Can anyone PLEASE identify this open tuning? I restringed my guitar without writing it down and now i cant remember it. This is a snippet from a backing track i recorded. This is all the strings open
Asher Turner
sounds like open g. cant figure it for yourself, sissy?
Ayden Stewart
Ive so far jammed my guitar into the wall and broke a string out of frustration
Camden Wood
Shit i think you might be right.
Isaac Green
Guitar isn't gay, it's just for scrubs
Josiah Russell
will i not be gay anymore if i dont play for like a week?
Mason Nguyen
now post a pic of a pen stuck on your asshole
Hudson Wood
how do i into gay guitar playing
Jordan Evans
Shoegaze. If you want to actually be cool, classical or flamenco. If you want to be an edgy teen or a neckbeard fedora tipper, metal.
If you have the money for it, you have TRIED it before buying it, and you liked it? Then why not? Go for it. If not, then I would actually try it before you spend money on a guitar that you may, or may not like.
Hudson Parker
I think he looks pretty cool except for being in his mom's house.
Jeremiah Diaz
I think thats my issue.. I have no way of trying one. But i still want it.
Adam Campbell
From what I gather, Suhr makes decent instruments, however, they are pricey. I wouldn't feel comfortable dropping 1k+ for a guitar that I haven't tried. Look up reviews, look at the scale length, fret size, and decide if this guitar would be good for you. I really douby anyone here on /gg/ has gotten a Suhr when everyone plays squiers, condor's, and epiphones.
Cooper Wood
yeah im a love struck babe im a lov struk babbe
Jacob Davis
>he claims to be searching for "that earthy tube tone" >he owns a Les Paul without P90s >he owns a Tubescreamer >he owns a fucking Silicon Fuzz Face >he doesn't record into tape reel or cassette and then bounces it into a DAW name that guy, /gg/
Gavin Price
too expensive better get a halo custom guitar for that price
Nicholas Ross
>he doesn't take out a second mortgage on his house to get a Dumble
What are you even doing, m8?
Adam Jenkins
dumble sucks even software does a better job of amplifying the guitar
Christopher Murphy
a fucking idiot only idiots still search for "that earthy tube tone" go digital or go extinct fuckers
Jacob Flores
using the word tone to describe a guitar sound is pointless
Joshua Roberts
Then what word would you use?
Christopher Cook
"guitar sound"
Logan Long
How is that less pointless
Jace Davis
Everyone always goes on about tone this and tone that "how do i get that tone" "ive been searching for this tone for 30 years" "tone for days" "what amp will give me that tone" blah blah
but what they really want is the ability of the player, because most of the time the actual guitar/amp sound is just generic distorted amp with delay
its like the idiot who buys all of david gilmour's equipment so he can sound like him, but in the end he still sounds like shit "tone" is psychological
Wyatt Cook
why tone is pointless
Landon Ramirez
Having a heavy pick attack isn't sloppy famalam, sorry to break it to you. Though note taken, I'll stand a bit further from the phone next time I record something. I'm afraid of cranking the volume in case I overload the mic on the phone.
players ability is part of tone.
Jack Hall
meanwhile i sound good with either my alien, my zoom plugged to that little bass amp or the amp of the studio the bands reharsing at
Levi Reyes
Okay have fun on your Crate amp with your Fisher-Price guitar.
Cooper Green
>jamming n noodlin to srv concerts or someone else >fun af, takin some from the players' ideas >find a similar sounding backing track and play over it >dumbed down to repetitive ideas, not enjoying it
The player's technique and ability is every bit as important as the gear they use
Asher Reed
>his guitar is more expensive than his amp
Landon Gray
I saw a guitar i liked today at a pawn shop but it's in very bad shape nothing unfixable for 50 bucks. Should i get it and pretend it's a relic? Pic related-ish (same guitar model but not the one at the shop)
Nolan Clark
Do whatever the fuck you want it's your money m8
Adam Baker
Yup. I own two 2000+$ Basses and play them through a 5W mini amp.
Jason Lopez
Does it sound good? That's all you should care about.
Cooper Foster
>can't practice often because of job
How do I quit my job and become NEET so I can focus my energy on songwriting and playing?
Tyler Campbell
>he doesn't use a 100 watt head + full stack to play in his garage to backing tracks
Tyler Cook
you're on Sup Forums. Thats probably a lot of time you could free up right there
Easton Harris
I would need to get it some new strings and tune it upto check how well it holds up, but it does play better that my current acoustic (costed 50 bucks too)
Jason Bennett
>bought cheap guitar and cheap amp years ago >feel like buying something more expensive is pointless because I still sound like shit
Should I throw out 500 bucks for an orange amp? Or should I keep playing the shit hardware until it sounds good anyway?
