The text is close to the edge

This is a fact

Yes, it is.

Fug ofd buddy
Really makes u think

le anime xd dae to be continued..

Used to like it. Now it just sounds like wankery to me. KC and Floyd were the only semi-decent prog bands imo

Jojo xD

DUDE MEMES XDXD

Is this a jojo reference?

Best Yes album, personally. The interludes are great, and manage to liven up the album and keep it from having a common prog issue of getting way too lost on itself.

This and Close to the Edge are Yes's only good albums, imo

TFW I wanted a legitimate opinion on the album

heart of the sunrise is the shit. wish they didnt play it live like a bunch of fucking mummies. dat drum pattern in the intro they never play

Yay, more great music ruined by memes... they even ruined Enya for fuck's sake. Fucking Enya!

SHARP
DISTANCE

stop

>dude jus b urself lmao

HOW CAN THE WIND WITH ITS ARMS ALL AROUND ME

Infinitely inferior to close to the edge.

I FEEL LOST IN THE CITYYYYY

But seriously though, part 5 when?

Jon Anderson is cute

you may be the only person who doesn't want a part 5 anime then

South Side of the Sky is the best song off of this
also, this would be better than close to the edge without the studio-mandated filler

Yare yare daze

It's good what more do you need?

bass heavy

I like The Yes Album better

Floyd is not prog, jesus christ
Except for maybe Animals they sound nothing like any other prog

>Floyd is not prog

One of my fav albums, well made and geniously good.

Every instrument sounds godlike, I like heart of the sunrise, as if the song was picked up from the future to its time

>geniously good

Implying anyone here watches chinese cartoons.

I do.

Mood For a Day is vastly underrated and probably the best song on the album, at least for guitarists

Memes aside it's a fantastic album, my only problems comes in how the songs were made, everyone composed their own song. Some of the members have a better ear for composition than the others. Namely Cans and Brahms and Five Per Cent for Nothing.

We Have Heaven GOAT

>inb4 Cans and Brahms isn't an original composition

I kno

Consider where you are.

HOW CAN THE WIND WITH IT'S ARMS ALL AROUND MEEEE

I think Yes is one of the greatest bands of all time and this is one of their best albums. So many amazing songs and one of the best songs in the history of rock closing it out

Has some amazing tracks (Roundabout, South Side of the Sky, Heart of the Sunrise), but otherwise there's way too much filler for it to be a great album. Not the worst of Yes' golden age, but far from the best.
Close to the Edge > Tales from Topographic Oceans > Relayer > Going for the One > Fragile > The Yes Album

>implying Bruford doesn't know how to compose

Five Per Cent For Nothing was a joke, Bruford's solo albums are GOAT

What genre is Pink Floyd from Atom Heart Mother to The Division Bell?

MARMOTS COME OUT OF THE SKY

AND THEY STAND THERE

Jojofags are pure cancer

>ahm
pysch rock, experimental rock, folk pop , i will admit that the suite is prog-y but it's just due to the longform structure

>meddle
pysch rock / space rock / folk rock, echoes is proggy

>obscured
folk pop/rock, pysch rock, space rock

>dsotm
soft rock, art rock, pysch

>wywh
space rock, art rock, soft rock, psych

>animals
Dogs is proggy. rest is art rock

>wall and final cut
rock opera, hard rock

>amlor
aor / pop rock

>divison
pop rock, elements of space

Just because they have proggy songs doesn't make them a prog band.

I like Five Per Cent for Nothing

>dsotm
>soft rock

best song is long distance runaround but roundabout early mix is also uniquely atmospheric

i liked it far before anime even existed

you had to be there i guess. i still love it. /grandpacore
