I agree with the notion of the prime directive. I believe it should apply to nations here; no immigration from nations that haven't industrialized and produced a working nuclear reactor or something like that.

Genocide of the red shirts.

Those of the ever-present RAND Corporation, apparently.

The original article appears to be gone, so you'll have to put up with an infowars copy

So is Trek Socialist?

in TOS, Roddenberry intended to have Klingons = Nazis and Romulans = Japs. The Enterprise was like a patrolling WWII American submarine.

Utopian liberal UN shit really. Communists, niggers, chinks, jews etc all working together.

Closer to full on communism

Replicators in Trek render the word socialist obsolete because machines do the work of the workers of Marx's theories.

They even eliminated money. They even called it "credits" kek

money-less society .. probably something related to Zeitgeist

They believe in personal liberty above all else.

It's Marxist in that no one works who doesn't have to work and everyone can just focus on bettering themselves. The problem of production has been solved through the use of "replicators", devices which synthesize up anything you want. Naturally proponants of Marxist theory love to cite Star Trek as an example of how great Communism can be, while ignoring how the entire system would fall apart without the magic of the replicator which sadly hasn't been invented here in the real world quite yet.

In the Star Trek universe they were to the point where technologically they didn't need to manufacture anymore since food and items could be replicated. They were a post manufacturing utopia where people focused on learning and research rather than mining coal or stitching gloves. Money wasn't really and issue so it's not quite communism or capitalism, it's post currency essentially. Somehow one of you faggots will claim Star Trek is degenerate and then have to go masterbate to infowars

Original Star Trek, I can abide, it's once they got replicators and post-scarcity, that it went to shit. Became a soap opera for zit covered teenage boys who couldn't come by porn so had to wank it to tightly fitting uniforms.

Expansionist, seeking galactic victory via cultural marxism, with everyone equally placed beneath the Earth's guiding hand.

The Federation isn't so different from the other empires--the Klingots, the Romulans, the Founders, the Borg. They're just BETTER at conquest than those who try to earn it through war or deceit. Although really the Borg's assimilation would've come out on top, if not for Q giving Picard a heads-up the Federation was nearing the territories of the cybernetic marxists and Janeway traveling back in time (breaking the Temporal Prime Directive) just to FUCK the Borg UP.

post-scarcity? then why didn't they just replicate dilithium crystals? Or gold-pressed latnum? Or people?

Why didn't everybody have the latest, greatest class of star ship loaded up with tons of advanced weapons? Why not two main deflector dishes and 10 battle bridges? Why not just staff the whole ship with Captain Picards so it didn't even matter how many of them got killed? Why have some nobody in a red uniform beamed down just so he could accidently die?

National Socialism.

Das racis.

Fuck the Borg losing to the Federation. I'm watching through all of TNG at the moment, literally watching S5E24 at the moment, and the amount of situations that involve Commander Data pulling a solution out of his ass is annoying as fuck. The Borg, the Klingon civil war, being stuck in a fucking temporal loop, Data is the solution to over half of the ship's problems.

When technology makes scarcity non existent, it would be hard not to move to something resembling socialism because it comes down to what the fuck are we going to do as a human race. Of course we explore.

Data even gets laid, and doesn't even need emotions to please a woman. Admit it. Robots are the master race.

Getting laid with an unpopular dyke who dies half way into the first season isn't much of an achievement.

He still got more pussy than you ever would.

How many pussies do you think they'd all be replicating if the ship's computer weren't watching everything they did?

True but I bet his brother lore has fucked the tachyons out of some bitches.

>Captain James T. Kirk
What does the T stand for?
What is the T?
What is a Kirk?
Who is James?
The answer is: Spock is a Jew.
Do not be fooled with Vulcan tricks.

>"Computer, get me 40lbs of pussy and ass. Room temperature. And please, shaven this time."

