Is this the end for Arcade Fire?

Just wanted to express my outrage as a fan of their old work. I mean, ever since they decided to take up this "dance-rock" direction, they've been exceptionally horrendous. So I was just wondering, is there a way they can restore their legacy and become as good as they were on their first three albums (Funeral, Neon Bible, The Suburbs)?

No, it's the beginning of an actual good period for Arcade Fire.

The second half of Reflektor is the greatest thing they've ever done

Yeah Reflektor and parts of EN are great, BTFO OP go back to p4k

No one gives a fuck about you and their next album will better than the suburbs

They're just doing what U2 did in the 90s.

Die

>Go back to p4k
I honestly haven't seen anyone defend the album yet

They're probably too ignorant

Yeah it's sad I loved dog face's voice in funeral but it's just bad on EN and every song from title to the lyrics scream pretentious and out of touch

>Die
seriously get off this board

Why the fuck should I care who is defending the album. I Like it and think it's the bomb

>seriously get off this board
go back to Sup Forums

Im listening to their discography for the first time, listening to Reflektor right now. So far I'd say

The Suburbs > Reflektor > Funeral > Neon Bible

I don't get the hype of their earlier work

I literally do not know what that board is. I only go to Sup Forums

Hopefully the negative reaction to this will spur them onto a new era of creativity and inventiveness, or alternatively they'll sink trying to do the same thing

They lost their "big" sound, whats the point of a 12 person band that play only 2 or 3 instruments at once?

This is how you do proper '70s style dance-rock btw.

BTFO

their days have been numbered since they won that grammy

>music go music

my nigga. Literally just listened to that album yesterday for the first time in a while.

lol what is this wannabe carribean shit they're playing? Is this really what the goddamn arcade fire sound likenow? I haven't listened since the Suburbs (boring). This is hilarious

this record is indie's death rattle, rip

>most of the songs are classics
The new songs are better then the album versions but still much more subdued then their old songs. The violin is barely there.

They're the cutest band ever, it's a shame they're popularity peaked with Warm in the Shadows.

yeah it really is too bad, but at least they got that spot touring with Franz Ferdinand. Their other (main?) band, Bodies of Water, never seemed to get anywhere at all and IMO they make the better music under that name.

there's a new album out on the 25th and it's fantastic

Realize that I don't need this in my life and shut it off

How doesn't it feel to live with good opinions in life
