I think i listened to consumer revolt because of you so thx

back home, I should get back on my music game stat

how's new bran flakes then
is it FUN

good shit

yeah, it's fun
I feel like it's not as 'cohesive' as I don't have a friend
but it's p good

I dunno how much I value cohesion in my sample fuckery
on one hand I like it when it gets wild, but having some overarching atmosphere or feeling does go a long way in making it memorable...

i had to do month because i have hardly been using last fm at all
that gasp album is so cool
have you listened to white suns or trumans water
>anthony braxton and derek bailey
that must sound unholy but i really like most of what you have here
have you listened to double leopards or idea fire company? or Michael Morley's American Primitive album?
the space lady- the space lady's greatest hits
you would probably like amps for christ too
have you listened to bobby brown (not the black man)

contort urself

I actually love the Louvins album honestly lol

The lyrics are totally ridiculous but the songs are catchy with great harmonies

are you familiar with mort garson's zodiac-themed spoken word albums
he had the album 'zodiac: cosmic sounds' which is very good electric psych rock but he also made 12 albums about each of the zodiac signs which are all new age bs being said over 60's synth music
i rec it, kinda
>sorry, don't know enough to rec but this chart looks cool
thats ok that's ok listen

if you like mother falcon try morgan feldman

if you like-

oh wait

no collage hahahahahahahahahaha

niggus this' me

>that must sound unholy
i was actually expecting it to be slightly more active, but it's actually kind of lowkey and even melodic at times
>have you listened to double leopards or idea fire company?
no but i will
>Michael Morley's American Primitive album
i liked gate's the dew line a lot, this should be good

>Mark Shreeve
digging it, thanks. reminds me a lot of my old roommate who loved Tangerine Dream

shreeve is one of my favorite artists and I recommend his bands 'redshift' and 'arc' all the time to everyone

:o

:(

Ive fallen out of andrew jackson jihad but still apprciate knife man, i ought to give elliot smith another shot

do you like to read fiction?
have you tried swans yet? from the looks of your chart you're going through a lot of common Sup Forums recs and if you haven't heard them i think you might really like their sound in like great annihilator/sftb/seer...if you're already familiar with all this I apologize for being condescending
"INFJ"

I've listened the first half of Soundtrack for the Blind and loved it. I need to get to them more

>do you like to read fiction?

other than a couple of lewd fanfics here and there, not really.

LETS DO THIS

let's do what, lazypost? ;)
nice emoscreamo, except i don't care for Tiny Moving Parts too much
Touche Amore's Is Survived By is underrated, and Algernon was the best band in the world

If I may rec things
CSTVT - The Echo & The Light
Suis la lune - Riala

Honestly I can't help it but to "lazypost" sometimes, I hardly know anything that's usually posted.

Nice Peal Brothers though, I've only listened to Blue Kingdom. Have you listened to Halmens, 8 1/2 or Shonen Homeruns? Kenzo Saeki is part of all of them. He also collaborated with Jun Togawa a bit (she debuted with Halmens).

yeah nah i feel ya, if that's the case i usually just say i don't know any albums to get assholes like me off my back

and oh dang I only know them for the NHK soundtrack, maybe i ought to explore their other stuff too. i didn't care for the rock songs much on the ost, but the more OST-esque songs were great

Turns out he wasn't part of 8 1/2, but its pretty much proto-halmens.

Like I said, I haven't listened to the NHK soundtrack, but if you say you don't like rock stuff, I don't know what you'll think about what I recommended actually.

i definitely like rock generally but their stuff on the soundtrack seems kind of "edgy"

that might just be a thing they did for the show (it's a relatively dark show) so i'll listen to a few tracks and see, thanks!

I always liked their song "Zoo Zoo Zoo".

1988 woah i didn't know they were around for so long

this is fun for sure!

>i liked gate's the dew line a lot
it's not like that at all really, it is 100% acoustic and he does technical fingerstyle stuff instead of repeating the same riff into oblivion
there's still lots of space and hints of the feedback jams of yore but it is a lot more understated than the gate stuff

Nothing at all. Had a little time on this week to spend it on music

+sunn, batushka, DsO
bong - stoner rock
dark buddha rising - dakhmandal

oh yeah I forgot that if you post shit that isn't mu core you get made fun of hahahaha

my chart is honest as fuck unlike everyone else on here just choosing obscure stuff for appearances sake

>just choosing obscure stuff
you do realize these charts are generated using last.fm listening data so they display only what people actually listen to

i'm you're not implying that people can't genuinely like even slightly obscure or weird music, are you?

you are just twisting the knife right now
if you have such a thin skin maybe you just should go back

nah I definitely think people can genuinely like obscure stuff but I think on mu people amplify and over exaggerate how much they're into it so they can seem cool is all I'm saying

I'm fine being here lmaoo and I'm not actually offended just kind of annoyed by the culture of mu

nah actually I don't use last fm but when i made mine I just went off my recently added/played stuff on apple music. I get it might not be the right thread to post this in for sure but there wasn't another chart thread

there is one actually
also if you want to expand your taste you should get a last.fm / rym profile, start rating / scrobbling, and get some recs from there and here

thanks. I have rym but have tried to use last.fm in the past and have been really confused by the interface of it. maybe I'll look into it more

i know exactly what you mean

i know right, mu is a place that wants to make fun of hipsters, but is really just
>pic related

le bump

I've been meaning to listen to Klaus Nomi, which album would you recommend?

I haven't used last.fm in forever, but I'm starting to get back into it. I dislike my old username, should I deal with it or just make a new account and lose my old history?

well if you just post here no one is gonna know your username

but, starting fresh might be neat if you haven't scrobbled in a while though- you could always look back on your old account to see old scrobbles
