what if sociopathy and autism are the next evolutionary step for mankind? as our wold becomes more governed by machines, our property becomes more virtual, our requirements to socially interact become optional, and our jobs focus more on bureaucratic policies and less on interpersonal communications it seems these are the people most cut out to be successful. they understand the acquiescence of wealth, the rewards of success, and the frivolity of traditions or moral obligations.

maybe this is the next big step. maybe its time for the romantic period of invention and discovery to tape a back foot to commerce and optimization.

imagine a future where everybody is content with their place. the detail focused autistics willingly putting themselves in command of the big picture sociopaths, loyal only until another stronger leader takes control.

Evolution does not happen that fast. Sociopathy and autism are not adaptations, but our inability to deal with the information age.

Psychopathy is not an advantage or a good thing. Statistically, people with autism and psychopathy are far less intelligent than average. Same with serial killers. It's a myth that they are intelligent.

>maybe this is the next big step. maybe its time for the romantic period of invention and discovery to tape a back foot to commerce and optimization.

Utilitarians just want a world where they can be autistic and not have to deal with their social and emotional shortcomings. No thanks. I like not being a robot.

well, like it or not, the world IS getting more utilitarian. look at whats happening to art and music. its only successful if its advertising something. divorces are sky high, most people dont even get married anymore. work is more important and interesting than family. most people dont even watch tv shows all the way through anymore. we interact more with machines than people on a daily basis.

Saying "like it or not" is not an argument for or against a philosophy.

try to literally imagine this world.
No one would get laid or have functioning lives even

maybe in the past but not anymore. most surgeons, lawyers, politicians and successful businessmen are sociopaths.

Most likely false, but there isn't data to back up this claim anyway. Maybe you're just fat and you hate doctors because they comment on your weight, so you just call them sociopaths much like SJWs call everybody racist.

Also don't compare politicians to doctors as if politician goes in the smart category. Laughable.

not necessarily. rape would become socially acceptable as long as the target doesn't discuss it. reality would function differently. it wouldn't be focused so much on satisfying fleeting personal wants but accomplishing large goals, or helping charismatic people accomplish large goals.

im not saying socopathy is a bad thing. in fact im saying the opposite. people with sociopathy are single minded, goal oriented, skilled at manipulating situations for success or refusing failure in ways most ordinary people struggle with.

That's not even a slightly accurate description of psychopathy.

maybe our definition of it doesn't fit the model anymore.

You know they probably have the DSM-V at your local library so you can catch up on some things.

ive read it. i think most of it is accurate but some things stand out to me as incorrect

>I think most of it is accurate

Humanity doesn't get to find out. Within a couple decades, gene therapies will be able to be "printed" on a desktop level. Any group of a dozen grad students in any country will be able to engineer a genetic modification for dispersion.

The race will be on to pacify the human race before someone else wipes it out.

Humans will be turned into endorphin-buzzing lovedrunk hippies, or they'll be eradicated. If we're lucky, we figure out how to build the culture of robots to produce the food needed to survive as blissed out morons. If we're not lucky, we starve to death because no one is aggressive enough to be bothered to raise food and harvest it.

The age of the savage ape-like primitive human and its pyramidal hierarchies of tribal power & resource consolidation are as good as over, one way or another.

Oh, sure, maybe it won't happen. Maybe out of 9.5 billion people by then, no military will do it, no lab will do it, no hacker group will do it, NO group of a dozen grad students anywhere in the world, from any culture, with any motivations, will do it. Ever. lol

If I can flip a switch right now and end all war, end all selfishness, end all human conflict, and make everyones lives be a high where all they feel is love for one another, I'm seriously thinking about it. ...but yeah, if that switch is available to everyone in the world, it's getting flipped.
