i have 2 here is the second
looks stressed
is kill
Lol what the fuck did you do. How long have you had this growing?
kek. my thoughts exactly
enjoy your .3g off of that, but seriously what was your regime? I legit threw seeds in a pot of soil and fertilized with tomato fertilizer and they are bushes
Lower leaves seem burned, too much fertilizer maybe?
started as seeds at the end of june
found a bunch of autoflowering seeds and decided to try out 2 with hardly any knowledge of growing. Been research for when i plant the other seeds so i can know what im doing.
ive been in the process of moving lately so theh havent been the center of my attention and now they are turning to shit
the lower leaves keep yellowing so ive been plucking them
this was just a fun experiment and im not taking it too seriously
i think my biggest mistake was treating them like normal cannabis only to find out a month after planted that they were autoflowering. as they started budding after only a few weeks
soooo basically help me the fuck out
or dont
lol
pic from a few weeks ago
You need to treat autos with kid gloves. No transplants, no topping, no stressful training, no heavy nutes. Lot of garbage breeders out there though, so who knows.
Sorry I can't really help you because Ive never used autos. But something is very wrong here.
Ok... those seeds... did you get them from another plant you have grown previously, or did you buy them?
Cant really do much, already flowering so energy that would go to growth, is going to bud. I'd just finish them off and try again with better knowledge. I dont have my Grow Bible with me but those leaves are telling you your nutrients are definitely off.
its flowering, looks stressed, to much nutes
don't autoflower when you don't know what you are doing. autoflowers demand a certain level of knowledge, if you fuck em up you end up having wasted time and money into nothing, like your case
also autoflowers don't like to repotted
they were transplanted onces and a dog knocked one of the pots over before
these guys havnt had the easiest life
what does topping mean exactly?
i got them from a few buds i had that were givin to me from a guy who grows his own
i was honestly just thinking about tossing them but deciding to go through just for the experience
didnt know they were autoflower at the beginning
nothing really was wasted just an experiment but im glad im able to learn how to properly take care of auto seeds after this diaster
so no nutes for autos is the jist im getting?
you cant do anything but let them continue to flower and give them as much light as possible. if you took them indoors and put them under more light they will likely be hermaphrodites. dont use that fucking mulch soil ever
>what does topping mean exactly?
Snipping off the top after a certain number of nodes to encourage more to grow.
>so no nutes for autos is the jist im getting?
1/4 to 1/2 strength. Plant them in their final pots next time. I use Root Riot cubes to start seeds.
OP jesus christ learn how to Youtube. So much easier if you do that. What is topping. Shit, i have never even attempted to grow this shit, and i grow tomatoes and shit like that.
Its not too much nutes.. if it was nutes your leaf tips would be burnt looking. If the leafs have been yellowing for a long time it needed more nitrogen. If thats just a recent thing its naturally what they do when they flower as they use some of the energy from the leafs. Dont pull them off at any time during the grow unless they are really shaded by higher leafs. I havent grown for years so I cant rember what the black spot is but there are plenty of sites online to work out what it is. Your soil looks shitt btw
well, it wont help you now, but if you fuck up your nutrients next time flush your soil with tons of water and set a baseline again. Always keep track of when/what you are doing and look for improvements/detriments. Spend the money on good soil (mycorrhizal soil or something similar).
Calmag bro. Use it.
fox farm?
You dont top autoflowers. The growth cycle is too short
Don't pluck leaves at all. The plant reabsorbs nutrients/minerals etc from the leaf. That's why it withers and browns. By plucking you are robbing the plant of those.
Cheap alternitive to calmag is epsom salts btw
I've heard good things, I live in Canada so I don't get that for a good price. I use this rona.ca
and basic tomato fertilizer
BUT it also tries to save the leaf, consuming nutrients. It really depends on the leaf and why its dying whether you ought to or not pluck.
You watered it in direct sunlight on a hot day didn't you?
Water it early in the morning before sunrise
I don't grow bud but I do know some stuff about plants. Why would you get a plant that 'auto flowers' when your goal is to harvest it? All of its energy is focused on its bud, not your bud. I wonder how that'd affect the taste? Your nutrients are probably fine, leaves die when plants go to flower. I'd recommend a more natural, self sustaining environment for it rather than isolate the pot in a pot. Learn a bit about soil science and find a plant that pairs well with weed. IE if weed excels in low nitrogen soils plant something with it that soaks up lots of nitrogen.
that is exactly what i did
but no water on actual plant just soil
This was them at week 4
Heh... mine's doing the same thing. Unknown origin of the seeds, so that could be it. Also, I left it in it's germination pot too long and it got crowded. That can do it. Also, it's late in the season and shorter light cycles can do it too.
got any pics?
here is my mongoloid from 30 seconds ago
That soil is absolute shit.
your soil is shit. also grasscity or something similar is a better place for questions like this.
Sure, I'll stop playing Destiny 2 for a sec... brb.
i know :(
when i bought the soil i was reading the bag and it had guano and all this other shit that sounded really good for the plant. but i didnt know much then, and i still dont, but im learning so when i try the next round they wont be nearly as fucked. but again, it was unknown that they were autos until they started flowering after a few weeks
surprise!
i guess the whole point of the thread was to help get some extra tips from people who have experienced this so i harvest more than one measly bud off this fucker haha
i will definitely check it out
A little potato quality, but here's mine. I transferred it to another pot in hopes it would revert to veg, but it didn't.
