Love or hate it, it is the most talked about league and gets all the butthurt spanish, argies, brazilians and germans in a rage.
>the most amount of teams with a chance to win >anyone can beat anyone >more than one team has the financial monopoly over the league >overall better exciting football >higher attendances
>catalonia cucks will say best players play at barca in la liga
it's because they don't have to pay any taxes
Charles Lee
Chelsea wins lol
Thomas Nelson
They've won what 3 prem titles since 1992?
Austin Morales
>serie a >0-0 lol >no one turns up >buy the league >buy the ref >85m higuian
Thomas Davis
>lets a relegation team win it all last year >perennial chokers in the CL They're a slightly better MLS at this point. They've fallen off so hard in recent years

juventus would&will stomp on anything that comes out of eplel

your 2nd team got btfo by liverpool in the europa league m8... lelverpool are a laughing stock.
And your league is literally gonna be bayern wins for a decade.

Jaxon Baker
>germans not pedantically missing the point
Juve have a financial monopoly du wichser.
Brandon Collins
and they would do it with their bench team
it's always funny to read britbongs on the topic of football, it's similar to when americans discuss it
Tyler Wilson
Seething!
Go defend your "pure" league where one team financially dominates every other by orders of magnitude, receives unfair gov. assistance, has overtly corrupt chairmen somewhere else.
You are hypocritical to the point of me questioning your sincerity.
Samuel Ross
I think it is language barrier
It's always funny when a hard-working German citizen reacts to bait with their hilarious german humour.
Dominic Taylor
but desu the bundesliga is a beautiful league.
>car company and energy drink themed teams >second teams in the lower leagues >corrupt buyern officials
Josiah Thompson
>implying the CL isn't the only league that matters
Asher Carter
>He says while defending a league that is literally the SPL if it was rich
Charles Foster
>more than one team has the financial monopoly over the league >overall better exciting football >higher attendances correct >the most amount of teams with a chance to win >anyone can beat anyone also correct but how does this makes a league "better"?
Adam Cook
Absolutely right. No contest OP. EPL is in a it's own tier. Just imagine if you had a national team that lived up to your league. Wouldn't that be great?
Dominic Kelly
Tbh your right
Ryder Flores
You're absolutely right tbqh
Angel Hernandez
so literally everything but the standard of play? epic

CHELSEAWINSLOL

i guess car company and energy drink themes are still better than russian and arab oil money themed teams

John Cook
>Is there a better league in the world? no.
But i'd follow the shit of the french, spanish, belgian, italian or german league if i was from any of thosse countries..
John Davis
>more than one team has the financial monopoly over the league
English intelligence eberyone
Brayden Reyes
Other than the all seater stadiums and middle class fans from high ticket prices it's the best league easily.
John Sullivan
and the slapstick on the pitch but who cares ab out the actually team quality if you can have
>size >asian market
Evan Walker
Literally MLS
James Jackson
It's a shit league really, the WNBA isn't better than the NBA because of it's poor quality and randomness 2005 and 2012 were absolute fortune for example, I loved seeing Bayern lose but the the truth is Bayern domintaned as did Milan, English clubs in Europe are a joke
Jason Phillips
From mid to late 2000's, the English league had the best teams in Europe. It was basically, Milan, Barcelona and the 3 English teams.
You probably think football started in 2010 and that Bayern, Real and Barcelona were always the 3 strongest teams, but that was not always the case.
Dominic Williams
You have to go back Sky Sports Salesman, the quality is generally shit when's theres not much difference between the bottom teams in the PL and non league Sutton United.
>Government of China (13%) >Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan (87%) >Guochuan Lai >The Srivaddhanaprabha Family >The Allam Family >Farhad Moshiri (49.9%) >Roman Abramovich >Maxim Demin (75%) >Alisher Usmanov (30.04%)