Jack Gonzalez
I got a $120 electric guitar and a $30 amp, what should I upgrade first?
Xavier Hall
Orange is gay
Noah Martin
is that good or bad?
Angel Perez
The one you hate the most Depends, are you gay?
Landon Green
Probably the amp then, would you recommend any? I don't really know where to start looking.
Logan Ortiz
will i earn gg points if i make videos playing every guitar solo from ace frehley albums
Colton Moore
youre going to sound like shit with the new amp so whats the point?
Jayden Parker
What amps would you guys recommend? mines an old shitty $30 one. Thanks
Adam Harris
zoom g1on and a decent home teather
Xavier Williams
Wouldn't know i only have a 10w epiphone(it's shit btw) probably your amp is better than mine
Kayden Morris
You didn't tell us your budget you stupid cunt
Jaxon Foster
Oh right, my bad I guess 100$
Zachary Sanchez
home teather?
I'll also be playing them on headphones only for the time being, don't know if that makes a difference.
Brandon Brooks
I picked up a Peavy Vypyr 30 on ebay for 100 bucks. I can't play for shit, but people tell me it's good (for a modeling amp).
Lucas Hill
>i'm sloppy only because i want to
Jaxon Harris
I'm getting a gonna get a Standard Fender Telecaster guys.
Any tips for a beginner on the electric guitar? I'm fairly good at acoustic already.
Bentley Sanders
Apparently I'm retarded, no gonna get*
Ethan Ramirez
It's the same shit nigga
Angel Johnson
Are you retarded or just baiting?
Robert Richardson
>when /gg/ slowly starts turning into /fit/
Brody Long
Are you sloppy or its all on purpose?
Ryan Hill
Only if you are Scott Grove.
Nicholas Young
Heavy pick attack and sloppy are not the same thing.
I appreciate the feedback, like I said next time I'll make sure not to stand so close to the camera
Liam Gomez
>a bunch of /r9k/ faggots shitposting
Yeah I can see it
Jackson Perez
but then i wont chat about guitars
Tyler Nelson
youtube.com/watch?v=e8rIrjk3e6M Is this the video you're trying to defend? Because you are getting really sloppy in the second half, it's not just pick noise. Stop trying to protect your ego and just practice more
Carter Harris
My computer is a toaster. I can't even record my demo because it skips like crazy
Gabriel Thompson
Mesa/Booge Dual Rectifier
Cooper Smith
Anyone here play bossa nova? Wouldn't mind hearing a clypit
Jackson Jackson
yes just a bit
Evan Reyes
The original critisizm (which I now assume was meant as an insult) was " I can hear your strings more than the amp/guitar, stop being sloppy" Which i took to mean my heavy pick attack was sloppy, which is what I was defending.
You are right though, I never claimed to be good but you are fair in the playing of the last bit was not super clean and pristine, still practicing every day like I should be.
However I also didn't intend for it to be a 5 star pedal review, and I can also only assume that the heavy attack didn't help, but I can basically assure you my pick attack is always that heavy.
Liam Flores
>i-i am not wrong! its all because my attack is strong! >the notes are not choking up, its just the pick attack that youre hearing!
Lucas Rogers
its so fun to play and sing wild world
Aiden Brown
Where did I say I'm not wrong in the last post? I actually said you were right about the later playing being sloppy, and that I am still practicing everyday like I should be. I merely said the pick attack didn't help at all since the sound of the strings being struck was close to the camera/phone position.
Jacob Torres
>i always have a heavy attack! i'm so macho!
Dylan Kelly
>Telecaster vomit
Carter White
guess the conversation is over if you are just gonna be a shitlord since I never implied anything of the sort. have a nice one I guess
Noah Butler
Headstock needs an inlay logo and no paint. Body match would be best. I would prefer a darker board with nicer fret markers too. Honestly, it looks like a production neck stuck on a custom body.
Noah Richardson
Looks like a lipsynch video but with guitar. Turn down the music. Turn up the guitar.
>acdc The band name means bi-sexual so I guess you would have to swing both ways.
I'd say the stratocaster is the most versatile sounding guitar ever made and also the most important electric guitar ever made from a historical standpoint
now "best" is a bit to subjective
Bentley Evans
Software can't do that at some point you need real physical hardware you fucking idiot.
Liam Taylor
String noise isn't the same as heavy pick attack, I never even mentioned your pick attack, that being said consider the fact that plenty of really good players manage to have a heavy pick attack without letting every single string other than the one they pick ring out all at once. Use your fucking hands to mute the strings you aren't meaning to play.
It has nothing to do with proximity btw it's all technique or in this case lack thereof.