You can't reveg autos. They flower independent of light cycles and have a fixed lifespan.
op here if thats an auto i dont think you can reveg
lol ours babies are so fucked
where do you live
Yeah, I've never experienced autos before, so I have no clue.
And yeah, they're fucked, but oh well. I live in Oregon, USA, so I get primo weed from the store anyway. I just love to grow shit, no matter what it is.
i just moved here to oregon this week what part?
im in portland
>you can't reveg autos
truth. they are delicate but its nice not having to have a separate room for veg and flower cycles. i get good results using buffaloam loam grown for autos...that might be a colorado only product tho.
Salem. I moved here a little over a year ago from Atlanta where I was growing in my basement. SO much easier to do it that way.
except the startup costs for all the equipment seems a little much
you done fucked up, just grow that little bud now
looks like it has no available nutrients.
It wasn't too bad. I had a huge house on half an acre, and an even bigger basement, so I didn't have to worry about smell. So I just bought a wall socket timer, a few HPSes, a few MHs (both security lights), and bam. Total startup cost per light pair was $140.
not too bad i always thought itd take a pretty big dent out of my wallet
but i dont have room to do that myself so backyard it is
Not enough light.
here are mine one of em
It appears to be root rot, or cal-mag deficiency.
pic of the garden
lol wtf thats incredible
more pics
damn id really like to try my hand at regular cannabis instead of these autos
these got fucked up too someone found them the first place I had em and dug em up. lost a solid week of veg. they've been root bound for a while but I dont want to let em get any bigger. they are at 6 feet already. Promix blend with extra vermeculite/ perlite worm castings, and 3 blends of coast of maine compost fed with miracle grow espoma organic blood meal and espoma organic bloom booster
Well, you're in Oregon now! Go pick up a little girl at a store. They're scarce right now due to the season, but they're still out there. Then pick up an HPS security light from the hardware store for $70, then in a couple months pick up an MH for another $70. Don't even fret how good your yield is, it's worth it regardless.
had to use bamboo stakes and eventually 6 foot grade stakes to support them, what I did was took a roll of gardeners line (like a bread tie only a whole roll) and made two loops, one lower down and one for the tops / upper colas to support them. several are also tied directly to the grade stake to give the base stem huge support. it's important to not ever tie tight to the plant, but use loops so the plant can still grow and not have circulation cut off
>miracle grow
user...that is the mcdonald's fish fillet of plant nutrients
But it works. I mean, it's not professional growth, but it's good enough.
Sea Grow 16-16-16 and 4-26-26 are cheap and easy to use.
mcdonalds fish filet is haddock or cod, it's fucking delicious it's also 15/15/15 which is a perfect fert blend to make sure it has all the basic nutes available
I'll be upgrading to that stuff soon, but that'll be once I finish my RDWC system.
you dont grow them on your own property?
fucking pricks digging them up im sorry
saving this info for when im able to start again
would it be a waste to keep a plant in sunlight tben bring it in under the lamps?
kind of the best of both worlds?
the last grow I did was a 65$ investment and I got a pound and a half dried. using miracle grow almost exclusively :) :) myalbum.com
Please stop talking about mc d's fish filets. I used to love those til I got sick from them twice in a row. Shooting fish chunks out your nose sucks.
I like to plant in several places so I never lose my whole crop. if I have any problems I bring them home to work with them.
They don't like change like that. And definitely don't do the reverse. I killed one that way. It may be okay going out to in, I haven't tried it, but they seem happier if you go all one way or the other.
jesus where do you guys live that you have these open areas to just plant these babies anywhere
nearby forest or what?
seems risky
Yea I live in new england it's all forest. and like I said the plants i got now were fucked with this year. ppl still try to rip you off
Sorry if it's already been asked, but what soil/nutes are you using? Also as previously stated, autos aren't as hardy. A lot of those strains do better indoor, and they prefer slightly lower temps so maybe direct sunlight is too much. I wouldn't worry about the bottom leaves falling off, it's pretty common. The higher up leaves are the ones that get the most light, anything else is just extra stuff the plant has to expend energy to keep. If they turn brown like that just cut em off, saves the plant the energy of shedding it. Also, if you're inexperienced just keep in mind your bud will probably be shitty. Just think of this as a practice run and don't be upset with the results
>take one look at that soil and instantly know what the problem is
you've basically got a crocpot of acidity with zero control. plants are for sure too acidic and that soil is for sure too absorbent, i bet it never loses water or dries out, so you've got saturated roots.
TL;DR: it's not just one problem, it's many.
i used 1/2 miracle grow once in the earlier stages and then the bottom leaves started burning so no nutes since then
boom you nailed it, idk how i didnt think of it being a problem taking so long to try out
god i still have a lot to learn
but once again these guys are more of a learning experiment than anything
Gotta go up slowly, and wait until your plant is at least a few weeks old to even start it. Begin with only a tiny bit, and only every couple weeks.
I you get nute burn, flush your soil with water once.
well thanks guys ive done a shitload of research in the past few hours and you guys helped out more than you know
ill be back in a few weeks to post my 1gram dried harvest lol
Good shit, user. Good luck with your gro!
too much water ,looks like its stunned ,needs full sunlight
