Why aren't people flocking in droves to nominate this guy?
Do people just enjoy voting against their own interests? Worst of all is that he's losing against a bought, corrupt witch with ton of scandals in her career.
Maybe his proposals aren't that well planned/realistic but at least his bringing something new to the table.
Because he would add 17 trillion dollars to US debt.
>FREE SHIT FOR EVERYONE!
Xavier Scott
Promises to act are not the same as results. Free college for instance is a disaster: it's going to lower the value of a college degree while lowering the standard of teaching to accept more people. If you want free college, go online and learn on books or MOOCs like Coursera.
Jeremiah Roberts
Small price to pay for the well being of the people in the country. The debt just keep rising regardless anyway.
Brayden Kelly
If i was a yankie, i would vote for him, because, in the end, we will all #feelthebern
Luis Johnson
>sandnigger >wants to elect a communist Jew who would destroy America
ha. so the value of a college degree is high? thanks switzerland. must be nice to able to talk shit about college when your tuition costs for international students is so low
Colton Morgan
Why should it be the governments job to take care of every citizen? Why can't people have more self-reliance?
Oliver Kelly
if you try to use logic they'll dig their heels in.
logic is their trigger.
Adrian Morgan
I know this is bait but I'm triggered anyway
REEEEEEEEE KEYNSIANS GET OUT
Hudson Phillips
The social justice warrior core of his base is exclusive and militant towards unapolegtic straight white males. This is why he will not win, nobody wants to get in the water with those SJW sharks
Dylan Lopez
okay mr rugged individual, go live in the woods.
oh by the way, you have to come up with your own blacksmithing forge to shape the heads of the axes and hammers you'll need.
oh by the way you need to go mine the metal ore by yourself too.
oh by the way you have to make your own camping gear from shit in the forest
you got a knife to cut things with? oh way that would mean metal ore wouldn't it?
Well, the "flaggots" are correct. You live in America and thus I assume you're affluent enough to move to whichever other place on the planet you want, since you hate it there so much.
Brody Rodriguez
Because he's a false shepherd. He's not just raising the taxes on the 1%, he's raising them for everyone. Not just a little either, a lot. Plus when people throw around words like socialism and revolution, and how that revolution is only the first step, people understandably get a little apprehensive.
Noah Allen
Why don't we just vote so that everyone has a mansion and a pool and a sports car, I mean come on
William Scott
He wants more population replacement. He will tax me to death, and I already can barely afford my apartment. He will force more money offshores, staggering the economy even more.
WTF is good about this guy other than he wants corruption gone? He will be busy centralizing more and more wealth and power to the federal government: fertile ground for the oligarch corruption he claims to disdain.
Juan Ward
Tax will raise yes but the benefits will outweigh the downsides. Notice how the happiest countries in the world have the highest taxes.
Jeremiah Russell
You don't need the government to provide you with any of those things, but people want the government to babysit everyone.
Nice copypasta though
Liam Collins
>Let's fuck over the next generation even more in favor of being comfy now >Don't worry, they were fucked anyway so it does not matter >Actually fixing the problem is too much work
>If you dont want to rely on the government that means you want to be away from all society >Other private citizens that you can interact and trade with don't exist without goverment
Thomas Sanders
>universal health care large cost to public spending and taxpayers >free college HUGE cost to taxpayers >muh energy system eh, it'll eventually happen no matter what >Overturn citizens united wat >raise minimum wage indiscriminately Australia suffers heavily for our minimum wage. that $15 AUD/hour means less and less every month, and we pay out the ass for everything. not to mention, our jobs are becoming increasingly automated and unemployment is rising. >end the war on drugs Come with large consequences to mental health and development of the masses >Rebuild infrastructure that's fine. >Raise taxes on the rich Not a bad policy, but take it too far and you're going to lose som of the corporate giants that made your country successful in the first place >stop militay spending a great way to disarm your country for future wars and put you behind china and russia. >expand social security more free gibs means instead of teaching a man to fish, you're teaching him to harass the fisherman >End police brutality fucking lol >Demilitarize police K. just pray you don't get a fullscale uprising.
Henry Davis
>but the benefits will outweigh the downsides Actually, they won't. I did the math for the average American tax bracket and assuming no raises and no tax increase/decrease, you'll spend more in taxes in your lifetime under Bernie than you will have spent on the average degree and healthcare as it stands now. It's not worth the monetary cost. It's actually better to maintain the shit status quo than to follow the false shepherd to the "promised land" of revolution and FREE SHIT.
Nathan Morris
I don't think college should be free. In fact, I actually think it should be more expensive so people only go to college if they actually need to.
Adrian Peterson
I do give credit to bernie supporters for at least being honestly curious as to why people feel bernie is such a bad idea. Hillary people don't even care.
