His dialogues tend to be 100% against the "show don't tell rule". Breaking the rules is cool, but sometimes it doesn't fully work. The Hateful Eight is literally Exposition through Dialogue The Movie.
That said, he is a true Master of Kino and modern cinema would be less interesting without him.
no because that's all he's about
fuck off retard
>can anyone critique his work and leave out all the valid complaints and work within my arbitrary guidelines I have set out
No
i could do better than him
He makes expensive B movies. Mostly cobbled together from scenes of older movies he saw.
Also his dialog bugs me for someone reason. Maybe its because its always long and fake as fuck sounding.
I really like his dialog work, mainly in Reservoir Dogs. Reservoir Dogs is probably his best work, then followed by Pupl Fiction. Everything else ranges from uninteresting to shit.
The dialogue in his movies is very hit or miss. Often times it comes off as intentionally memey, like in Pulp Fiction. he also has a strange habit of casting literally the same actors for literally the same kinds of roles in his movies.
He overindulges sometimes but other than that, he's one of the only autuers of our time. His work is admirable.
>arbitrary guidelines
you mean actual stupid things Sup Forums has become obsessed with that have nothing to do with a films quality.
Nah, I'm not gonna do it.
WHAT IS ALL THIS?
nah shut up

Mmmmmph
His dancing on the red carpet work while inpromptu, was also goofy and embarrassing to his date.
Edgy
>mfw i legitimately love most of his movies but I love the memes more, the gift that keeps on giving
His recent films (post Kill Bill) have lost the stylistic core that held up his films so far.
Inglorious Bastards is the most guilty of this, with weak characters, cartoony and uninteresting dialogue and poor visual direction it's obvious that the lack of an editor really hurt him.
Bastards was a slight improvement but it suffered from serious filler issues.
Hateful 8 was the closest to his classic work, it still wasn't quite as creative visually but the dialogue was finally on par with his old stuff.
Nah
aint gonna do it
MMMHHHHH
People pretend to hate his movies just so they can fit in and be contrarians when in reality he's one of the best filmmakers of our generation
if you're going to meme, at least meme with the correct spelling. you'll get more replaies
Imagine going on national tv in front of an audience of women, a black lady brings up your fetish and you blurt out that "it's a black male thing"
Wasn't a meme, nice substantive reply though

That says much more about the current state of film than it does about Tarantino. He's just derivative and boring.
his movies are boring and redundant
Haven't seen his last three films.
But I think it's far to label him creative and derivative.
That he tries to put nerd dialogue in the mouths of "cool guys", theories on pop-culture...
>Larry David apparently went ape-shit when he saw Pulp Fiction, he was like
>THEY STOLE SEINFELD'S SCHTIK, THAT BASTARD... WE'RE THE MINUTIA DIALOGUE SHOW.
He isn't even capable of doing the Spielberg/Hitchcock thing of: ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, in Tarantino's world it's people who only exist in the movies, existing in the fake world of movies, especially from Kill Bill onwards.
In a word... HE'S KITSCH!
...
Now having said that. I don't mind his movies.
They're better than capeshit by orders of magnitude.
But I find it hard to respect a man who has a foot fetish... and even harder to respect that man when he puts it into every film he's made.
His films are shit and anyone who likes them is shit and should feel bad
*fair to label
feet and black dicks is legit criticism because its actually in his fucking films
especially the foot faggotry, he needs to keep his creepy fetishes out of his fucking films
UNO
lol planet terror.
Not an argument
My biggest problem with him is his weird outlook on things. I get the feeling that the shocking of off-putting stuff he puts in his movies comes from his strange worldview; like he thinks he's shaking up preconceptions and disrupting people's complacency, but really he's just an /r9k/-tier weirdo who likes working out his frustrations by making movies. Granted that's a purer artistic impulse than what's behind most movies these days, but that's about it.
>Dude my movies are supposed to be bad lmao
What a fucking hack
The best argument against Tarantino is that he has completely stagnated as a filmmaker. There's nothing new to anything he makes, it's just the same regurgitated expositional dialogue, the same heavily stylized (and pointless) violence, sprinkled with pop-culture references and cartoonish characters. He's the very definition of a hack, he made some great original movies and then never did anything new ever again.
