Always thought it was really boring watching on TV, but I went to a race live 2 years back at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Holy fuck is it intense. We got there early and it was like a festival, all kinds of events outside. Saw the cars line up and I picked one to follow, Kahne, and he ended up winning.

Very cool, and TV doesn't do it justice. Those cars go very fast and they literally trade paint. Anyway, not Sup Forums so what kind of shitpost is this? What are you sliding?

Rated.

I enjoyed it more as a kid (late 80s to mid 90s - back when it wasn't overly regulated) but I'll still watch it every once and a while.

I think he wanted you to look at the two numbers of the card he posted my dude

Back when I was a kid, I couldn't wait for the saturday morning cartoons to end on fox so nascar can air at noon

in the 90's seemed like nascar was really popular.

The correct name is "Turn Left"

Nascar is based. I watch religiously. Most white sport.

dale jr is a faggot, so is tony stewart.

get gud fambly.

wiat a minute. i see what you did there.

People only watch for the crashes, it's the WWE of motorsports.

It's boring as fuck and really fucking stupid. And they waste a ton of gas and materials running and maintaining these shitheaps.

>sport
It's not a sport. Golf is more real sport than car driving.

Idiots watch for wrecks. Real fans watch for the science and engineering. The lower down force package this year has produced amazing racing and passing.

Ya that octane gas should be given to inner city people who need it!

Seems simple but actually includes a tremendous amount of engineering and technical skill. Impressive sport.

Top Gear actually gives it a fair shake.

RIP Earnhardt Sr. The most tragic event of 2001.

I fucking love it OP. I am a diehard fan. Let me tell you all why I am a diehard fan.

>Almost all drivers and most crew members are white
>Almost all fans are white
>Almost all drivers are very respectable family men with wives and children that they fathered
>Respect the military
>Respect the country
>Respect christianity
>Racing is legitimately more exciting than any other sport
>Exciting fusion of men and machine

All forms of racing are pretty awesome in my book, but NASCAR appeals to me the most. The only real drawback to NASCAR these days is the number of commercials on the TV broadcasts. You do have to endure a lot of advertising, bit racing is quite fucking expensive.

NASCAR is the sport you would bring a Roman Emperor to spectate if you wanted to bring home how far we have advanced.

Prove me wrong
Pro tip: You can't

youtu.be/ZkKKMI9laIU

NASCAR was great when it was actually about stock cars. Now it's just prototypes with stock car-like bodywork.

God bless NASCAR

Best spectator sport in America

I don't personally care for it but I get tired of the hate about it, it does take extreme skill to do that at that level.

Road racing is where it's at. NASCAR can suck a dick, WTCC, DTM, V8SC is where it's at.

Craven vs KuBu circa 2003. Post epic nascar moments

agreed

Female spotted.

who f1 here

>not taking him to a trump rally

not even remotely Sup Forums related

baby's first race

>Almost all drivers are very respectable family men with wives and children that they fathered

>uses Kurt Busch as an example of this

I'm confuse

Didn't know Trump rally was a sport

It's fucking boring on TV but I bet it's amazing to watch live.

>tfw you will never be a NASCAR loving redneck
>you will never bang your slutty redneck gf in your truckbed at a race track

I prefer watching formula 1 and moto gp.

Valentino Rossi was the shit 14 years ago.

If we discuss the fact that

Brian France
David Ragan
Bill Elliott
Chase Elliott
Ryan Newman
Mark Martin

all endorsed Donald J Trump it's Sup Forums related

now fuck off

I'll tune into big races like Daytona and Talledega, but can't really be bothered to watch a whole season. Casual fan here.

I've been a fan of NASCAR for years. Sat down with a buddy one day and since I was drinking Miller High Life, picked the MIller Lite car as my car.

That guy retired, so I continued following the Blue Deuce, and when the driver changed cars, I stayed his fan.

I love going to races, the tailgating for NASCAR is just as good as college football.

I spend my Sunday's in the Spee /turnleft/ thread shitposting.

we need new pictures of Danicles, its always the same 4 damn pictures of Danicles posted. But she is learning.

pic related, It's Kurt's car.

You have to attend a race to understand the attraction. It's truly a spectacle to behold. It's a feast for all of the senses

...

...

More exciting than F1 tbqh. Torn between Nascar and WTCC

Fucking this. NASCAR is supposed to be about the best Detroit engineers combined with the best good ol boy moonrunners. From the mid 50s until the early 2000s it was based. A combination of Dale getting killed and Winston-Salem selling off the Grand National series set events in motion which have caused irreversible damage to the sport. Now it's about ads, drafting, and pretty boy drivers.

>What does Sup Forums think of Nascar?

Not the same after Earnhardt died and Tony Stewart went to Anger management classes.

Car racing used to be great, but it mostly sucks these days. F1, DTM, Nascar, BTCC... Everything went to shit. But I watch it anyway. Still better than any other sport.

But bike racing is much better IMHO. The last true racing of these days is probably (mostly Irish) road racing.

I was just posting a picture of my favorite driver. Kurt is probably an exception to the family man thing, though he has been a lot nicer lately. I met him in person too a few years back and he is a really nice guy to all the fans.

His brother has shaped up into quite the impressive young man as well.

In all seriousness, if I wanted to watch a load of people crashing into each other I'd start the "Little old Chinese lady GP"

Winston had to get out because of federal anti-tobacco laws that forced the tobacco manufacturers to stop advertising and sposorships

Love this one. I prefer her old bod with a bit more meat on the bones. She also looks very trashy :-)

Kurt is a nice guy. He places a lot of pressure on himself to perform well, and when the car sucks, he gets pissed at his team, and when he fucks up, he is the first to admit where he missed hitting his marks.

he is having a good year thus far

Kurt and Kyle both are very intelligent gentlemen.

Never met them personally but have seen them both up close at events during Champion's week in LV

nice. I will use this one this weekend during the all star race

How old was she in this pic?

its before her implants

dats my man.

Probably IndyCar days. It's weird because her hair looks darker back then. Idunno if she was dying it black or what her natural color is. Now it looks dark brown.

unrelated question: why do they put replica headlights on the cars?

All the teams do it, so I am assuming this is a requirement from NASCAR.

They don't even paint the cars anymore, the advertisement is a wrap, so why include artwork headlights? why not sell that space?

>CreepShot

nothing against NASCAR but you'd think they'd make the cars more specialised in "turn left" to beat track records and the competition

nope

same body since years
if you compare that to formula 1, the difference between now and 10 years ago is massive

you will never party with Kurt and Ashley

It just looks weird with out them really. And they are shaped like the cars they are based off of. Without them they wouldn't look anything like the cars they are supposed to be.

Is this the best nascar ever?

It's like the last little relic of when the cars were truly stock cars from the dealership

That changed in the 80s, of course, but they always kept the headlight/taillight decals

It looks good an reminds you of the sport's roots, also, The manufacturers still associate their NASCAR cars with a particular model that they are currently selling, so there is that attachment as well

They do this because manufacturers want the race cars to appear as similar as possible to their street cars they are trying to sell at the dealerships. It's actually a mandatory thing that the teams use the headlight decals on their race cars. The manufactures pay teams money all year long, and in return they expect each of the cars they supply money to, use all the car make logos and headlight decals.

You don't follow NASCAR at all. Zero knowledge. Zero understanding

Thanks for your contribution though

not bad.

I don't think you understand just how much engineering is put into those cars to make them turn left.

I went to the 500 this year. As a Martin Truex Jr. fan I was shitting myself that final lap.
