In America, it's considered explicitly gay to care about how you dress.
This is obviously from Crazy Stupid Love.
Context, user.
because only gay cares about that stuff

how's hig school?
What's wrong about that? I'm genuinely curious. It looks comfy, and hides if you're fat or have a small penis.
wtf now i understand why americans wear clothes like that!
Guy on the right looks like an aryan ubermensch that's going places, has a highly respectable job, a beautiful wife and has a nice car.
Meanwhile Steve Carell on the left looks like a slouchy jew that lives in a worn down suburb with a wife thats fused to the sofa.
Makes sense.
At this point it is because of the Abilene paradox.

>In the Abilene paradox, a group of people collectively decide on a course of action that is counter to the preferences of many (or all) of the individuals in the group.
Everyone wears dumpy, cheap, shitty clothes because trying to dress "nice" or out of the ordinary from your friends and family ends up creating more headache than it is worth.
I was in a thrift store today looking through the clothes and wishing I could just wear whatever I wanted each day without it impacting my life too much. This is one of the big reasons I want to move away from my family.
I guess everyone who lived in the 50s through 80s was gay.
so you be saying that americans don't care about they dress cause they care too much about how they dress?
We don't put on any airs tbqh fâm
We are just humble, hardworking folks

If you dress like the real human bean in your pic people think you're a tryhard douche. He also is in his mid 30s. On the other hand, Steve looks like he is about to take his son to a ball game and let him get the biggest licorice rope they have. He is in his mid 50s as is past the point of giving a shit.
Bottom line: We do as we please. Note how non-Americans still have an inferiority complex after dropping $500 on an outfit
Holy shit, I am literally, LITERALLY, watching this movie at this very moment.
I take a break and open up Sup Forums and see this thread.
he looks like big rapper kid
I hate when that happens and they spoil it for you.
>implying they weren't
Sure is bluepilled in here. Why do you think they're bringing in so many Mexicans?
Anybody from /fit/ here?
How long would it take me to have a body like the one of Ryan Gosling?
In a certain way, yes.
Right now, I live with my parents. If I started wearing nice clothes different from theirs I would be separating myself out from them and be considered "uppity". This would cause problems for me. And yes, there is a certain cultural programming I have received that says trying to look good is "gay".
only americans can take pride in dressing like shit
>it costs $500 to not dress like shit
Steve could've just bought a size or two smaller that actually fits him, but no he had to get the biggest baggiest clothes like a nigger straight outta the hood.
>canadian and american side by side
woah
its like....poetry, it rhymes
Daily reminder fashion is the most important thing in looking good.
...
Why are foreigners obsessed with wearing their social class on their sleeve?
>If you dress correctly you are a try hard douche
>having an inferiority complex
Pick 2 you moron. You literally get jealous and pissy at the sight of someone dressing better than you.
why are you so obsessed with dressing like a 13 year old
but the shrimp dicked guys would wear better clothes to compensate
disagree, obviously gosling looks better no matter whos wearing what
I'm not obsessed with the way I dress because I'm not desperately trying to impress random people passing by me on the street I'll never talk to again.
French/English men = Stylish
Burgers and Can-fags = THUG UP YO LIFE (Style).
He dressed up for maximum comfiness.
You don't care about dressing fine and fancy after you turn 40.
you're clearly not obsessed with not looking like a 13 year old in front of your friends/family/colleagues either.
>tfw ywn be dressed as well as the man on the right
classy
yeah...
If I had Steve Carell money I'd dress like that too.
Go out, buy a simple button shirt (long sleeves, one colour, no stripes, blocks, etc.) and fitting jeans, and get some basic good looking shoes. Always tuck your shirt in the jeans, and make sure you have a belt on. Shit doesn't even have to be expensive.
Also, if you have to wear t-shirts, get basic ones without lots of text or other shit on it.
I did exactly that a few years ago and people have treated me way different ever since. Clothes really make the man.
Also, the colour of your belt should match with that of your shoes.
>jeans
I like his trousers desu
>basic good looking shoes
Such as?
Gosling is wearing really fucking obscure shoes.
I meant trousers I guess.
Though dark nice fitting jeans look quite well with a shirt too.
>Obscure shoes
Those are normal shoes actually. Please don't tell me you wear sporty sneakers with a buttoned shirt.
You could get that similar outfit from h&m for 100euroshekels
