The essential chanbara and Nipkino list

>jidaigeki kaiju

oh wow, surprised I haven't heard about this.

Well, thread's over.

What do we do now?

Post webms from these movies?

Kuroneko

I'm up for that.

I think Kurosawa's lack of choreography works better in the realistic clutter Seven Samurai, here it's sort of anticlimatic to see then just swinging swords haphazardly

Seriously. That sword looks like a fucking plastic toy. He's htiting the guy's back and the fabric of his kimono (traditional samurai clothing) didn't even get cut.

Anyway that's all the japkinowebms I could find in the archives. Please make more webmologists.

whats your favorite kurosawa and why

How can you post all this shit without Zatoichi?

Very good list. Are you avistaz?

...

Kagemusha is excellent for anyone with an interest in the sengoku jidai

nioh is the main reason i made this thread

i definitely recommend ninja scroll if you havent seen it yet

thanks for the recommendation, ill check it out as soon as possible

its animekino

perfect. Also i cant wait for nioh, the beta was too addicting

Would you rather have the Nioh video game we have now or Akira Kurosawa's Nioh?

both

Oh thats interesting, i didnt know you could set the stamina bar to have a number by it.

yee its in one of the option menus, also know any other animekino similar to the one you just mentioned? Also i have seen sword of the stranger

Ran

I'm a huge shakespeare fan and its one of the best adaptions I've ever seen.

seen princess kaguya?

yee

Never bothered me. He is telling a story and "guy is hit with sword, he dies" works perfectly fine for me.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy highly choreographed kung-fu movies too, but I'm not sure either is more realistic and both movies are using the action to tell a story, just using it in different ways.
