Return Of The Cucks?
How smart are you? If you dont have a GT above 125, dont bother
What is a GT?
Kek
General technition. I believe they combine your math and science score (each out of 100) on the ASVAB to give you your GT score which determines what jobs you can do.
I got a 99 on both sections so my GT is a 198. Basically, if your GT is below 100 then you are retarded.
I haven't joined the Air Force yet
Wait what? Chair Force? It is not really military.
You don't take the ASVAB once you join. It's something you can take for free with no commitment.
I'm in army ROTC and I took the ASVAB in high school
I haven't taken the ASVAB yet
Is it like the SAT?
if you want to be a chair force officer, you should probably kill yourself. you will have the easiest workload in the easiest branch of the military. congrats faggot. be a man and join the Marine Corps. Even my sister had the balls to do it ypu spineless smear of shmegma.
nice trips. the armed services aptitude battery test is extremely easy, i used to be a recruiter. if you score under a 50, you have an obligation to society to cpmmit suicide before procreating.
this, everyone but the faggot coast guard will ridicule you relentlessly, and for good reason. theres like 100 ppl in the chair force that get respect.everyone else is juat like thanks for the ride, you missed a few hadjiis over there faggot
Is it easier than the sat?
yes
I joined the Navy in february and I am currently in DEP. I ship out september 18. Honestly air force is just a little bit of work and a lot of play. My friend is in air force base in UK and he sends me snapchats of him getting drunk every weekend. If you really want a career or to go to school after military i would reccomend navy also we have Navy seals which are the second best special forces behind Delta Force
Yea but if your not trying to be like them who gives a fuck about seals? Your job is far more important than what spec ops your branch has, cause you aren't getting into any of them
Can studying for sat give you better ASVAB scores?
Don't listen to As a corpsman I work with Marines on a daily basis and I hate my fucking job
when i was a recruiter i made my kids drink a red bull and eat a snickers bar before every asvab and they all scored high. its a common sense test
I did Army ROTC and I hate my life. Currently an Army officer. Enlisted life sucks in a different way but they have much more fun.
Get ready to hate your life, shipmate
Don't listen to people bitching about the Coast Guard. They have the best jobs, best duty stations, best everything. Enlist, have your fun, then use the GI bill for your education.
And don't waste your time in the Reserves/Guard for any branch
Oh and (Army officer from earlier here) the Air Force cadets I knew were either super cool (one is pretty much my best friend) or completely autistic virgins who told on their friends for partying. So make of that what you will.
Probably coming from someone thats not in the armed forces lol but if you want to join the military i applaud you and dont care what other people say
That not me, That is not OP
Actually I'm a corpsman stationed on Camp Pendleton. Fuck your glorified ideology. The military is where dreams and happiness go to die
ITT beta fags that dont realize that the USMC is the only legit military experience. I was in Afghan in 2011 getting into firefights in poppy fields while evwryone else chilled in safety making the same money.
>Marine: im pissing blood
>faggot Corpsman: here's some 800 mg ibuprofen, change your socks and drink water.
go back to eating your crayons you manchild
what does it feel like when Marines walk by you? How do you cope wwith the fact that any 1 of them is 5x as trained as you? A Marine cook can outshoot an Army Ranger.
Lmao im in ocs and will be making more money than you ever will and ill become a thoracic surgeon saving lives what do you do as a corpsman nothing thats what. Also not my fault you joined the navy for the wrong reasons. If you hate your life then leave thr navy we wont miss you cuck
that's not a legit response, all other branches are cucks, eagerly awaiting the moment when they suck Marine cum from the condoms we used to fuck your wives and mothers
what does it feel like when a crayon eating glue sniffer walks past? I assume they're on their way to rape another woman or do a circle jerk in their shitty barracks.
Marines are pussies. I was enlisted before. The vast majority of them are undisciplined and mind bogglingly stupid.
>faggot marine: me and three buddies gangbanged an entire Taiwanese whorehouse during port call two weeks ago now it hurts to pee plz halp
wew lad
your response doesn't make a whole lot of sense their private. Did you finish high school, or are you relying on "teh skool of hard nocks"
>will become Thoracic Surgeon
>Lmao
>im
>ocs
>ill
>thr
>wont
This is why everyone hates Officers. Ensigns prove to be more boot than most enlisted.
