Mediocre yuro joins english club

>mediocre yuro joins english club
>all of a sudden media say he is the best player in the world and has never played this well in the past

Are Brits really this dumb or is it just a rouse to not hurt Rooney's feelings?

>all of a sudden media say he is the best player in the world and has never played this well in the past
Source? I think people always rated him, they're just impressed that he's still doing so well at an age where most players think about slowing down and retiring.

this is called "the premier league has a lot of money and everyone with a media presence will eagerly slobber on its cock in the faint hope of some indirect kickback"

>the premier league has a lot of money

What you have to ask yourself is why the Premier League has a lot of money. The answer is that it is the best league top-to-bottom in the world.

>>mediocre yuro
nah

It's pretty sad that a 35 year old geriatric with mostly mediocre talent is surrounding him is leading (or is close to) the "toughest legue in the world'" scoring charts. If he came over 10 years ago, he'd score 35+ every year.

Premier League was actually the best league top to bottom 10 years ago though. Quality of play also was much better then desu (see Messi not being able to score against Chelsea in the CL from 05-12)

Yeah but he has raped Arsenal so many times now as well as Man City and United. Chelsea were the only exception

>this meme
If Chelsea actually had consistent CL football then they would have played Barca more often and Messi would have probably scored at least one by now. As far as I remember, the only time Chelsea knocked out Barcelona was in 2012, and everyone knows that they were big underdogs to win that year anyway.

only customers actually think Ibra is good desu

nope, TV deals

Ah yes, the "Jew run" media is going to give huge TV deals to one of the lower tier leagues in Europe.

Too much nose candy for you, buddy

its a fucking disgrace

Keke'd hard when they got Payet and tried to clami he was world class, and had the best season in his career at 30.

He's just always been a decent technical player, with inconsistant end product

He was one of the best players at Euro 2016

players that join manure are instantly potential world class talents

if they have 3 good games in a season then the british media will laude them as certified world class™

depay was the next robben
martial was the next henry
lingard was the next giggs
darmian was the next lahm
di maria was the next beckham
falcao was the next cantona
smalling was touted as the next ramos because he was good at double parking the bus under van laal

Australia was the next prison

england is already the next caliphate

A desert full of retards? Sounds more like Australia

depay was the next ronaldo m7

>If Chelsea actually had consistent CL football

Retard, idiot, stupid.

Chelsea did have consistent CL football.

t. seething muzzie

>that arsenal-tier R16 record

>conveniently not mentioning the last 5 seasons

>Messi not being able to score against Chelsea in the CL from 05-12

Chelsea have played Barcelona 12 times in Champions League you melt:
1999/2000
2004/2005 (knocked Barca out)
2005/2006
2006/2007 (finished above Barca in group stages)
2008/2009
2011/2012 (knocked Barca out)

Jesus fucking Christ don't comment if you've only been watching football for 3 years

Lets see Chelsea's record before Abramovich??

Based ranieri finished 2nd with them the year before oil money came

>Based ranieri finished 2nd with them the year before oil money came
Uhmm, that was actually the first year of Abramovich after a record breaking transfer window

>Being this plastic

he alway scored less than 30 goals a season before he turned 30. Always scored more than 30 after.
So 10 years ago he would have scored 29 at most

For a 'small club' Chelsea were pretty decent in the 90s and early 00s. 2 fa cups, 1 league cup, 1 CWC, 1 super cup, never finished lower than 6th from 1996 onwards, finished 3rd in 1999 & did better in Europe than Arsenal do nowadays.
Not like City who were battling relegation every year

good marketing and language advantage

nope it's because americans are too dumb to learn another language and therefore can only watch the Premier League because it is in english. Which means they have a whole market for themselves.

I thought all Americans were actually Mexican, so would therefore only watch la liga?

Chelsea were the spurs of the late 90s but with better cup success

There are a lot of latino Barca/Madrid fans in the USA. South East Asia is a huge market that's way more Premier League centric than the USA

Get fucked were they. Spurs only won 2 league cups in that period and never finished any higher than 7th. You're either a teenager who's just started watching football or you're ABC scum

The answer is that Asians, Scandinavians and Americans prefer English to Spanish/German/Italian

>in that period
I meant when you compare it to now you eejit

in california, where america is already mexico, the chicanos follow both a mexican league team and either madrid/barca. however they are chelsea fans if you talk about the premier league.

Compare the two records in Europe and come back when you actually know what you're talking about

You mean Chelsea did better in cups? Like I literally said

asians will also learn english as a european language rather than any one else, except for pinoys who literally have no excuse other than being shitheads for supporting an english team.

Stay mad Heinrich Muhammad.

We don't need to learn a second language when everyone else learns ours.