What's EPL got to do with OP?
>tfw play in the English Football League >tfw owned by an Englishman Feels good
Adrian Martinez
We're talking recent times not historically, otherwise serie a or the German league in the 70s would come into the picture, why not add real from the 50s while we're at it you monkey. Bet you're the kind of bloke who rates pelel
Adam Stewart
>2005 and 2012 were absolute fortune for example
You were saying that in 2005 and 2012 English teams were already weak.
Owen Harris
>more than one team has the financial monopoly over the league
You are as dumb as your Brexit """""strategy"""""
Hunter Cruz
>the most amount of teams with a chance to win
League Winners over the last 20 years;
Irish league: 9 clubs English league: 5 clubs
Ireland 1 England 0
>anyone can beat anyone
Not as much as in the Irish League
Ireland 2 England 0
>more than one team has financial monopoly over the league
We can rephrase this as "more than one american, russian and arab have the monopoly on the league and clubs", whereas Irish league and clubs are 100% Irish sovereign property
Ireland 3 England 0
>overall better exciting football
According to the opinion of chinks, amerifats, singaporeans, borneans, zambians, ceylanese and other football illiterate people, whereas Irish League is superior according to the opinion of football expert palate of Europeans and Latinamericans.
Ireland 4 England 0
>higher attendances
Only because english stadiums are bigger than Irish ones. The superior quality of the Irish aficionado compensates for that.
Ireland 5 England 0
-Extra bonuses:
>basedness
Irish clubs do not compete internationally because they are true blue Irish nationalists that do not believe in communism. English do, and get regularly btfo and humilliated every year.
Ireland 6 England 0
>Noble spirit
Irish clubs have renounced willingly renounced world domination in order to have to have small but 100% national irish finances over the league and clubs. English league and clubs are dominated by big foreign moneys, but doesn't spare them from being embarrassed, dominated, humilliated and absolutely BTFO in the pitch by a legion of foreign clubs with 10-20 times LESS budget. Year after year after year after year.
Final score: Ireland 7 England 0
Parker Long
England has Manchester, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Germany has Bayern. Spain has Madrid and Barcelona. Atletico and Sevilla are Tottenham tier in terms of money. Italy has Juventus
Grayson King
>Triggered

