i think the most conspicuous problem with these comments is that he just brings it back to his own depression & mental health. his personal experiences here aren't really germane.
otherwise if he wants to give his opinion that suicide is "cowardly" i guess that's fine. it's not a helpful position that moves forward the dialogue, but famous people are entitled to bad opinions the same as we all are.
