You know, I've been thinking a lot about this. Are the five children in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory supposed to represent some variation of the Deadly Sins? You've got Gluttony, Vanity, Greed, and maybe Wrath for Augustus, Veruca, Violet, and Mike respectively, and Charlie represents the ideal young child by being humble and considerate and not giving in to his Envy too much. Was this intentional? Do the parents represent Sins as well? Does Wonka?

Also Great Glass Elevator would be pure scifi kino

Vanity isn't a deadly sin.

wonka is envious of their youth
charlie is the MC he has no sin

The elevator was a metaphor for breaking through the literal glass ceiling of poverty Charlie lived in.

Hubris, whatever
