FUCKING

LOAFERS

Vesper is dead

...

Script was really sort of breezy, things just happen in succession. No weight, depth, or any sense of measured unfurling. Blofeld was a prime example, no gravitas, very slight. He was perfectly acted and could have been iconic w better script.

she was dead in skyfall, and it was okay

to me part of the problem was them trying to balance the dramatic craig bond with the more silly old bonds. didnt work

Pretty much. It was the perfect set up for the ultimate bad guy and then no punch whatsoever in the second half.

Terrible villain

The audience is supposed to be scared of Blofeld simply because he’s Blofeld and we recognise him from the old films. But he’s not the same old Blofeld, he’s an entirely new character with a new backstory. Are we supposed to think he’s a great villain just because he dresses the same way and has the same scar as a villain we remember from the old films? The film seems to think so because he accomplishes fuck all in the movie and comes off like a bumbling idiot more than a genius schemer. He and his organisation fail in literally everything they set out to accomplish; they don’t blow up the stadium, they don’t get to Mr White, they let Bond to easily infiltrate their secret meeting, they let Bond beat them to the girl, they let Bond easily win/escape on multiple occasions, they let Bond blow up their base and their shitty master plan is easily sabotaged.

I guess the writers realised this so they decided instead to just have him piggyback off the achievements of all the other villains. Le Chiffe, Greene, Silva, they were all working for Blofeld all along! Even though Le Chiffe was just trying to get money to save his own ass and Silva was on an insane personal vendetta they were secretly part of this Illuminati-esque secret society the entire time and they all owned the same ring that was never once shown on screen. Literally all of the last three movies have just been an elaborate plot by Blofeld to fuck with James Bond, whom the universe revolves around. It’s such shitty writing, it’s like a season of 24 where a street gang secretly work for terrorists who secretly work for the CIA, just shitty man behind the man plot twists that don’t add anything.

So since all this falls flat, what does Blofeld have going for him? Some half assed long lost brother shit that doesn’t add anything at all to the story and Cristoph Waltz doing the super polite villain thing he’s done like five times by now.

did u just write that or copy it from somewhere

It was just there. It had no reason to exist.

Skyfall was garbage.

Bury Her.

The third act. it's like they tried to fit everything together lol

>The audience is supposed to be scared of Blofeld simply because he’s Blofeld and we recognise him from the old films.

This is literally the worst argument ever.

Literally Star Trek Into Darkness. A remake nobody asked for shoehorned in the worst way possible with plot twists that surprised no one.

>Even though Le Chiffe was just trying to get money to save his own ass

Le Chiffre was established as handling QUANTUM/SPECTRE's money is Casino Royale though. That's why White was hanging around him to begin with.

Also did anyone find it hilarious how they downplayed Quantum of Solace's existence as hard as they could?

>LE CHIFFRE WAS PART OF IT JAMES

>greene was there too I guess I dunno

>SILVA WORKED FOR ME TOO JAMES

I mean Quantum was a bad movie, but you can't just pretend it didn't happen. Just take the good parts of the film and spin them into gold instead of trying to ignore its existence. They should have brought back Olga Kurylenko in Spectre, she was the only interesting aspect of Quantum and would actually fit into the narrative pretty cleanly if they tried.

And did Jeffrey Wright take a shit in Craig's lunch on set one day or something? Where the fuck has Felix been the past two movies?

i actually liked quantum more than spectre.

Quantum was more ambitious from a character level but most of the action was trash and the villain was terrible. It has a handful some interesting ideas mired in poor execution.

I was at least enjoying Spectre right up until the end of the train scene.

Even the poster is shit

>craig
>bond

They brought back Sam Mendez.

The entire movie had this feeling of being tired and like it didn't even want to be there.

>yawn here's some car chases and a hot girl for bond
>oh yeah and here's some classic callbacks and stuff, if you care
