Alright Sup Forums here's a challenge for you. The Seltzerburg films are considered some of the worst, most unfunny comedy movies of all time. Can you name one joke in any of them that was done well?
This includes: Date Movie, Disaster Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans and Vampires Suck. Five movies in total so finding one salvagable joke shouldn't be too hard right?

i've only watched it in german, the ga jokes like kissing men and highfiving women, the shoulder rub scene, just the complete turning of the edgy source material. i'm a fan of both the comic and the movie

Im with you here. It was the only good one out of those shitty spoof movies.
As for memorable laughs, first of all i remember the only reason i enjoyed it so much was because it revolved around 300 (a movie i enjoyed) and i was like the only one laughing in the theater.
As for specifics.
The scene with the oracles was funny. Instead of gold its various creams and skincare products as payment. Leonidas 's battle.
"First we're going to take them from the rear. Then we're going to reach around and take them again from the front!"

They just basically ripped on the fake abs, homosexual undertones, and ridiculous filmstyle of 300. A lot of the pop culture references are clearly dated now and were still hardly funny for their time. But meet the spartans IMO was the funniest of the bunch.

The Narnia kid's sex scene with the Mystique parody character in Epic Movie was funny. I was like 13 when I saw it though.
Epic movie has some good cap material.
I think Superhero Movie is the best out of all parodies that came out in the last ten years.

I can't think of many actually funny 'jokes' that the writers came up with, but Crista Flannigan and Nicole Parker were always pretty good, a lot of their lines were probably ad-libbed

I watched Epic Movie when I was 14 and I remember thinking Jack Swallows was hilarious.

Scary Movie franchise is made by someone else, Setlzgoyburgstein just aped the name and packaging to make them look similar and make audiences think they were of similar quality

It's actually the only good Scary Movie entry, and is directed/produced by David Zucker who worked on Airplane, Top Secret, The Kentucky Fried Movie and The Naked Gun
actually they co-wrote the first Scary Movie and are credited in all of the sequels as "based on characters created by..."
Scary Movie 1 is actually a good comedy though

There are certainly funny parts, but I think much of it falls flat. To be honest, it just makes me want to watch Scream instead

I think it's pretty damn funny, maybe not in a laugh-out-loud way but in a can't-stop-smiling kinda way
In the Meet the Spartans when the guy get's thrown in the pit he says something like "hit me baby one more time". I found that funny because I remember that song.

I have some bad news for you user...
I remember going to see Superhero Movie in high school with a few friends and the whole theater was laughing at a lot of the jokes. It's definitely the best one and I'm surprised it didn't shoot off a comedy route for Drake Bell
