it is what it is

I like the music a lot.

Still trying to figure out if Douglas P is a Nazi or just LARPing as one.

I need to go through the Discography more, I've only really listened to The Guilty Have no Pride, Burial, and parts of the Wall of Sacrifice.

Literally Hitler.

nu-male repellent

the nu-male of neo-folk

everytime I see this pic I mistook the statue's hat with some kind of baseball backwards cap

nazi larper just for the sake to be edgy and shocking

I only listened to this album. Breddi gud

It's not that hard to find out, just read a bit of academic literature on the topic and some of the texts referenced in those texts as well as some interviews of his and all will be perfectly clear.

But he literally invented the genre...

lol, you have no idea. Of all the accusations leveled against him this is by far the stupidest one.

Check out Lesson 1: Misanthropy then, it features all the songs from The Guilty Have No Pride in superior versions (the same applies to 93 Dead Sunwheels and Nada!). If you want some more recs, Death In June or general neofolk, ask me here in the central neofolk thread.

Is that a Protomartyr album?

so he is a nazi then? that was easy

Are these the guys Dead Kennedys called Nazi punks

No. That is incorrect.

please elaborate

I like the fact that weaklings, cucks and nu-males refuse to listen to him because they think he's a nazi
Makes the fanbase less cancerous.

Musically I like them. I think Douglas P. is essentially the Nazi equivalant of a tankie when he starts talking about Strasserism etc but I'm pretty convinced it's all just an act really.
The music is good, what more is there to say really

I've read in an interview he likes nazi symbols like the SS's unifroms, the totenkopf, swastikas and black sun but he rejects their ideology

It's really a bit too complex for a short post like this, just do what I said above. The best place to start is reading "Death in June and the Apoliteic Specter of Neofolk in Germany" by Mirko M. Hall. It's only ~20 pages and gives you a good overview of the academic discourse on neofolk and Death In June. Anton Shekhovtsov's "Apoliteic Music: Neo-Folk, Martial Industrial and 'metapolitical fascism'" is also a very good text, although to be taken with a grain of salt as the author is a stout anti-fascist panicking at the slightest hint of philosophies associated with fascism informing an artist's oeuvre. Actually reading a bit of Jünger, Evola and other conservative revolutionaries is also very helpful. What you will discover, in short, is that Death In June represents a form of modern traditionalism that is highly individualistic insofar as in the spirit of Apoliteia/Waldgang the individual creates a personal art religion, mostly influenced by European pagan and left-hand path occultism, where politics, religion and personal life melt together into a unique personal Weltanschauung dedicated to what the individual perceives as natural/eternal values. This is basically what all of neofolk is about, even the more political musicians like Luftwaffe or Von Thronstahl still do this. Trying to figure out if the artist is a right-winger then or not is a silly question insofar as these complex personal art religions defy the general consensus of what is 'politics' and necessarily can only be grasped in their complexity. In Death In June's case homosexuality, environmentalism, European paganism, anti-capitalism and Darwinism are obviously very central to his Weltanschauung and the best way to further understand this Weltanschauung is to read his interviews, acquaint yourself with the authors and philosophies that inform this individualist traditionalism and, most importantly, listen to his music.

it's all part of the aesthetic

>part of an artist's aesthetic is part of the artist's aesthetic
brilliant post

see

>Nazi homos? I hate nazi homos.
Loved the first three albums and Crisis before. After Nada! all went downhill and just a few songs are really good. Every album sounds the same.
Apart from their ambiguous nazi/fascist/brown shirts rethoric and being gay at the same time. Contorted.

tedious cryptonazi shit for dumb long winded nerds, anyone who likes it should probably kill themselves

Good Infos here. Hope is not muddled...

Those aren't good infos at all, just the same old trite nonsense that claims "DI6 make a lot of aesthetic references to National socialism and have made statements that could be interpreted as agreeing with fascist ideology therefore they are neo-nazis." If you actually want good infos, you should read this:
berghahnjournals.com/view/journals/gps/35/2/gps350205.xml
muse.jhu.edu/article/232559/pdf
researchgate.net/publication/263407925_Apoliteic_music_Neo-Folk_Martial_Industrial_and_'metapolitical_fascism'

All of these are available at libgen.io but I'm sure everyone knows that.

>antifa
>good info
>from literal terrorists

Get that stupid shit out of here.

>just the same old trite nonsense
If you bothered to read them all you wouldn't be saying so. You probably stopped at the first paragraph. Scroll down and you'll read what kind of stuff Pierce really says about politics and England most of all.

>Terrorists
You're funny

> it's not terrorism when we do it

I want antifa apologists to leave

stupidity. the dude from DiJ played in an ANARCHO-punk band called Crisis and did a song bashing holocaust deniers, you stupid virtue signaling tools. stay the fuck away from the things i love

I love Crisis. Kill kill kill and afraid are among the tracks that i find myself singing without even noticing. And I love the beginning of DiJ i wrote this before
What am I stating is that Pierce has a pretty fucked up point of view. And his "art", about cryptonazi stuff and the night of the long knives bores me. That's it. That's why I think that his works after Nada! are pretty mediocre.

I don't know what you are referring to.

It's aesthetic but also reflects his legitimate esoteric interests. Runes are not racist.

one of my fave bands desu.

...

I like you but dude, don't waste your effort. The guy you responded to is probably 15 years old.

Except I have read it, numnut. Multiple times. Weeks ago. And many articles like it. But not only that, I have also read all the academic articles on the topic as well as some of the most important texts that inform the academic discourse on neofolk and the European New Right so you can believe me when I say that I am way better informed than you and that the links I gave you are the closest thing to "good infos" you can get in

If he's not a nazi, he's perfectly happy associating with them. Just as bad.

That's interesting. Which nazis does he associate with?
Hard mode: Don't say Boyd Rice Michael Moynihan or Ian Read.

>Just as bad

So we're not allowed to have friends with different political beliefs anymore?

The way I see it, that page has some stuff he said for real. And I didn't like it. That's why I consider it good info.

Who cares if he's a nazi jesus christ stop being so retarded

Okay, I still think you should at least read his interviews directly because the way these quotes are re-contextualised can be misleading - like the section about those breedin who shouldn't breed, which is inexplicably quoted as evidence of racism when it clearly showcases only his darwinism and disareement with the welfare state. Same goes for the next quote which is not correctly embedded in the context of pagan cyclic/apocalyptic philosophy from which it stems. I could probably find more but I think this is enouh to prove that if you want serious information on a controversial topic you should either read the source material and form your own opinion or read academic texts on the topic. Obviously one should do both because neither scientists not oneself are infallible.

>caring about things that don't matter: the thread
Who the fuck cares is he's a nazi? Seriously? Unless you're a nu-male that can't stand a second without having to virtue signaling, there is no actual reason to care. Just like finding out your favorite artist is a commie. Yawn, both dead ideologies that won't get anywhere for fundamental reasons any person with half a brain can tell why. Just let him be a fucking Nazi if he wants, if he makes good music them just listen to it and separate the artist from the art. It's not hard at all.

every neofolk thread gets derailed by fucking sjw, fuck this board!

To be honest, I'm the guy who makes all the neofolk threads and most of them just die from lack of participation. Want to contribute?

This.