OP nobody has actually answered your question. I was Army but had several close friends in Air Force and here is the rundown: if you are an officer, you are either a pilot or you aren't shit. The Air Force culture is ruled by pilots and you are never going to go anywhere in that service if you aren't one of them. Although it is certainly possible for you to middle along with slow promotions and trudge along to a middling retirement, for example a 20-year major.
If you are an enlisted man, you will have it easier- by FAR- than any of the other military services. To the point that Air Force enlisted people expect to be well cared for and bitch about it; famously, a group of NCOs wrote a big protest letter in 2002 about how primitive conditions were in Afghanistan and their laundry didn't completely dry. I am not joking- that actually happened.
Which to a degree is true of their officer corps too. If you're not a pilot you have little purpose in the Air Force. But your work hours are favorable and you are more or less well treated, certainly compared to other services.
I think people with a lot of ambition would not like it because it is not all that demanding and you can feel life slipping away as other people your age rack up accomplishments.
It depends on what you want to do. If you want to become a pilot, join the academy. If not, AFROTC is a good option. Your college major can dictate what positions are available to you, so if you wanted to do Space Ops, you need a certain number of STEM credits. If I were you, I'd get in touch with the ROTC detachment at your school and get some information from them, what benefits are available to you, and what you'd like to do.
if you arent a Marine, youre shit. Whenever you walk past a Marine you will avert you eyes out of shame. When I was a Sergeant I didn't even bother to salute the 0-3 and below of other services, since they were scraping and begging me to give classes on combat.
I wonder if Army Sgt. Hollenbaugh does that, after single handedly saving the lives of a platoon of Marines while they cowered in fear and injury?
it doesn't take anything to become an NCO in the marines. How many crayons can you fit in your mouth?
said the edgy autist who enlisted because he couldn't get in to college. Anyone who actually says "boot" is cancer.
>Couldn't get into college
>Already have Master's in Engineering
>Put life on hold for a few years to try and give back to something greater, but found out the truth behind the propaganda.
Stay delusional, dipshit. I'm sure you'll end up homeless like most motivators.
hurr durr boot hooyah m8
and watch out for those officer only parts of the ship
Pretty much the only real response here. Did 8 years AF enlisted and you're there to make sure pilots can do their shit and sit in your air conditioned office and drink coffee. Frankly, if you're gonna do the military thing you may as well take the cozy branch. You'll get shit for it but as long as you're not a drooling retard and do well on the ASVAB you should be able to get a solid AFSC with nice hours and comfy chairs the taxpayers got screwed over for.
Except me, I was a weather guy and worked shit hours for years and years, including pretty much every weekend, but meh, whatever. Standing in my warm office sipping coffee and watching the sleet fall outside with 40KT wind gusts while the maintainer drones worked on the planes made it worth it.
>glorifies being an Officer
>has nothing better to do than brag about how great being an officer is on an anonymous web page
Good thing you aren't tasked with anything important.
And how would you know what I'm tasked with. Do pushups
Enjoy Great Lakes in the winter you dumb bitch.
I was navy in Afghanistan in 2011. If you're such a big bad killing machine, why did you call in tac air on every house and tree?
Ya'll weren't infantry, you were forward observers for the USS Bush.
>Will be making more money than you ever will and Ill become a thoracic surgeon saving lives what do you do as a corpsman nothing that's what
>what do you do
>nothing that's what
Hahahhahaahahahahahaahaahhahahahhahahahahaaha
Ah the delusion. At least aim a little higher next time with your fantasies of grandeur, kiddo
Was ROTC hard?
I was a machinist's mate on a carrier. Officer country doesn't mean shit. Unless you're the XO, you can get the fuck out of my way while I do my job.
Oh, and if you have female officers on board, guarantee they're getting pounded out by enlisted. Navy JOs are either wimpy little fags if men or huge sluts if females.
See >Lmao im in ocs
>in ocs
You aren't even an officer yet. Again, this is why nobody respects officers.
...
>bleach
get off my fucking board you fucking normalfag
ITT: Like 3 vets and a herd of highschool kids pretending to be in the military.
I bet you little niggers have "future soldier" stickers on your car and everything.
ROTC is for officers. Its worth it in the sense that you can make hella cash as an officer, but on the flipside you have to dedicate quite a bit of your life to the Air Force.
...
Is it difficult?
Cant say, i'm not an officer just an enlisted. From what i've heard its easier than the Air Force Academy (another way of becoming a commissioned officer in the Air Force). That being said, you still have to work on getting a 4 year degree alongside your ROTC program, which to some may or may not be a difficult task.
plz daddy
What do you need to do in rotc?