>Irish clubs do not compete internationally >he didn't watch Dudalk

You know what monoploly means, right?
Aiden Rivera
You know he was not being literal, right?
Christopher Morales
Can't see how people slate it.
Jurgen Flopp Poop Guadiola
They can't even manage premier teams. They aren't ready for the premier league
Jordan Sullivan
You seem to confuse means and end.
Over the last 20 years, 5 english clubs have manage to win the league; city, united, chelsea, arsenal, leicester. Exactly the same number of spanish teams; Madrid, barcelona, atleti, valencia, deportivo.
What does that say about le financial parity and its correlation to actual results?
And we're talking Madrid Barcelona here, the 2 biggest clubs in the world...
Spain 1 England 0
Ayden Thomas
More competition and parity between the teams
Mason Gutierrez
Real Madrid was not that amazing before the Galactico era and after that era weakened, they only got really good when Mourinho came. Before that, they were Arsenal tier. Barcelona was also not that great before Ronaldinho Gaucho's generation and then Messi.
In the last 10 years only once a team that was not Real Madrid or Barcelona won the Spanish league. In the last 4 years, every year a different team won the EPL.
Liam Peterson
>>the most amount of teams with a chance to win MLS. >>anyone can beat anyone Obvious lie unless you're talking about the MLS. >>more than one team has the financial monopoly It's usually two, and for EPL it's four. MLS on the other hand is devoid of such issues. >>over better exciting football Actually, it's only the first three things you have over other euro cups. The parity comes at expense of actually good football. Also since 2000 5 different teams had won championships in the EPL while 7 different teams had done it for Ligue 1, the major league considered to have the least parity. >>higher attendance Ad populum.
Matthew Watson
>7 different teams My bad, 8 different teams.
Julian Williams
>EPL See
James Reyes
>Real Madrid was not that amazing before the Galactico era
they won 2 CL's in 3 seasons before Perez came...
Nathan Lopez
Real Madrid was the best in late 90s early 00's, won 2 CL just before the Galactico era, 1 at the beggining of that era in '02, and turned into an absolute disgraceful piece of shit right after that when Beckham came and Figo, Zidane, and Fat Ronaldo became old people and all the football illiterates around the world were being spoonfed 'muh Galacticos stronk and amazing, tbqh!" by the media, to the point that Florentino was forced by the socios to fuck off in 2006 or 07.
Still that's 2 CL in 2 years more than Arsenal have in their entire pathetic trophy-less history. Their tier is the one of Panathinaikos, Hamburg, IFK Goteborg and the likes.
Barcelona was plagued by dutch players and Van Gaals philosophy during late 90s and early 00, until they got rid of both and started building a team around a number of players (Etoo, Deco, Ronaldinho, Xavi, Messi, Iniesta, Puyol, etc). Rijkaard did a great job with that but Ronaldinho only had a couple of good seasons. Literally all of the other players mentioned (plus Poop later) were much more crucial to the success of Barca than Ronaldinho.
Adam Hill
i've secretly taken a liking to the epl, it's a great watch and i'm just sad i didn't discover it earlier
also >EL permacuck is about to knock current champion of the epl
really fires those sinaptic conexions
Carson Roberts
What's an epl?
Joseph Cook
Lel be quiet yer sheep shagger no one cares
Elijah Martin
Because you are a pleb. Go watch kids play football in the school, that's also quite pacey and entertaining.
As for Leicester being the EPL champions with that defence (which was supposed to be their strong point) and then watch Sevilla batter it like butter from all sides for the entire game... kek
Jayden Wright
>As for Leicester being the EPL champions But they aren't champions of an EPL
Jackson Perez
this, the irish league is GOAT
Lincoln Ross
>the most amount of teams with a chance to win >anyone can beat anyone >more than one team has the financial monopoly over the league That sounds like its a bunch of teams that are shit at spending their money, and the one who chokes the least wins, only to go, choke and lose at Europe.
>overall better exciting football Interesting, in what sense?
>higher attendances What does that have to do with anything?
Leo Bennett
english premier league
Dylan Jenkins
But it isn't called "English Premier League". It is just called "Premier League"
Asher Martin
how do you differenciate it from the maltese premier league? it's the english premier league
Kayden Fisher
By calling the Maltese league "Maltese Premier League" which is it's name. There is no "English" in the Premier League's name. Do you mean the EFL? That does have "English" in it's name
Do you say SLL and GBL as well?
Nolan Baker
it's a localization concept, people sometimes say spanish la liga too.
be considerate, i've got no way to know if we are talking about the iraqi, russian or nigerian premier league without that
Cooper Carter
>Do you say SLL and GBL as well? That is a very good point
Ian Moore
This
'no'
Lucas Nguyen
>USACMLS thinking he has a view
Ayden Parker
except for the fact that there is only one MLS but more than one PL
Nolan Parker
The maltese league is called just Premier League.
Matthew Anderson
>the most amount of teams with a chance to win
This year, like one
Hunter Young
So you should just call it by it's proper name of MLS? Just like the Premier League is just PL
Nolan Ramirez
Just to let you know you fucking spastic. The Irish league is the Northern Irish league and the League of Ireland is the Republics league.
Jacob Barnes
yes, isnt that what everyone alredy does
Adam Gomez
except there are more than one "premier leagues" byut ony one MLS
Juan Clark
Clearly not if people are saying EPL, acting like that is a proper name
Literally one football league called "Premier League"
Ryder Lewis
>literally first phrase of his link >"otherwise called english premier league" >scroll down >there are like 30 premier leagues around the world >hurrr why u call it epl
you are doing this on purpose arent you
Nolan Bell
First Phrase says "Premier League refers to the top football division in England" >there are like 30 premier leagues around the world None of them are called "Premier League" though
Jonathan Torres
Won't check them all to see, but yours is called the Barclays League though.
Brody Scott
>yours is called the Barclays League though. No, sponsorship deal ended last season. Hence the new logo and all that jazz
Robert King
but they are, kazak premier league is called premier league by kazaks, the ghanan premier league just has the name of a bank before it like you had barclays, like kenya, malta, etc
Ayden Long
Being the most talked about league is cool and all, but that still doesn't explain why English teams have such an appalling performance in the Champions League.
Noah Sullivan
because the prem league is much harder than the other euro leagues
bayern, madrids, barca and juve can just take it easy for half the season battering minnows without breaking a sweat It's like comparing racing 100m with a light warmup vs the english teams who have just run a marathon epl is a victim of it's own quality
Chase Parker
>best league in the world >as many CL finalists as Serie A in the last 5 years
