Nothing he said is wrong. When humans became "human" and not some precursor we were living in Africa/the Middle East with tan or darker skin. When humans moved north they didn't need as much melanin so they stopped producing it hence white skin/light hair

That's not how it would work.
Ofc a white person would become darker in the short term, but they will not become a black person.
But having white skin MIGHT be a disadvantage when it comes to cancer, heat, kidney stones etc in such an environment and it might lead to a selection against light skin.
But that's incredibly unlikely because humans overcome such stuff by building a shelter, by being smart about it etc.
If you put modern white people in Africa, they would literally never become black, even 1k years.
