No one was

>tfw on the shitter when ww3 starts

It's amazing film.

The ending still gives me chills.

I enjoyed the first part, leading to the bombing, more than the actual depiction of post-bomb environment

It's fucking frightening isn't it.

As a follow up, check out the 'Protect & Survive' information written by the UK government

It's like "that's it? THAT'S your best advice??"

Just hand me a gun and I'll do myself.

BABBY

Wait a minute isn't this the movie that Jennings family watched in The Americans?

Didn't think that was real.

what did she mean by this?

My mom made me watch this when I was 9, shit was jokes. I couldn't sleep for weeks

>tfw live in Poland
>my country would most definitely be a nuclear battlefield
>not a single nuke shelter in the area

Fuck me, right?

yes..but fuck most of the major metropolitan area residents on both continents

the tech has gotten good enough now that they will all be casualties

>less than one generation after the bombs drop and humans suddenly don't know how to communicate

Always thought this was some stupid bullshit that felt like it was from a sci-fi novel and not an actual educated prediction of post-holocaust society.
Just because the education system breaks down doesn't mean language does.

We've had poor farm-communities for centuries where "schools" and "education" basically didn't exist, and if it didn't pertain to shucking corn it literally didn't matter.
They seemed to still know how to carry on the human abilities of language.

Yeah. I guess if there was a nuke warning I'd just stay where I am and embrace "the division".

Wouldn't make it to safety anyway and wouldn't have to deal with whatever would come after like the radiation poisoning or the scavenging.

yeah..some of Sup Forums might even get laid in those last 7 or so minutes

make the best use of the time

but i'm sure some would rather shitpost instead

>Just because the education system breaks down doesn't mean language does

Perhaps not, but the generation that lived through the war are left traumatised and emotionally broken - Ruth barely speaks after the attack. That isn't the kind of environment that would produce well-spoken kids

I live within two miles of the pentagon and less than five from the Capitol and the White House. If we ever got nukes I'd head right for the national mall to make sure I get vaporized.

Also I'd try to get dubs with my final post

>Sup Forums might even get laid in those last 7 or so minutes
I'm 100% that wouldn't happen unless it was literally rape.

shitposting would reach maximum levels until we all die

I love the fucking start of the war, when they are in their little bunker and the buzzer starts going.

Also just any stock footage of jets taking off gets my hype.

Probably the best place as I'd definitely be shitting myself when I found out.

Yup.

>Dude nukes lmao

It's still fucking stupid. Illiterate serfs who have known only poverty and misery are perfectly capable of normal speech. Tbqh the idea that society would irreparably collapse is pretty far fetched. It would be Black Death-tier shit, but not apocalyptic.

The nuclear war wouldn't start with every nuke flying. It would start with a collection of navy ships eating one. Then it would escalate from there.

From the news of a tactical nuke being used to when the rest of the nukes fly, that is your time to find some hills to hide between.

Those serfs probably haven't been born with defects or been exposed to radiation.

>le radiation meme
Fallout from a bomb lasts a month at most, except for the occasional groundburst (which accounts for a very small proportion of strikes).
