Turn on the robot from r9k (ask your mods if you don't know what it is) for a month or two
Make all superhero movie discussion go to Sup Forums or if you can create a board for superhero content that could clean up both Sup Forums and Sup Forums
Ban YouTube content( this is usually done but only if a certain mod is on. The other ones leave it up because it makes them laugh at Sup Forums)
Hire a night/evening janitor as that's when the spam aways happens
Get the mods to promote a janitor or two to mod status if they have qualified ones right now
chage the rules, change the mods, change the whole board, doesn't matter

I know that this sounds in a way lame, but we actually did a study in high school once in which we found an inverse correlation between board activity (replies & threads per hour) and post quality (pure shitposting / memes / insults / ad hominems as opposed to actual discussion).

Just make clear what's supposed to be on Sup Forums and what isn't, and make a separate board for whatever isn't.
For example:
- Youtube channels are television by every definition of television, can you discuss them on Sup Forums?
- celebrity discussion, including gossip or "opinions"
- various film/tv industry discussion that don't concern specific movies/shows/etc.
If you don't want actor/actress discussion, make /cel/, if you don't want film/tv/etc. industry discussion, make /ind/, if you don't want youtube discussion, make /atv/ (alternative TV) etc.
The only real problem is things that have absolutely no business here, blacked threads, Sup Forums threads.
The rest is fine. Bane posting is here to stay, it was confirmed eternal. Bane threads contain themselves when mods don't delete them all, the GOT gen has been good at keeping to itself.
How many janitors/mods are there for Sup Forums? Because it feels like there aren't enough. Obvious off topic threads like porn get deleted almost instantly on boards like Sup Forums, where threads are created almost as fast as Sup Forums. Yet on Sup Forums the porn and beast and edgy Sup Forums shit stays up for hours before a janitor/mod comes along and mass deletes them and then leaves for another couple of hours or so when it starts all over again. You should hire more people to moderate this board so that there are at least 2 people actively removing the garbage threads. And this shouldn't even be a permanent thing. Enforce tougher moderation for a couple of weeks and the shitposters will get tired and hopefully go back to Sup Forums or /trash/.
