Maybe they used VPNs too. That doesn't change the fact that Grimes is NOT the pleb choice. She's far less known than Bjork irl and she got huge acclaim for her music just like Bjork (e.g. Art Angels got a 88 Metascore, Vulnicura got a 87). Pleb means common, ordinary, for the masses. I'm a fan of Grimes and she's clearly very talented too but that doesn't make her better, for me. Ever since Post Bjork does nearly everything on the album then a co-producer, adds finishing touches. Arca only came in during Vulnicura when the album was 95% finished. She played him the near final album and wondered what he even needed to do. Grimes needs a breakout album like Post or Homogenic, for me to even consider her on Bjork's level.

Let's be real, Art Angels is superior to Post in every way. Far more inventive, diverse, catchy, wild, creative, powerful and well built. Also Visions is far more out there, futuristic and emotional than the frosty Homogenic. "Emotional landscapes"? Give me a break. A whole album about Grimes' struggles is more personal and touching than an album which is as moving as a glacier. IMO Grimes already surpassed Bjork and she will distance herself even more with her next album which will feature unexplored sonic landscapes Grimes will continue to grow as an artist in the forthcoming years.
Bjork has the advantage of being already an established icon and her albums were overanalyzed to death. But Grimes will get the respect reserved to legends in maximum a decade from now. She's too new now.

Actually yes. She's far more talented than Bowie. Bowie on his own couldn't do that much musically. e.g. without Brian Eno there wouldn't be Low. Grimes is like Prince - able to do about anything on their own, Bowie is more like Kanye or Madonna - a pop icon able to attract strong collaborators.
