bjork?

I don't care desu.

Noone gives a fuck about your opinion. Welcome to the internet.

I do not disagree with your statement but the list is made to attract the younger girls to go and listen to such artists.

who are bottom left and bottom right?

Who cares, the only thing NPR are good for are their Tiny Desk Concerts

because they're paid too. That's how marketing works. You sign an artist. Then you pay people to talk about that artist so more people listen so you make more money

Holy shit, how?

Bottom right is Fiona Apple.

According to Sup Forums, Kanye West is better than Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Brahms and Mendelssohn.

left is Chelsea Wolfe
Bush > Newsom > Vincent > Wolfe > Bjork >>> Apple

Apple doesn't belong there desu.

>Chelsea Wolfe
Holy shit.

But he is better than them. Classical music is for old faggots

That's PJ Harvey i think. Not Wolfe

Kate>Joanna>Bork>PJ>Annie>Fiona

Kate > Bork > Joanna = PJ > Annie > Fionna

That said, they're all amazing artists.

>Fiona last

they're all great, she's just the least great
which of the other 5 do you think has the worse discography?

The Idler Wheel is her only great album. The others are okay to good

How does the number of people involved in an album somehow lessen its quality?

Not that guy but I don't think it's unreasonable to put Fiona over St. Vincent

Did at any moment NPR mention Moe Tucker? If not then poptimism truly is the worst thing to happen to music in years.

It doesn't but it shows that the "artist" is not an "artist", only a manufactured product by the record company.

Beyonce is a singer, just like Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Elvis, etc. etc. were.

And it doesn't matter if the album is "produced" or "manufactured" if it's good, because all that matters is if it's good.

Are you going to argue that Thriller or Off the Wall are bad albums? Because despite being heavily manufactured albums, they're undeniable classics.

what if the intentions behind it are sinister and your not caring is contributing to the suicide of all non-consumerist western culture? hypocritically speaking

Yeah maybe. Sinatra and Elvis are overrated imo. Michael Jackson is the exception, Thriller is miles and miles better than Lemonade.

Switch Bork with Joanna and your opinion is fact.

Thriller might be miles and miles better than Lemonade, but that doesn't mean that Lemonade is bad. It may not be to your liking, and that's fine, but that doesn't make it fake music, or Beyonce a fake artist. She's an incredible vocalist leveraging what she has to make music that a lot of consumers and critics find to be engaging.
