Portuguese people are so shitty that we improved their own language.
We're the only people keeping the language relevant.

Sorry, I don't have time for vira-latas.
>Our music, literature, food and everything is better.
See? Even our cuisine is more creative.
brazilian portuguese is like speaking portuguese with a pair of testicles in your mouth which could actually be close to reality considering that most of you are veados.
What? You got things confused. Portuguese people are the one who don't pronounce vowels and speak with a closed mouth.
but your entire country is shitty
And it still managed to be more relevant than Portushit. Crazy, isn't it?
Think about it. You only know about Portuguese because of us.
>food
>bragging about breeding like rabbits
I don't even care. That isn't Brazilian food.
I'm bragging about creating more relevant art than our fathers. That's all.
because you have 200 million people, and no. in fact most people here think you speak spanish
Denmark might have better HDI but you guys are boring as fuck. You're only known for the ugly duckling.
It's not like I care what "here" think what we speak.
I'm talking about those who know about Portuguese.
This was an attack at Portugal. Why are these other Europeans defending Portugal?
this entire thread is about your language so what's the point of you don't care if people know you speak the language? also why are you being so rude? there's 2 brazilian student in my class and they're really nice
I was bored and wanted to throw some bantz at the Portuguese. I'm a nice guy I swear.

This is now a Portuguese cultural thread.
OP here, I was just being a faggot and trying to have some fun but when you posted Carlos Seixas(I knew about him before) you got my heart. Post more good Portuguese music. I know very little about it. I honestly think Brazil and Portugal should unite more.
youtube.com
Indeed we should, it's a pity you Brazilians don't know nothing about Portugal. But hey, even Portuguese don't know about their own country these days..
>all these people defending us
h-hazukashii...

Good stuff. Hey this thread wasn't a bad idea after all kek
Lmao I just realized I already knew about him. I have the album "Uma guitarra portuguesa" here.
I love Poortugal, in fact I was always a bit of a mediteraneaboo and people who eat fucking boiled macacs have no place shitting on anyone
We don't eat monkey soup. That guy is some anomaly and we also come directly from Portuguese people. Almost every Brazilian has Portuguese DNA.
>more relevant art
like what
Also Russia is a corrupt shithole with people who behave like some nihilistic fucks. You people only seem capable of achieving something because dictators take complete hold and sacrifice everyone in the name of something. If Brazil behaved like that we would be the same just like when we had a dictatorship and grew fast economically. But I like you people.
Obrigado user, I love this song.
First, let's make clear that because you don't know about it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist, ok?
Let's go:
Music: I'd need 100 posts to post everything we have to offer when it comes to music:
Bossa nova
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
Literature:
Our fathers have Eça de Queiros, Camões, Pessoa and Saramago
We have Machado de Assis, Guimarães Rosa, Jorge Amado, Clarice Lispector, Euclides da Cunha(influenced Llosa to write a book), Graciliano Ramos, Augusto dos Anjos, Lima Barreto and many more
About the first two by Gringos:
>erican literary critic Harold Bloom's list of the greatest 100 geniuses of literature, alongside writers such as Dante, Shakespeare and Cervantes.
Guimaraes ROsa:
>It is often considered to be the Brazilian equivalent of James Joyce's Ulysses.[1][2][3] In a 2002 poll by the Bokklubben World Library, >"Grande Sertão: Veredas" was named among the best 100 books of all time.[4]
Portuguese people watch our novelas and IIRC they also read our books and we don't consume anything from them. I don't think this is good. I think we should know about each other more.
Movies: Cidade de Deus and Elite squad
name one portuguese movie
Actors: Xerxes in 300, Pablo escobar in narco, alice braga in I am legend
Portuguese actor?
Glad you liked it m8.
I'm still waiting for the fifth empire :(
the portuguese were the first and the greatest nation of explorers please stop disrespecting them joão
Just to expand on music:
Classical music:
Heitor Villa-lobos
youtube.com
Villa also has many musical pieces that are performed to this day. He also composed a music for the great violinist Segovia IIRC
youtube.com
youtube.com
Yamandu Costa and Rabello:

>You only know about Portuguese because of us
Are you retarded?
s/violinist/guitarrist/
We don't read much your books afaik. Music, novelas and cinema for sure.
>Portuguese actor?
I think our most famous is Joaquim de Almeida.
UMA
>Heitor Villa-lobos
Yeah, pretty good.
>entire country
No.
>You're only known for the ugly duckling
the little mermaid is from them too
Joaquim de Almeida is that dude that was in Velozes e furiosos, right? I know him. I had forgotten about him
Yeah it's him.
Eça de Queiroz on jews (in Portuguese): citadino.blogspot.pt
And to complete a song by a portuguese band lmao: youtube.com
Brazil has 5th most resources in world and is poorer than Portugal makes you think
The only colony allowed to brag about shit, according to my autism, is the USA. And Australia. Because they stronk.
Portugal has been infected by moorish tribe, Spain will reconquer Brazil.
Spain 3x+ as rich as Uma sopa de macaco, in regards to median wealth as much as 60x

Brasilians are horrible people as well. It's not a feat to improve shit into a bit different shit.
Portugal is a tiny country, Brazil is huge. We'll have more artists because of sheer large population dynamics. This thread is stupid.
Nice
I knew he was a fucking madman but didn't know about this.

Spanish pop 40 million pop 3 million scientist papers Brazil 200 million pop 1 million.
Multiply Spain by 5 and you get 15 million papers to uma sopas 1m
Nice
Sadly, the Brazilian mindset is still quite primitive. Any student that starts showing more intellect than the others in his class will be hostilized and called stuff like 'cu de ferro' (iron asshole - meaning they never leave their chair, always studying).
Brazilians care much more for celebrities like singers, actors and sportsmen.
The further away from Spanish the better. This is a fact.
Keep up, Brazil, you're following behind.
>Portuguese people watch our novelas
That was only during the 90's.
We had Manoel de Oliveira, who was a great director, and a couple of actors in shows going around like Daniela Ruah and Pepê Rapazote but none that relevant besides Joaquim De Almeida.
>Our fathers have Eça de Queiros, Camões, Pessoa and Saramago
We have way more than that, though. None of those you listed I knew besides Machado de Assis, and I'll also give you guys Padre António Vieira since he was only born here. We have a lot more writers than the ones you learn about. Also, Pessoa is like 10 in 1, to be fair. Then there's Gil Vicente, Almeida Garrett, Bocage and even D. Dinis himself. Portuguese as a language is very intertwined with its countries' literature and especially poetry.
You guys do have a lot more musical projection and complexity with bossa nova than us, though, that's for sure. Don't let Americans tell you that Jazz is it's main influence because bossa nova is as complex as Jazz in it's own right. It's also a lot more language-based, since Jazz lyrics are usually awful and uninteresting, despite the fun melodies and harmonies.
Cidade de Deus and Tropa de Elite were great.
Since we're talking about music as well, here's a Portuguese band singing in Brazilian Portuguese to mock the outsider's perspective of Fado, in a neat way that both acknowledges the Portuguese and the Brazilians.
