they all have different covers if you download it off bandcamp

remember that heretoir album that happened this year
shit was really good

hello yes are shoegaze girls a thing yet

holy shit that new japanese breakfast really surpassed my expectations

lol why would it matter to you lame-o

so is melody gonna be okay

oh
im not really interested in hearing some nobody bandcamp artist...

then get off Sup Forums man

I hope this is bait
If not leave immediately

maybe

holy shit live shugazi

being on here doesn't help either

ebay.com/itm/232415743680
500 usd but youll never have another chance to own the best shoegaze album

fuck

anyone have a blackgaze essentials chart?

who the fuck is gonna pay that?

Dickgaze

What is the noisiest shoegaze album/band?
I've gotten good albums from Astrobrite and GoH but I want more

a real patrician im sure

not really shoegaze but Les Rallizes Denudes is noisy and mellow as shit

The only thing noisier than those is straight white noise I think. Xinlisupreme is more noise rock but it's pretty abrasive.

Goslings - Grandeur of Hair
I am a lake of burning orchids - Summer in my veins

heard all

>Xinlisupreme
have heard of them, will listen

What's some richly orchestrated and colorful shoegaze? I'm thinking along the lines of ASDIG, Swirlies and Rollerskate Skinny.

...

Mob is pretty solid. I'll listen to their discog tomorrow, what am I in for?

...

400$

first two are good, last album is meh

What about EPs and singles? EPs are usually better than some albums in my experience.

yeah and they're usually fat, sadly

see slowdive

this album actually made me bust up laughing

the editing on Snowblinder is so bad. first half is solid and Elizabeth Colour Wheel is godly

ruined by the vocals

how am I supposed to listen to shoegaze if you don't post links

Eh I'd rather just hold out for a repress.

gogle

Recommend better. And you realize it's Blackgaze right

Yeah the concept is neat but jesus the clipping is so amateurish.
>Elizabeth Colour Wheel
definitely a top 10 contender track

only shit taste people dont like screaming
thats like only liking clean guitars or some gay shit

imo the vocals dont fit with that music. it's like blackcountry or rap metal, some things just sound like shit to my ears when combined, then compound that with the fuckin emo vocals.

>recommend better
youtube.com/watch?v=seE04phpHnI

i like screaming, but in metal music

doesnt panopticon do like blackcountry or something
is he good

Screaming is shit if there aren't guitars or drums over it. Why would I want some random fucker screaming in my ears? It's only acceptable as a low background noise.

i was imagining wayne hancock songs but with screamed vocals. panopticon is more like black metal with country interludes from what i've heard

this blackgaze sounds nice
youtube.com/watch?v=DYKlo6gOza8

Medicine?

That's such a sick album, that muffled DSBM sound is very cool. Almost like ambient black metal (people always use that term but incorrectly)

Still in search of that Russian dream-jangle song

Currently listening to I Am a Lake of Burning Orchids' "Innocence", one of my all-time favorites. I've gotten more into noise lately but no one does it as well as this guy, and the deep techno buried underneath it just takes it to the next level. Lights is the perfect noisegaze song; I'm always surprised that Summer In My Veins is his only well-known album, since I'd consider it his weakest.
I always liked the intensity that it can impart, like in an emo song when the instruments cut out but the guy's screaming gets more intense. With stuff like black metal a total lack of cleans really puts me in a different mindframe while listening, as autistic as that sounds.
Kentucky is excellent if you like WITTR-style American BM. Strong narrative with cool bluegrass interludes. His last two albums were well-received but were more standard pagan-core, I always preferred Kentucky's uniqueness

>intensity
I guess it's ok as long as the whole song isn't sung screaming.
Check out early Pygmy Lush records, their first and second album iirc have mostly screaming vocals. Not my cup of tea, but they are a solid band.

>Pygmy Lush
Mount Hope has been on my backlog forever, preesh

That album is one of the reasons I got interested in anything shoegazy, I say you are missing on a lot by not listening to it. It doesn't have screaming though, it's got a very interesting folk-like guitars; very unique mix of genres.

