Does anyone else appreciate this show? Aside from being hilarious and having infinite rewatch potential, it's very red-pilled.
At its core, it's about showing that it's impossible to be a man in modern society. Is there anything more patriarchal in this day and age than a mob boss? Everyone else has to kiss someone's ass, but Tony gets to make his own rules. Everyone wants to be like Tony.
And yet, it all goes wrong for him. His sister embarrasses him and leeches off the government; his nephew is a pathetic junkie. His (masculine) wife falls in love with an immigrant... His kid is a weak, unmotivated fuck-up who doesn't respect him, but most importantly, his daughter loses her virginity to a kike-nigger. Literally 1/2 kike, 1/2 nigger. It couldn't be any more on-the-nose. It's a nightmare for Tony.
From the very start, he feels his grip on life starting to slip, so he develops mental issues. The fucking ducks flying away are symbolic of him losing control over his family.
If a fucking crime boss can't prevent his family from disintegrating in the 21st century, what can you do? What is there left to do?

His right wing views are always shown to be virtuous but the means by which he enforces these virtues are flawed and end up hurting his family rather than protecting them.
You could look at it instead from a point of view that the mobs represent conservatism and traditional values and the way they're portrayed as dying out due to being outdated is just Chase's view of modern politics, not necessarily an insult to right winders.

I disagree. Tony is a divisive character at many times but his core principles have mostly been protecting his friends and family.
The fallout with the other mob families, the constant betrayal and the conflicts between other members of his group and his own family are a staple of mafia stories.
I'd wager that this is the same reason some people here hold this view and I admit that the reason behind some of his ideals are derided for their irrationality. All of Melfi's scenes served to deconstruct his personal views. Again not necessarily insulting to the principle but rather condemning it in this particular context.
