Zebo a shit lol.
>He is the best back 3 player on the planet right now
that is just patently untrue, he's probably not even top three in this hemisphere, decent player though, certainly up there.
Zebo is world class
If Ben Smith had joined Munster he would have sat on the bench watching Zeebs
Quade looking crisp lads youtu.be
If Ben smith had joined Munster there would be a lot fewer Munster lasses walking about.
...
>tfw no Tameifuna and Atonio in same first row
wtf half of chch is covered in smoke lads
I don't watch Rugby, but seeing as my team is undoubtedly the best in the world i would like to gloat for a second and say fuck you all
If you're one of those nz flags that posts in /nfl/ you should execute yourself
>Earls has been excellent this 6N
how? please answer that
he was comfortably our worst back against scotland
>Earls and Zebo aren't our two most talented back 3 players.
zebo is our best, purely going forward on the wing and at the moment earls is too, (which says an awful lot about our back 3 options) but he's never been of international class, scores enough tries but every other part of his game is lacking
finishing - great
speed - good
aggression - good
fielding - adequate
kicking - poor
defence - poor
positioning - poor
passing - poor
awareness - poor
vision - poor
decision making - poor
literally countless times he's been shown up as inadequate at test level throughout his career, trimble is definitely ahead of him in the pecking order too
only thing stopping him starting against france is his lack of game time
>kicking - poor
>defence - poor
>positioning - poor
>passing - poor
>awareness - poor
>vision - poor
>decision making - poor
I'm not that big a fan of zebo but i think that's a little harsh. One thing I will say is that he has impressed me more in a munster shirt thatn he ever has playing in green, lower quality of opposition perhaps, less pressure.
One thing I always feel with zebo is when the chips are down and you need someone to stad up and be counted he won't be there. When times are good sure he'l score a try or two but when things get rough and dirty I dunno if he has the heart and conviction to be counted. Whereas if you look at players like sexton, o'connel or best you can tell they give a shit when the game is going good or bad.

What's wrong with football la?
Y U R O P E D
It's a bastard child of rugby
It's for cunts.
Can't you just enjoy both?
the sport itself is mostly alright, but the play stoppages are dreadful. Also unlimited substitutions is stupid, you shouldn't need an entire team for offense and defense.
Yes, if you're a cunt.
watched it waiting for super rugby. Its definitely watchable but theres a lot wrong with it. most games fatigue plays almost no part. way too many players and stoppages
cut the maximum number of players in a team in half and make the game flow quicker and Id watch it more
the superbowl was fun this year though
It's a game entirely of setpieces. Stoppages and clock management are just apart of the game, though because of it I would never watch a full game without any big teams. The unlimited subs allows for two whole teams which allows for more specialization and more in depth tactics.
I can understand, but it seems less based on the skill of the individual players and more on the management of the team. A good team should be able to come up with a play in a short period of time, and play both offense and defense.
I agree, I don't regret watching the super bowl
It's basically idiot-proofing sport against the players being retarded. All they need to do is execute skills. They do not need to be able to manage themselves in any way. There are about 3 players on the team who need to be capable of making decisions.
>There are about 3 players on the team who need to be capable of making decisions.
QB, RB and TE?
Pretty upset that it's just me and 2 PPs in the fantasy league lads.
Going to cancel it all together if we don't get more players. There's no glory in only destroying 2 people with my muscular elite rugby knowledge.
No really, though it is meant to have a lot of coach involvement. From what I understand the offense lines up alinks a formation to try and get past the defense, where as the defense tries to predict what kind of play they'll make and stuff it. Once the play starts and you see what the team is actually doing you need to adjust as best as possible.
Lines up in a formation*
I'll join, just post it a bit closer
We've had some great turnouts supe/rug/ in years past. Keep screenshotting your team and people will want to join. They'll be a few more argies this year who hopefully wont kill themselves
Fantasy leagues are for NEET faggots. Tipping is elite however.
>insulting NEET faggots
>on the kiwi-riddled rugby section of a Laotian crocheting and knitting pattern bebo page
Interesting strategy.
Long shot Lions bolters?
I can see Todd starting against them
Not sure you've noticed how posting increases after business hours in kiwi land? Therefore it follows that BSK's are well rounded individuals with high paying jobs, and prefer their shit posting to remain anonymous.
>high paying jobs
The only people without time to go on the internet at work are tradies.
Just finished putting together the first draft of my fantasy team lads. No $ spare. Some really muscular elite picks in there.
post it lad
>yfw da cheefs win da superr ugby
In other news, the USA managed to beat Uraguay and Brasil in the ARC, slowly but surely climbing out of the pit of despair.
Next step, score three tries against the Maori All Blacks
Thanks to our coaches.
Luatua > Squire
If Cane is injured Todd will start. I think the coaches have finally realised Ardie Savea is the chocolate version of Michael Hooper. Fast, good tackler, can't ruck for shit and doesn't belong in a 7 jersey.
My bolter would be Riko Ioane
...
Footy.
Nice
>kiwis haven't even invented the slouch hat yet
Kek. Hope you enjoy bumping your rifles in to the brim of your hats.
*bumps rifle on hat corks*
Gridiron itself as a game is pretty good, but its fun is all but ruined by how stereotypically American it is.
The game is bigger, but the players are louder, trashier, and all these pauses with sponsors commercials we don't care about
Why is either end of the rifle near your forehead?
Feeling suicidal la?
Need to talk about it?
>he's never shouldered arms
You cunts fucking deserve the Chinese invasion that's coming your way.
