Church on the right is comfy. Like me childhood.

Keep your religion out of the government. It isn't your damn business what people do in terms of 'morals' if they don't directly affect you.

Who the fuck said anything about the goverment? Traditional Catholics are more likely to be libertarians fucktard.

Ah yes, the church of Marlboro reds. That takes me back.

Not every church can afford sculptors to make priceless works of arts for them. Right isn't pretty, but I have no problem with it.

Nothing wrong with a humbled church if that is all that can be produced. The deliberate choice of minimalism or unorthodox style for its own sake is wrong.

Pic related. Expensive but ugly and nonsensical

Wasn't Jesus all about modesty?

If yes then the right is superior.

>Right isn't pretty, but I have no problem with it.

the fact that the cross is upside down making it a satanic symbol doesnt bother you?

>he doesnt know st peter's cross

get the fuck out of here, plebe.

Man doesn't live by bread alone. Mass is meant to feed the soul.

The Church should reflect a calling towards the divine not simply a place for social gathering.

Minimalism is a good alternative in the abscence of wealth of skill to create more traditional art.

The church doesn't make as much money as it used to, friend.

Christ would not approve of the church on the left. It's decadent and worldly and wasteful. The money put into that architectural shit could have been given to thr poor. The right is a little better.

Not entirely. There was a whole story specifically about lionizing the use of expensive and valuable items in direct reverence to God. The story goes that Mary Magdelene washed Jesus' feet with incredibly expensive and valuable perfume, and one of his apostles started chastising her for "wasting" her money like that, only for him to be rebuked gently by Jesus himself. It's not a waste and it's not sinful to create beautiful things or "waste" valuable things if it's utilized directly in worship of God, whether as part of his houses of worship or any other aspect of worship.

Again, Christ would not approve of building all that shit instead of giving that money to the poor.

Only because they the current state is not ruling in their interests. Historically the Church has been extremely statist and had no problem letting the state do its dirty work so they could remain pure.

Like Communists were they to get control of government there is no way they would wind back its power
