THAT'S what was missing from BvS. A character who wisecracks. A Han Solo type. Someone we can identify with because he's human and says human things.
I was so delighted with that small moment right at the top, telling the audience that this wasn't going to be all self-serious and bloated like Dawn of Justice was

That's what they were missing from the Star Wars prequels, too. Not to derail the conversation.
But yeah. DC movies don't need to be zany, they just need someone to lighten the tone so you don't just get worn out on grimdark bullshit.
There are other problems too, though. Even the humor feels forced.
It's frustrating, because we know they can Warner Bros. can do superhero adaptations that aren't shit. Yet they continue refusing to do so now.