Is union or league more fun to play
probably league
or touch because I'm a literal runt
League, but if you can't handle some decent boomfa, you're gonna have a bad time.
t. backs
I haven't played since I was a kid
But yes I was a halfback
Union
Lack of breakdowns makes league boring
Nah loosie.
Social league's more fun for newcunts.
Fight me.
>yank accidentally says "lad" in real life
>all his friends now think he's a spastic who talks funny
fight and win.
Wish Heaslip would fuck off with his stupid soial media bollocks
Wish Heaslip wouldn't fuck off, Stander at 8 worries me far more than he does.
>he was comfortably our worst back against scotland
No he wasn't ringrose had a nightmare. Earls scored a try and wasn't at fault for any of ours so I'm not sure what you were seeing. Even Shane Horgan said Earls was our best back on the day and he notoriously wears the blue goggles.
Everyone outside of Leinster wishes he'd fuck off, he's holding back our backrow. POM - SOB - Stander would be insane.
>speed - good
Can we stop this meme? Zebo is not fast at all.
He's very fast. If you only watch Ireland and not Munster you probably don't see it since Joeball involves never getting separated from support. I've seen Kearneys actually stepping backwards for fear of running into open space and being isolated for the next ruck.
Are you a yank abroad?
Clerc is pretty handsome 2bh
I remember in the Scotland game when he intercepted and kicked ahead and Maitland still managed to beat him to the ball by 5 or so metres
It was Seymour and I don't think Zebo was slow or anything here. It does take adjustment after kicking and he was catching him by the end.
6N NEWS:
> Scotland's Greig Laidlaw ruled out for rest of campaign
bbc.co.uk
Scotland's skipper is out for the rest of the tourny.
Parra > Clerc
ripip in peace, Écosse
Parra is a cunt, and Clerc fucks Novès' daughter.
Actually prefer POM to Stander, Stander is a one trick pony, take away his carrying and he offers little else
Heaslip and SOB have both been better than him so far, especially Heaslip
Are one trick ponies inherently bad?
Lomu was a one trick pony
Not inherently, but it's all about balance. England wouldn't pick a back row of Hughes, Waldrom and Vunipola for example. And Wales wouldn't pick a back row of Davies, Tipuric and Jenkins
N. England now when sees itself on the mirror, sees Italy
I don't think you know very much about rugby if you think the only thing Stander does is carry. He's the complete backrow, strong on the deck, a lineout option, quick for a forward, excellent tackle stats and workrate. He's probably Ireland's best player.
Nick Williams is a good example of a backrow who carries and does very little else, I don't know what to think if you consider Stander to be like that.
oh and he literally used a tactical kick to set up a try for Gilroy last weekend. It's ridiculous how multi-skilled he is.
Or did he just hoof it up the pitch and Gilroy got a lucky bounce?
Hmm, really activates those neurons...
>He's the complete backrow, strong on the deck, a lineout option, quick for a forward, excellent tackle stats and workrate. He's probably Ireland's best player.
He's far from complete or Irelands best player bit of a showpony actually
He's has 0 turnovers won
His carrying was nullified against Scotland and he offered little else - 25 carries for 50 metres, averaging 2 metres a carry with 0 clean breaks and 1 defender beating
In short he was anonymous in that game
At 6' 1" and 17 stone he's not much of a lineout option, certainly not as much as Heaslip or POM - in fact he's been thrown to 0 times so far
He has decent tackle stats against Italy, again against Scotland where every other part of his game was so poor, they're worse than some backs
His workrate is nowhere near SOBs or Heaslip either
I guess he looks great against a combined Treviso Zebre XV though
As an outsider I'd much prefer Stander in my team. 25 carries is incredible for a 6 and his all around presence on the field is brilliant.
He's shit anyway.
>mfw reddit is acting like Scotland have lost prime McCaw
Greig Laidlaw is this generations Mike Blair.
>he literally used a tactical kick to set up a try for Gilroy last weekend
I've used 'tactical kicks' that resulted in tries a few times, and I'm not very good
it doesn't mean anything
Much better than Ali "Heroin Rage" Price
besides price going all manlet rage on players when the refs whistle has blown i enjoyed his play more than laidlaws
>NH posters still here
>russell is now goal kicker
Really looking forward to Ireland-France. Stander will face Picamoles, Gourdon, Chouly & maybe Le Roux. He'll get tested for sure.
And don't come back you cunt
>only 7 days, 11 hours and 23 minutes til super rugby starts up again
>only 3 teams signed on for fantasy

>battle at the breakdown is Ireland's speciality
>French battle at the breakdown is abysmal
I for one don't look forward to it, it will be a slaughter.
>53 of the 210 players from the current 6N are not born in the country they represent
>25%
what a fucking farce
>born in the country they represent
such a meme, better one would be people qualifying on residency.
...
That's actually not that many tbqh
You do know Dusautoir was born in Cote-d'ivoire (his father was diplomat), Parisse born in Argentina (both his parents are Italian, worked for Alitalia). Not everybody is like Vakatawa or Vunipolas
Ben Arous is back, he's massive at breakdown. So is Gourdon. Scotland's breakdown game last week was 20/20, Ireland won't be better.
>Moriarty
>Faletau
>Davies
>North
>Charteris
Not really fair to include these are "foreign players". North and Davies are Welsh speakers ffs.
Francis, Ball and Cuthbert are shameless poaches but whatever, it' not like we actively went out and bought them like the french, english and micks do.