The world speaks our language.
Eats our food (McDonalds)
Drinks our beer (Budweiser)
Drinks our soda (Coca-Cola)
Smokes out cigarettes (Marlboro)

The world is already ours. It's why most of us are fat and lazy. There's nothing left to conquer except space and that's still a bit away.

>budweiser
>marlboro
>mcdonalds

This is what sharts actually believe people

>Eats our food (McDonalds)
>Drinks our beer (Budweiser)
>Drinks our soda (Coca-Cola)
>Smokes out cigarettes (Marlboro)

Is this the pinnacle of American culture?

He's over the hill now. Unted was like joining the MLS for him.

When he was 30-33 he was still really good by any standards

Definitely not. Ten years ago it was still the best league in the world, even guys like Drogba, Torres, Rooney didn't score that much. Hell even Donaldo during his career's best season couldn't score 60 goals

Some people think football started in 2011 and that Bayern, Madrid and Barcelona were always ahead of the others.

>or is it just a rouse to not hurt Rooney's feelings?
Basically
I've come to accept that the media will try and make wazza kill himself even after he retires
Poor bastard, but then again everyone who played for Fergie in his last season should have retired or went to another club after to save themselves the embarrassment of having to play for joke managers for a decade

>Saying this
>Post 2014
Just stop

>Galacticos
Pathetic

No-one thinks Bayern are on the same level as Real Madrid

>Euro 2016
Not much of an accomplishment desu

You sound butthurt Mr Emirates cup

>Pads stats against teams fighting relegation
>Literally the same story at every club he's ever been at
>How can X even compete

Stick to obesity collide, burger.

He has 7 goals in 11 games vs top half of the table

>the city of this thread

I apologize, Zlatan. You are elite

>di maria was the next beckham
already better than beckham by a distance, just did shit at united

Chelsea also beat Ronaldinho's Barcelona 6-3 in Mouyes first year

>Eats our food (McDonalds)
>Drinks our beer (Budweiser)
>Drinks our soda (Coca-Cola)
>Smokes out cigarettes (Marlboro)

Pls be bait

>>Literally the same story at every club he's ever been at

>Wins the league every single year
>Literally the same story at every club he's been at
He left Juve in 05(?) didn't win the league for 7 years
He left Inter in 2009, then they memed their way to treble, and have done fuck all since
Leaves Milan in 2012, and they're a shell of their old self
leaves PSG, they went from winning the league by 30+ pts to 2nd
if he wasn't at Utd, they'd be 10th place right now

We get bundesliga in english on fox sports

Why would any American waste his time learning a dead language like German? Knowing German is just as useless as knowing Klingon.

Pretty sure the so called "King of Beers" isin't even american anymore Burgerboy.

>26 goals by February
>all these seething ABUs crying

I'm gonna take the bait just for fun.

>mcdonalds
Literally only kids go to mcD's as an ocassional "" treat ""
>marlboro
cigs are for plebs and women
>budweiser
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>coca-cola
Okay you win this one

>the world is already ours that's why we are fat
Top fucking kek. You are fat because you literally cannot resist anything that looks remotely fatty and have an uncontrolable urge to shove it down your throat. Such is American """"""culture"""""". Kings of the world my ass, when will you realize the world is just taking advantage of you. American delusion never ceases to make me laugh.

>The world speaks our language.
>American

That's a good run. Unfortunately, overall not good enough to surpass Nottingham Forest's glorious early 80's run.

>Some people think football started in 2011 and that Bayern, Madrid and Barcelona were always ahead of the others

That would be a pretty accurate football summary of the last 25 years, since late 80s-early 90s when AC Milan was ahead of everyone else.

>Drinks our beer (Budweiser)

NO! Based German Weissbier.

Its partially the schooling systems. I grew up in south florida where 70% of the public can speak spanish. In primary school spanish was a mandatory subject. Most other cities do not force children into learning a second language unless you are going to a private school.

It is pretty shocking to see say Italian-Americans in NYC basically dropping the ball and forgetting to teach there children Italian.

>forgetting
Kek. They live in America now. Why learn Italian?

Hes having a laff but sadly if you dont live in one of the big US cities (NYC, LA, CHI, MIA) your life does consist of eating a big mac and washing it down with a coke while your mum chains smokes and your dad pounds back a 6 pack after his shift at the mill.

Mostly because everyone here is so quick to point out there heritage as a means to give themselves a form of identity/personality yet often cant speak said languages. See LA and all these mexi-ameri "gang members".

Besides learning a second language is an invaluable tool.

>and has never played this well in the past
Hmm wonder why people would be saying that.

This is ALREADY his third best season ever when playing in a real league.
