>tfw can't find FLAC of this
Is C Wahine the best tuning for shoegaze? I've heard that maj7s are the best chords to play, how true is this?
Desire Lines is their best song, period.
still a jam
post yfw
>but user, i can't understand the vocals, they're too low
you can find it on jpopsuki. If you post your email and promise to read the rules, I could send you an invite.
>the only good song is Only Shallow
fucking secondaries I swear
Thanks, but I'll just wit for it to be upped on Red.
>i don't like it if i can't understand the lyrics
>you enjoy sigur ros, and that's just gibberish
>b-but that's different
We all know the best song is I Only Said.
I Only Said is super underrated. I think people don't like how it repeats for 2 minutes at the end but whatever. It's not nearly the most repetitious thing out there.
You misspelled Sometimes

What's y'alls favorite Japanese twee/jangle gaze. My dead girlfriend?
>What is Here Comes the Warm Jets
Not sure if they qualify as twee or jangle, but I love me some Kinoko Teikoku.
It's the only combination of shoegaze/post-rock that's good
most of the tracks on Loveless are repetitive.
Great choice but really nail it as well as both the above tracks imo
*doesnt really
most of shoegaze is repetitive
that shit's amazing thanks for posting
She Her Her Hers.
This is my jam
I think its spelled When You Sleep*

Dream Pop AOTY
Goddamn, this is good.
What about this
youtube.com
Closer to post-punk but its good.
Sorry for shilling this one again but its relevant - like Black Marble but Dream Pop
What is Ling Toshite Sigure
What is Mass of the Fermenting Dregs
Can I get it?
[email protected]
You should be able to find flac of this on soulseek
anyone got recs for something similar to this?
No need to apologize my man, that album deserves shilling.
youtube.com
what kind of madman does this
Ooh cheky
7 chords have a nice jazz sound and sound very good for the style imo.
I think sustained chords with a good vibrato technique can get a cool mbv kinda sound. With the proper effects in place of course.
>"Wahine" refers to the female of our species. Because Wahine tunings contain a major 7th note, they were perceived by the founding fathers of our art to have a personality or "sound type" that was more complicated than the normal Major (Male or Kāne) tunings. There is respect here, an unspoken intuition that women may be more complex creatures than men.
what the fuck is going on with this SJW shit?
but Loomer is the best
a desperate one
You're all wrong, it's actually Soon
do yourself a favor and listen to yume bitsu
bumpino
Discord when
Soon is how I found MBV, by it randomly appearing on a Pandora station when I was 15. No idea why Soon was playing on a 90s Alternative station, but thank god it was or i'd have listened to nothing but nirvana and soundgarden for the entirety of sophomore year
>No idea why Soon was playing on a 90s Alternative station
not all that unusual, its niche now but shoegaze was a bit thing for a while in the early 90s
now!
New Frankie Rose is pretty fucking great.
this is a very nice album, discovered it a couple fo threads ago and I''m in love with it
anything similar?
...
the closest is depreciation guild, similar level of fuzz, chiptune electronics and extremely similar vocals to the linked track
already knew of them, but thanks
this is nice
not really gazey, proto-dream pop for sure but yeah
Just listened to it, pretty good.
been listening to this album a lot lately
really good stuff
well actually it is What You Want
no its To Here Knows When and Blown A Wish
can you guys recommend me some sweet, mellow and sad dreampopish shugazi? you know, that stuff you want to listen sitting in your room at fridays night, when its still warm outside but leaves are slowly turning gold. i cant find anything that'll amaze me. it might be depression though. i cant masturbate. also im a girl. post shugazi for a girl
a moth just sat on my shoulder its so cute
...
thank you friends, but i already know these and i love these
The shoegaze bit is a bit of a reach but I've always loved the Kitsune EP by Marriages
...
why are shugazi EPs so based?
all the Cocteau EPs are GOAT
youtube.com
easily in their top 10 songs
I think it's because the shorter run times of EPs give a more concise idea of what the artists want to get across without overstaying their welcome or wearing thin
This. Plus, it's relation with punk and post-punk make short songs and albums best for shoegaze.
youtube.com
is this shugazi?
I enjoy this.
LSD and the Search for God is god tier shugazi EP
...
there needs to be names on this list
zoom in and read the text or crop the cover out and image search it