But yeah OP, bernie has been BTFO in this thread, legitimately, several times over.
He's toxic.
Elijah Murphy
These countries also don't have the burden of having to pay research and development costs of healthcare. We do, hence our expenses are much higher. Once Trump gets the rest of the world to share the cost, come back and let's re-examine how happy those freeloading countries are.
Jeremiah Kelly
>universal health care Sounds good in theory but when you look at how the government does medicine (see the VA and Indian reservation hospitals) it looks less desirable than what we have now
>free college The value of the college degree is already that of a high school diploma, we don't need to spend more money to send a bunch of people to college for jobs that don't exist
>transform our energy system Somewhat ambiguous, if he means building more nuke plants then it's all good, if he means solar and wind then it's unfeasible as those energy sources cannot provide grid-level power. Also fossil fuels provide millions of jobs and some states like West Virginia are entirely dependent on fossil fuel production
>overturn citizens United I can get on board with this
>raise the minimum wage to $15 Again meaningless dribble that will only result in wage increases across the board, sounds good? Yes until you realize that cost of living will climb with it
>end the war on drugs Agree
>rebuild our crumbling infrastructure Okay with this
>raise taxes on the 1% He also wants to raise taxes on everyone else
>stop endless military spending I don't want more wars but at the same time our military provides for global security
>expand social security Expand an already unsustainable Ponzi scheme? No thanks
>end police brutality Don't see how a president can do this given the thousands of police departments across the country. It's also not really an issue when you take it into account against the millions of normal police interactions. There will always be bad apples and no amount of rhetoric will change that
>demilitarize the police Agreed, although the vast majority of the departments aren't militarized and the president doesn't have a day in what goes on with individual police departments
Jack Wright
I don't see it as being honestly curious. It seems more like a whiney cuck type of curious. Kinda like:
>why won't you vote for Bernie, uhhhhhggggggggggggg. >why don't you just understanduhhhhhhhhhh :^(
Like a bunch of whiney teenagers
Levi Nelson
>In fact, I actually think it should be more expensive so people only go to college if they actually need to. It shouldn't be more expensive, at least here in burgerland it's already massively overpriced, especially for the nonexistent value of a degree these days. What it needs is to be more selective so the only people allowed in are the ones who actually belong there and can get good use of it. This ridiculous shit where every single god damn person thinks they NEED to go to college just fucks the market up for everyone
Aaron Richardson
>crashing my nation's economy >being in my interests
Yeah, we might have different definitions of what my interests are.
Charles Turner
>expanding the welfare state is in my best interests only agreeable thing on the list is citizens united would be energy too, but democrats hate nuclear
Ayden Kelly
That's the problem thanks to endless financial aid the market is already way oversaturated with degree holders
We need to stop pedestalizing college and if we're gonna sink more money into education it needs to go towards trade schools because tradesmen are actually something we need and they can provide just as good a living as a degree can, better in many cases of you majored in something useless like psychology or political science
Angel Jenkins
I know, I was just memeing.
College is promoted as if it's an essential path in life since there aren't many other options. Although that isn't going to be solved with a useless degree.
Parker Foster
True, but many seem legitimately confounded. It at least implies they have a desire to think rationally, or have their views supported vs. an ideological challenge; as childish as they are. Hillary people don't even care. Just.. don't mind the corruption, or foundation of the country being obliterated. They don't even think it's good or bad -- the thoughts don't cross their minds. That's all.
Jacob Sullivan
>costs roughly the same as a new car >massively overpriced If you think a car is fairly priced and a degree is not, you need your head examined.
Xavier Torres
You can get a car for £100 or £100,000, they both function the same way.
Aaron Lee
>costs roughly the same as a new car for a single semester maybe
James Parker
Actually thanks for making my point. I graduated in STEM and what they call "education" is pretty terrible for 5 years. So if swiss college are this terrible, I don't understand why people still think it's a good way to spend taxpayers money.
Moreover, I'm not happy knowing that leftism academia is subsidized by this. Are you?
James Rivera
Note the word NEW. A used car will not function like a new car.
Average cost for a degree is 36k, about the cost of a Tesla 3, most people will spend significantly less than that given Pell Grants and Scholarships. Hell, I'm a senior at a state liberal arts college and my degree will cost a whopping 25k total, a.k.a. the cost of a brand new car. If you're spending 36k a semester, you are getting taken for a ride.
Austin Sanchez
Pic related.
Lucas Watson
Bernie's plan is fundamentally flawed. America is like a sinking ship and his plan is to build another mast.
Anthony Gutierrez
Obongo 2.0
He also promised a lot of shit to get the presidency, and naturally none of his promises came true.
Dominic Myers
If I was white in America, any kind of social justice like his pandering to BLM or equal pay for women would be a red flag.
