I have realized this and began to read more books.
Heck even the Force Awakens' novel is so much better than the movie which cuts lot of bits out and gets rid of everything political so it is nothing but a watered down Hollywood action flick.

Glad to see this thread, just got back from watching the movie and I thought it was pretty good. Without a doubt better than the original, my only issue is with some of the cgi it looked a bit... Out of place I suppose, or maybe just not done well enough. Can't wait for part 2, I wouldn't mind a prequel either something historical feeling