Theres a gorgeous girl that goes to my local scene that is into shoegaze, i Facebook stalked her and she always uploads shoegaze songs, she is like 28 though and im 23 and ugly so im fucked

;(

yes. actually my friend met some cute girl randomly in the dorms who was into shoegaze, we call her galaxie girl to this day and don't dare approach her

>tfw too autistic to talk to shoegaze qt

im gay

me too user lets cry over our inability to get a shoegaze bf to slowdive together

Just marathoned this. What did I think of it?

Rec me some very dense and noisey shoegaze

>using the word autistic
>failure

im listening to this for the first time right now
holy shit how have I never heard of this before, this is fucking great

...

where should i start with starflyer 59?

Grandeur of Hair - The Goslings. Entry level rec but whatever.

More like this?

it looks like it has a butthole for a mouth

>christian rock

So when I was a college radio DJ I remember seeing this posted on shugazi while I was going through stacks (went to school in Central CA). Played the first track on a whim. Bretty gud. Thanks lads

Any more hard-hitting songs like Tokyo Shoegazer - Bright?

Isn't it usual to just start from the beginning of the discography? I hear their early stuff is great.

Coaltar of the Deepers - Aoa
or Good Morning
Dive - Early Sonic June
shojoskip - Nami
Cruyff in the Bedroom - Bored Parade
Hartfield - A Sorrowful Heartland
Luminous Orange - Give a Hint
I know I'm a meme but all of きのこ帝国 - 渦になる

>be me
>in shoegaze band
>tfw
>don't look at shoes

Can someone recommend me an interesting shoegaze album/band? I've heard MBV's discography, some Slowdive albums and a solid amount of other well known bands, but they bore me to death. I've also heard most of famous blackgaze bands and the only one I liked was WITTR.
If you could recc some space themed shit, that would be cool, but any reccs are welcome.

this is nice but it's not shoegaze

You'd Prefer an Astronaut and Downward Is Heavenward by Hum

Gonna check those two out, thanks lad.

could anyone recommend me something as good or close to good as pic related? I love listening to old title fight and just hearing how drastically they changed their sound.

If you prefer shoegaze to dream pop, start with their first album. If the other way around, go with The Fashion Focus up to Leave Here a Stranger, then visit their earlier albums. is criminally underrated.

You can try Peripheral Vision by Turnover. It's lighter in sound but both albums are produced by the same guy.

woo emogaze is tight nigga

For real, the first medicine album was noisy as fuck

anything similar to sore eyelids s/t?

youtube.com/watch?v=rjCugrrNY24

Finally, it's fucking up boys.

terrible

The band wants to play surfrock and not shoegaze :(

This album is a shoegaze masterpiece.

What other genres should I put shoegaze with to organize my library? sgoegaze.dreampop.slowcore.noise?

youtube.com/watch?v=x-JQe3f6tc0

Kevin Shields needs to release a solo album

...

They're gonna release a 70-minute noise song. I guess you could look forward to that.

ITT: Post shugazi artists' true superior album

Absolutely correct.
Lately I've become convinced this really is Sweet Trip's magnum opus.

on screaming
youtube.com/watch?v=EgYRwPo3EzU
only this is acceptable, and god tier if the vocalist has actually some form of mental illness or is a weird person

I'd take anything at this point.

>be me
>learning guitar
>cant choose between math rock or shoegaze
>takes quick look at my shoes, covered in quotes from indie songs
>remembers i want the name of my shitty project to be a darko reference
>even more confused because donnie darko is emo and indie af
>sadly neets and continues to fuck around on justin guitar

>i want the name of my shitty project to be a darko reference

Don't do this that movie sucks.

Listening now, really liking it so far!

my taste in music already fucking sucks why not

What does /shugazi/ think of these guys?
I'm thinking about going to see them in concert.

I can safely say I never thought idolgaze would exist.

Much less idolgaze with a 70 minute song.
