If a baseball and a bat cost $1.10 together, and the bat costs $1.00 more than the ball, how much does the ball cost?

.10$, retard.
You sure, retard?
0.95$ ?
$0.05
1.10 total minus 1.00 is 0.10.
0.10 divided by 2 is 0.05.
.5 Retard
dubs can't lie
Nah, but I have a job and can afford it anyway.
nono sry. i mean 0.5
50 cents? Cool.
5 cents ?
????
It's a fucking nickel you dumb fuck
obvious bate
It's free. Trick question.
x + y = 1.10
x = y + 1.00
y + 1.00 + y = 1.10
2y + 1.00 = 1.10
2y = 0.10
y = 5 cents = ball
4 mutha fuckah
Check yo white privilege biatch
The ball costs a nickel. The bat costs a $1.05.
Got this from veritasium, huh?
youtu.be
?????
Noice.
The ball costs 9$ leaving 1$ for the packaging.
Checked
are we including a specific state tax?
This is really basic stuff, user...
Trick question, you legally cant buy a bat
I don't math well
true, if you live in Jersey its considered a weapon...
...
5 cents or you get a free ball with the purchase of the bat and sales tax is 10%.
kek that made me laugh user
you poor soul. no one ever taught you simpler ways to figure this shit out?
5 cents you mongoloids
$1.00 more than the ball
ball= .05
bat = 1.05
1.10
You mean common sense
The answer is 12 you fucking normie pleb. We're not doing your grade 5 homework anymore.
It will cost free if you just brandish a denial handgun and say "gimme dat ball and gimme dat bat, befo I blow yo noggin into uranus"
What's the simpler way?
this
ball 0.05
bat 0.05 + 1dollar more
1.05 + 0.05 = 29.99$
>denial handgun
How does semiautomatic turn into denial?
user was using basic substitution to solve the problem. Take the first line of as the example. X is the variable for the bat.
Get an asian to do it for you..
>mfw I got it wrong and I'm a grown ass man
Lost
Why is there two y's randomly? When can one becomes a math god and just add y's to equation?
That part of the problem the user is just substituting in (y + 100) for x. It follows the same principle as if you knew the value for x.
From that line though, you would need to subtract the $1.00 from both sides, and add the Y variables together. Once you're there you just need to divide 2 from both sides to find the value for y.
ball + bat = 1.10
bat = ball + 1
So
ball + ball + 1 = 1.10
2ball = 0.10
ball = 0.05
nickle
One nickel
Do you think I post this for myself dumbass?
This is to show everyone how to solve the problem
You are all retarded the bat costs 1$ and the ball costs 10 cents
prove it mathematically with a demonstration
how much more does your bat cost than your ball costs?
5 cents
DERP!
(incorrect)
this
Reminder that 0.05$ retards are wrong
ball + 100 = 110
ball = 10 = .10$
read again dummy, ball + 100 = bat
just a bunch of math nerds who can't read in this thread.
Before or after tip?
t. retard
Back to your tard wrangler now
0.05 you fuck
