Why are you so upset that someone asked a guitar question in /gg/, user? You clearly want to just throw out insults, no matter how unjustified. If you're not comfortable adjusting your guitar yourself, that's ok, but don't berate others for having functioning hands.
Eli Cruz
cuz you're not white

Why don't you do both? For the first, you will need a tuxedo and two or three sets of music down pat with your band. Maybe a sound guy and PA. (You will figure it out.) For the second, a lesson plan.
Have you considered busking?
Asher Moore
How do you guys deal with stress of releasing your music?
I've been playing guitar for quite some time, but I only started writing a couple of years ago and it took me a lot of time to finally get down how to write a proper song. So I'm finally cooperating with a buddy that's a sound engineer to release a few shoddy songs I wrote. And I just feel hyper stressed about it.
I always feel that whatever I write/record is not good enough. I think that I write for myself but I also want to share it with people. It took me a year of studying and learning how to write to make the basic idea I've had into a proper song. And what it comes down to is 4 minutes of I guess "good enough" something.
What do? Anyone ever had these conflicting feelings or strong emotions about releasing something?
I want to send them off to a producer as a way to force myself to stop "working" on them and just force out new material. Staying creative, you know.
Cameron Rodriguez
your music is probably shit anyway
Jayden Brown
post it here and we'll tell you if its good or not
Will Toledo publicly released 6 shitty albums on bandcamp before he made even one good one, and it apparently worked for him. Remember that humans are social creatures, and we learn best by getting help from others. To not show other people your work is only to hinder yourself.
But I'd appreaciate CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, if possible.
Sadly I can't. Music is the last thing that I'm passionate about.
Thanks for any feedback guys. This isn't mixed yet, I haven't sent it to my soundengineer mate yet. I still need to rerecord a few tidbits, I feel.
Elijah Reed
>Music is the last thing that I'm passionate about
Owen Allen
I'm just not very into other things, that's what I meant. I'm super hyped about everything that is music and meh about other things.
Xavier Jackson
The music is generic and shit but thats not what bugs me. What pisses me off about you is that you come here posting your crap saying "i'm not very good" "it's probably bad" your beta bitch boy attitude is pathetic. If you have no conviction in your own work just fuck off.
Caleb Kelly
I don't think, this is the right way to go. Don't get me wrong, you seem like a pretty good guitarist who can put together a nice - be it not too technical - solo. But I think it would be better if you would join a prog rock/prog metal band with a good singer, because listen to you drone on for 5 minutes can get pretty boring (especially considering that some parts weren't 100% tight). But hey, keep trying, you'll get better and better!

reminder that Gibson is a scam and just a big marketing conglomerate like Apple

This is why I only support the real underdogs like Fender.

>not buying from your local luthier
Christian Allen
Thanks. You're right about this. Git gud or get out. This track painfully needs a vocalist. I haven't yet learned how to sing properly, so I just didn't put any vocals on here. I usually write with a wishful "full band" mindset so I could stick a vocalist if I ever found a group of people to play with that liked this.
Luke Harris
Is the guy who told me about the practice routine yesterday here? I was the fag that couldn't play stuff up to speed I tried tabbing out what he told me >Do your 1234 excercises, then go up, up by 1/2 tone and then back down I'm not sure if I got it right
Ian Myers
If you're in the north west you can join my band. With you, we'll already have two members.
Elijah Morgan
Eastern Europe, sorry, mate.

you could be one of those one man projects like this
well he killed himself so maybe that wasnt the best example
Michael Williams
I plan to be a one man band if no one wants me in their band. Some of my favorite acts started as one guy's pet project.
>well he killed himself That's okay; most of the people I look up to have killed themselves at some point in their lives.
Nathaniel Roberts
It's fine. We're all gonna make it. Also, could you elaborate on generic? Is it mostly because of the song structure? I'm still learning how to bridge different sections so I stick with the simplest song structures that work.
>I'm still learning how to bridge different sections how is that? just play another chord ue
Isaac White
Basically this? I did the 1234 2341 3412 4123 from steve vai's 10 hour workout

dunno i cant read shit music
Liam Turner
It just doesn't sound or work or write itself naturally for me yet. I'm getting there. I had trouble even getting different riffs that are on the same root note to sound right one after the other.
Been learning that through sheer amounts of whatever stuff I write. I just have a weird way of thinking about what's right and wrong. Mostly comes down to practice of songwriting, still.
