What? South Park may be dated, but they handle the topics they talk about without any interference from flavor-of-the-month guest stars and plots they've rehashed an infinite amount of times. South Park might not be a show within your tastes, but at least it's doing different stuff on a basis way more frequent than both Family Guy and The Simpsons.

The thing about family guy is even though the jokes are non-sequiturs, you don't see what the actual humor is before hand. Watch the first 5 minutes of south park and it's evident what all of the jokes will be.

I plan on watching like 5 hours of new South Park now that the new season is here, so adding five more wouldn't hurt. It's still pretty watchable, and they're still good about getting actual clever satire in their new episodes even if some of the charm from earlier seasons is gone.
Family Guy, on the flip side, has never been good.

South Park has gone downhill since around season 11 but its still a dozen times better at season 20 than Simpsons was at that point or even before that, and Family Guy was only ever good for a handful of seasons.