You enroll in a University with an Air Force ROTC program, and while working on your 4-year degree you also take some Air Force related classes. You also have to adhere to Air Force standards of fitness and grooming most likely.
it could be hard juggling rotc with other school commitments, but rotc itself wasn't hard.
I bet you make a mean cup of coffee
that ain't me guy, I'm an officer.
The E4 mafia continues to prove that they're the most dangerous rank. Think they know everything, too stupid to know they don't.
I'll give you that Naval ossifers are the most beta types in the world though. I chose a more alpha force to lead.
Do it. It's a great career. Anyone who talks shit about the Air Force is just mad they weren't smart enough to get in lol
Nigga we got Keurigs now, ain't you heard?
CHAIR FORCE
where's the fun in that
AFROTC doesn't give two shits about the ASVAB/AFQT, the only test that matters there is the AFOQT.
>A more alpha force
Look man, unless you're an O-4, mabe O-5, you're not leading. You're riding the tiger and hoping it doesn't buck you off and eat you. Your NCOs are doing all the leading.
what if my NCO's are fat, ROAD, or just plain stupid? What happens to your "none more professional than I" bullshit then?
I used to be an NCO guy, they are no better than the officer corps.
It's actually nice, since you always get a fresh cup and you can order the coffee through supply so it's on the government's dollar.
Coming off the 0200-0700 watch and copping a good cup of coffee before the chiefs get to the office was amazing.
>What if my NCOs are worthless
Fair. Some are always going to be shit. But if they're all shit then the problem lies higher up the chain.
>There are none better than the officer corps
I feel like that's probably on some gay poster in every ROTC office in America. The truth is, most JOs don't know shit when they get to their unit. The NCOs have to train them. By the time they're actually competent at their job, the officer gets transferred out and they have to start all over with a new 22 year old butterbar. Anything under an O-4 can usually be safely ignored.
>Anything under an O-4 can usually be safely ignored
I lol'd. You're basically right.
Just got to corpsman school here at the joint base, I recommend chair force if you like hot birches, army if you like PT, and navy if you don't want to be better than both of those
Also if you go marines I probably won't give you pain meds, but I will laugh at you, and that is the best medicine
That's why you join that. Fuck the military. I prefer cushy jobs and high pay over bullshit and dying for a shit country.
GT is for Army fuckstain
Air Force uses MAGE.
Hope you're not a 13A
you aren't wrong
You mean everyone's third choice? No, I'm not.
I'm gona be a 66S one day.
Then i'm going to hunt and kill every black NCO who's every fucked me over in my career.
Maybe even take a few out for destroying my history and culture (confederate statues).
These threads are always hilarious.
The military is a big diverse place. You need to know what you want to get out of it.
>bromance, MMMMMMMF's with a fat chick, street cred, PTSD
Average Marine or Soldier
>hardcore warrior experience, valhalla
Be good at any of the services "special forces"
>glorified welfare because you don't really do anything of value but your paid under minimum wage. Get told to sweep puddles, bag sand and other things to keep you busy enough to not fuck things up for other people.
Non combat positions as a fuckup (retarded, lazy or both)
>4 years of working your ass off to be follow up by 4x the pay as a contractor, free college, top of the line training. Do jobs that civilian side would need 10+ years of experience.
Be an ace troop in a technical role
BONUS: The govt is a mismanaged hellscape and there is a high chance you'll get sorted into the wrong one of these piles by accident and make everyone else's life miserable (see fuckup in any non fuckup position, see anyone who fell into a hardcore/very technical position by accident. )
Excuse me for being civy scum, but what is that Warrant Officer thing? I got the others too, and I get why that would be dangerous.
Warrant officers are officers that are suppose to be "technical" Officers rather than management officers. Its a whole different career path.
Picture an elusive old guy who is never without a coffee and never around. When he shows up he tells you exactly how to fix the problem with the helicopter, network, or tank that your whole shop has been working on all day.
Heads up dude.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT fuck around with the AF chicks. they have statistically high STD and STI rates, so if you're gonna just be extremely cautious.
Also, if you have HM1 Bissa as an instructor, absorb every bit of knowledge from him that you can. The guy was my mentor for a while and he really knows his shit
I fucked like 3 bareback in ol san antonio and no problems
Wait, do you guys have those in the military too? Fuck my life.
Pretty sure Air Force is the only branch that doesnt have Warrant officers.