Full commie socialist utopia

The holodeck must have some kind of controls to stop you just making holoporn, cause otherwise nothing would ever get done

Just imagine being some shitty ensign, and you get handed your schedule
>0800-1800 - scrub plasma coils
>1800-2200 - wash tools
Then you walk past the holodeck, where you can have a three way with Marlin Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. Either there's controls to stop everyone just blowing off work to fuck, or in the future everyone has willpower made of hardened steel

I bet it's both holodeck controls and the ship dispersing very small amounts of sexual suppressants constantly in all the food and drink

I don't know if is commie or not but I miss thoses old days were you watch a TV show with white actors and women were secondary roles. America pls stop putting blacks on everything you make.

Star Trek represented true multi-culturalism. True multi-culturalism was a prominent theme in lots of 50s-60s science fiction (in Arthur C Clarke's novels for instance). As in different people of ethnicities and nationalities cooperating and working together despite their differences.

Somehow, along the way decades later, multi-culturalism got corrupted to mean "everyone is the same, let's just blend every ethnicity and culture into one big mess".

Riker had a full on relationship with a holodeck ho, they did a bunch of heavy petting and the fuckening was implied. He was the 1st officer though so he's allowed to get cum all over the plasma inverters.

I've only watched the original series and The Next Generation.
Where do I go from here?

So the question stops being "are there holodeck restrictions" and becomes "how good a rank do you need to blow off work to fuck holograms?"

It's gotta be at least lieutenant, Barcely was fucking that holo troy

You stop because DS9 and VOY are terrible and never listen to anyone who says otherwise.

Just watch all the movies then. All on Netflix. There are like 3 or 4 in the Picard timeline. Deep space 9 is b movie quality. Janeway is OK but too stank a lesbo for my taste.

Oh common. DS9 is fascinating. You just don't truly appreciate the intricacies of Bajoran politics.

straight to voyager

Those creatures are literally supposed to be jews

I know my Bajoran politics, in that I'd give Ensign Ro the dick.

Yes and it also begs the question as to where the load would go when the program is turned off? For all intensive purposes the holograms are real while on. I bet kaku would know.

>fek we already used up our good ideas for how to make up new aliums
>what if we just put some wrinkles on her nose?
>brilliant!

...

>romulans = japs
>not russians
the entire cold war and arms race between the federation and romulans tho

>Spend 4 hours blowing load after load into Audery and Marlin on future cum producing drugs
>"Computer, end program"
>Girls fade away, cum splatters all over the floor
>Assign an ensign to mop up your cum

DS9's early seasons were weak, but then Sisko shaved his head.

Voyager was bad, though. Janeway was a bad captain.

there is none. it's fantasy. it's completely unworkable and ludicrous on its face.

you forgot to mention that ENT is garbage.

I'd just blow my load right in Wesley Crusher's little faggot mouth.

>'CAUSE I GOT FAITH

>it's completely unworkable and ludicrous on its face.
And your reasons for this are?

Underrated. Room temperature would be a bit cold though.

>What exactly are political views in the Star Trek universe?

In the Star Trek Universe, Bernie was elected president of USA and all the rest of the Star Trek political views flowed from there.

Fractal Suzerainty.

The Federation stands as the Suzerain authority over it's member states; regulating their interactions and foreign affairs but ceding any authority over internal affairs to the planetary government. Earth's planetary government likewise regulated Earth's affairs among the world's nations, but did not interfere in national politics. National governments, in turn, recognized the autonomy of local governments, and local governments respected individual rights. It's Suzerainty all the way down.

It's 2416! Don't be such a necro-phobe! Cold love is love!

b-but the doctor

some parts of Sup Forums want you to believe there are five. some media wants you to parrot back that there are five. you may be tortured to death for your beliefs, but if you are ever forced to tell the truth, always say that there are FOUR LIGHTS.

post-scarcity gommunism

it works because nobody has to work

its a very simple explanation of the point of diversity

>is it socialist?
lets see... no more money? Check
Stateless Earth? Check
Advanced human achievement? Check.
Jews, ring wingers, other troublemakers genocided? Check.

its a socialist utopia user
