Reports of Israeli warplanes hitting IS positions in western Daraa. If true, this would benefit Ahrar al-Sham,FSA and the other salafist cunts in the area. Curious timing? Simultaneous with opposition elements gaining ground in the Azaz pocket.
Good, sourced article explaining how the Syrian civil war wasnt started by government or protestors; but by radical elements infiltrating the protests.

Syria: Students from besieged towns allowed to sit exams in government-held areas
Some 360 students from the rebel-controlled district of Moadamiyah, and 68 students from Madaya (nearly 40 km to the northwest of Damascus), have made it to the capital Damascus after being trapped in their towns for nearly 10 months. The Syrian government has granted limited access to aid agencies into the two towns despite allegations of a humanitarian crisis. The two towns are under the control of Syrian rebels who have agreed on the Russia-US brokered ceasefire with the Syrian government.
> It struck during late May, probably between May 20–29, at mid-morning, killing approximately 250,000 people

Mostly. He has, at times, exaggerated his reports. He's been known to exaggerate the importance of minor villages and simple things such as grain silos. His worst act of exaggeration came from when the SAA and Hezbollah began clearing out FSA forces in the anti-lebanon mountains. I do not remember the name of one of the villages, but I do remember him stating that one of them had been liberated, multiple pro-gov't sources had to come out and denounce his statement since it was not true.
Isaac Gutierrez
Google translate - are you Syrian ?
No, I am not.

Just dropped the article for consideration, didnt say anything about it.
the reports of Israel bombing IS in Daraa are on social media, I realise my post may make it seem like the article was the source.

Apparently hohols didin't expect this to happen, putting triple dots...

That's okay. I just saw that you seemed to support SSNP (No problem!), and I thought it was strange for a non-Syrian to be into that kind of thing.
Easton Myers
so you are Syrian then?

Well theyre right next door too, yeah. We'll see.

No. But most SSNP people are, so that's where my guess came from. Deductive logic.
Eli Cooper
#Amaq is not reporting either this or the Shaer gas fields destruction, so I'm gonna file both under BS for now. also /sg/ told me that Israel is ISIS so :^)
Lets hope that whatever happened, the Desert Hawks, Tiger Forces and the Tiger himself are fine ;_;
Oliver Morgan
Not a problem. Posting this is mostly for fun, but I do support the ssnp. I think they would be much better for the Syrian people if they were to be the dominant party given that they are left-nationalist, secular, and pro-military. They have quite a few platforms that I strongly endorse, sadly the party suffers from one major issue and that is that they have never adopted an economic policy. There has been debate over whether they are national socialists or some other type of social-left economic policy, but they really do not have one. Beyond this, they are patriotic and frequently have their party me members fight on the front lines alongside the SAA. I wish they had done better in the previous election, they ended up losing a couple of seats, but they do have representation in Assad's cabinet, so that is good right there.

What the heck is going on between the ypg and the FSA? First they establish a peace deal in northern Aleppo, now the ypg has cut off road access to central Aleppo. These tweets I am sharing come from pro-fsa accounts.
>@paradoxy13
>Reports that the Castello road, only route into Aleppo, has been cut due to intense YPG rocket & mortar shelling from Sheikh Maqsoud
>@HadiAlabdallah
>YPG units in Shaikh Maqsood have cut off Aleppo's last supply line, Castello Hwy, & injured civilians, by targeting it in shelling attacks.
Parker Carter
Well put. And I agree very much with the economics bit, although I can see why, given the political climate, that that might seem to be of secondary importance, at the most.

SAA finally managed to turn Shtora on

Well, 4.4 Earthquake does not cause any real damage. So probably they are fine.

ATGM countermeasure. Simply put it's an IR transmitter, and therefore interferes with and fucks up the missile's guidance system.
Lucas Moore
guns pleb here, the Shtora only works in the direction when the turret is aiming right? In that regard isn't the mirage-1 a better system? You can cover more area with it

Shtora can also jam modern guidance system which use a specific pattern to differ the missile from simple IR senders as far as I know.

It maddens me because so many good men died because of the SAA being the most incompetent ever when it comes to handling armor.
What IS THE GODDAM point in leaving ARMOURED VEHICLES JUST SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.
Almost every TOW video goes like this
> moderate beheaders spot a tank completely stationary in an open field > launch a rocket, tank does nothing > BOOM ALLAHU AKBAR!!!!
Ive been following this way pretty much since it started and the SAA HASNT LEARNED A SINGLE BIT when it comes to handling armor.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
ARMOURED VEHICLES ARE OFFENSIVE WEAPONS, NOT DEFENSIVE.
