IM SORRY BUT I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE CALL
based Collinsworth
OH NO
if they spiked the ball 3 times and kicked a field goal right after that catch then that would've been one of the great plays in super bowl history and atlanta's shining moment.
instead it will be forgotten in a year
My actual ringtone
>Le get bailed out by Julio man
What a fucking fraud Matt Ryan is, almost every throw he made was to one of his being open or uncoverable
"Don't worry, everyone will blame the coach, not you."
kek would be GOAT if he actually said this
why didn't Seattle run the ball?
Why?
it all
returns
to nothing
it all comes
tumbling down
tumbling down
tumbling dooowwwnnn
>marshawn was right there
>1 yard
>the city of Pete Carroll
Because Lynch struggled on the goal line and they only had 1 timeout, if they wanted to use all their downs they would have had to pass at least once.
OH NO!!!
collinsworth is a huge douche
i always watch this like 20 times in a row when i'm hungover or feeling shitty
imagine going from working at popeyes for minimum wage, to being called up by the patriots to play for them. Not only that, but you make one of the greatest plays in super bowl history and now have two rings.
>they're making a movie on Malcolm Butler
>the movie will likely end w. this interception
>tfw Hollywood will immortalize the Seacucks decision to pass instead of run
>tfw it will never be forgotten
I'm so glad this game was on NBC
Can you imagine Joe KEK calling this play?
That nigga really worked at Popeyes?
butlerrr.... interceptionnn..... patriots win the super bowlll......
"I immediately regret this decision."
"well they tried a pick play al and im sorry, i can't believe the call"
lynch has never been good at the goal line
the next year they were in an almost identical situation and they ran it only to not get enough yards
he's got the thousand yard stare
>pete carroll's face when
video plox XD
youtube?
now here's a guy
This is the greatest play in football. No other play comes to
>Win this play and you win THE SEASON
Even The Immaculate Reception was only in a playoff game, not the super bowl where everything is on the line.
This past 3-5 years have been some of the best years of sports we've ever had. The Cubs won the world series for Christ's sake
its all in the family
>"Here's Edelman, broken up, and the pass........ is.......... no sign yet....... Edelman comes down with the football and they're saying its a catch. Stay tuned for Cops followed by Family Guy followed by Cops"
2 soon
>Get 2 run plays with 20 seconds left
>Get a possible 3 plays with an incomplete
Boy, I wonder.
Mfw Brady almost threw a pick on 1St and goal in OT against the falcons
They could just pack the line of scrimmage and maul it over.
Mid to late 2000's were better.
Lynch converted just 12 out of 27 runs from the 1 yard line (and fumbled once) in 2010-2014.
It's not as easy as "pack the line of scrimmage and maul it over"
Sneaking it in isn't as easy as Brady makes it look.
can someone explain what is pick 6? why is it 6?
t. american football connoisseur
Touchdown = 6 points
Pick 6 = interception returned for a touchdown
You only add 1 or 2 extra points after scoring the touchdown
I didn't believe it either, pretty unreal. The guy was a good worker too.
You know Bill had someone call that popeyes and ask about him and if the answers were anything but "he's always here early, he works hard" He'd probably still be at that popeyes.
this
The truth:
There were 106 passes from the 1 yard line that year, and not a single one resulted in an interception
In that year Lynch had been given 5 attempts to run balls in from the 1 yard line and only succeeded once, on 2 of the rushes he actually lost yards
If they had run it and not got it, they would have had to use a timeout and be forced to pass anyway
If it wasn't picked off (which it was unlikely to have been in the first place) then everyone would be sucking his dick for making the genius decision to pass instead of running like everyone expected him to.
You think you got it, you think you understand. The other team practices too.
US TWELVES
unironically had no problem with Buck
why does everything go the pats way?
BUT WHY
>butler's int
>not even the best super bowl goal line int
I swear you dumb bandwaggon niggers are 12 year olds.
Webm is the actual best interception in the history of the game.
Yeah I don't know why people shit on Buck so much.
youtube.com
Especially on the replay, he was legit excited.
>lets see who comes down with it... oh that's a catch!
>oh my god...
>That's incredible!
What the fuck more do people want.
wasnt a last second interception and it didnt do anything to affect the game
fucking cardinals even led in the fourth
OH NO
you're an idiot
a 14 point swing affects any game
>the city jewdell
It was a 14 point swing in a game decided by 4 points... if not for that play Cardinals probably win in a blowout.
God Warner turned into such a fucking choke artist after his first season with the Rams. Two Super Bowls he threw a pick six in and lost by less than a touchdown.
Disagree.
Peyton messed up so badly
It's too bad not everyone is like you, instead we have so many literal retards that never wanna do research, or just throw shade on any Patriots victory.
It's hard to listen to.

>junior year of high school
>10-0, number one ranked team in the state
>first round of the playoffs
>facing the assholes one town over (our biggest rival)
>earlier in the season we beat their asses like 42-7
>anyways, this time they're prepared much better than before
>somehow they come back from being down 21-7 in the third quarter
>4th quarter comes
>26-27, they're winning
>after stopping them on third down and making them lose yardage, they punt and we get it back.
>early in the fourth quarter, our starting QB gets his shoulder injured
>sophomore QB called in to replace him
>does a pretty good job, big hype building around him for the future
>less than a minute left
>drive it downfield, get a first down on a crucial fourth down at midfield
>20 yard line, QB draws the defensive end offsides and we get a first down with some good yardage
>next few plays, get stopped on third down
>9 seconds to play, 4th down, clearly obvious what we should've done
>could've easily kicked a field goal and held them off for like 5 seconds after kicking it back to them before the game ended
>coach decides to go for it, pass play
>QB throws to the tight end running to his right in the end zone, looks open
>RIGHT at that moment the safety comes right up in front of the TE and intercepts the pass almost exactly like Butler did
>the absolutely shit feeling afterwards
>we were supposed to go to state
I know exactly how Carroll and the Seahawks felt
laughed out loud
>not at the end of the game
>not necessarily a bad play to pass there, it was just a horrible pass
>Steelers so everyone watching that wasnt a fan of the two teams was either asleep or turned it off from all the refball
>that comment section
Ya fine okay
>>junior year of high school
>I know exactly how Carroll and the Seahawks felt
its gross
WAKE ME UP
Cuz that play scores 9/10 times. Biggest reason for the int is browner recognizing it. Watch the replay, he motions the butler, and jams his reciever to prevent the pick. That play only works because he has practiced against seattle so much. Browner doesn't get enough credit
wow hes looking in two completely different directions at once
Both Browner and Butler knew the play. It was a play they practiced against multiple times in practice before the game. I don't think Browner gets enough credit for jamming the reciever and shutting down the pick on Butler, but you make is sound like if not for Browner being on the Seahawks the year before, there is no way the Patriots knew what was coming. That just isn't true. The Patriots coaches found the play favored by Seattle in game film and prepared their players for it accordingly.
CANT WAKE UP
>tfw we missed the timeline where the Seahawks and Warriors could've became dynasties
feels so fucking good
>The Patriots coaches found the play favored by Seattle in game film and prepared their players for it accordingly.
yeah if you watch the NFL Films thing on that Superbowl they talk about planning for that exact play in their walkthroughs and Butler fucking it up in practice
also crazy that Butler was even in the game at that point
the ultimate DO YOUR JOB moment
imagine how much better this would have been if Joe Buck called it
>getting btfo by the saints defense
