Blackstar and AMSP are really strange picks.

How so? (Nice pixies choice btw)

Blackstar and Bjork, nice

The one w/out coverart is ITCOTCK

Because both have have had much stronger release through their respective careers (though I'm kinda biased, since I didn't like AMSP very much; Blackstar is solid, but Bowie has put out much better work).

Is that Lady Gaga album actually good? Also i actually really enjoy that Zach Hill record, pretty underrated.

releases*

+bowie, dean blunt, slowdive
how's blemish?
+notm, bowie, bjork
+fire orchestra, kc, nin, wormrot, the doors

++KZK, Pygmalion
AMSP is cool too

5/10, nice bowie

...

+ Blackstar, Black Metal, Untrue, Blemish, Pygmalion
Interesting Bjork pick - not her strongest by a long way imho

I personally loved A Moon Shaped Pool the only song i didn't like much was Burn The Witch other than that i honestly think it's the best they've ever done. Although Kid A is close second. True Love Waits is the best song they've ever made in my opinion.

Right back at ya

What's the No Cover Art album?

I feel like I could be friends with the three of you.

In The Court Of The Crimson King by King Crimson.

4/10, listen to more krautrock

3/10

+doors, ITCOCK

+LUM, you should absolutely listen to young god EP and soundtracks for the blind by swans

+Kate bush, MBV, CAN

+MBV, MV, VU&N, nirvana, the cure

primus?

/pleb/ here, recs pls

Nice, only just noticed on your you said it on your original post (my bad)

>the only song i didn't like much was Burn The Witch other than that i honestly think it's the best they've ever done.
Weird. I honestly didn't like any of the tracks except for Burn The Witch.

i'm a hit with the alt thots

Frizzle Fry is GOAT

Guess we're just opposites my man but that's ok

Artpop is actually good yes. It's not in my top10, but it's solid.

>listen to more krautrock
such as?

...

not him but what have you heard

I could see you liking Popol Vuh, CAN's ege bamyasi, and NEU's s/t

+Debut
+OK Computer

youtube.com/watch?v=3VmM8qRRLwU

Broadcast is cool, have you heard Pram and Stereolab?

Not much. Tago Mago, Faust's s/t, and the latest Pas pire pop album (which is they only I've listened to the most and the most recently; liked it a lot).
I'll check them out.

>How's Blemish?
Blemish is great in my opinion. His best work, although most would disagree.

the latest Avec le Soleil*

Try Amon Duul II - Yeti

...

Pop? i-i-is that you?

...

BTW is easily top 3 along with DID and Identikit imo
Whats going on is phenomenal

>David Sylvian - Blemish
Fantastic taste
The rest is excellent too, in particular Post and AMSP. Really like the others too.
Love GTH, it's annoying some pricks have decided to start hating on it via invading threads where there's usually just a nice, harmless discussion on the band. Also love Homogenic and Bowie. Although two albums by the same artist twice? Surely it's a better idea to just choose your fave out of those and then include albums by other artists to show a wider variety of your taste. Regardless, good list.
Love Hounds of Love. One of those albums where the first listening experience is mind blowing (tfw waking the witch). Loveless is also a beautiful album and mice choice of CAN album. Good list overall, like some other stuff there too.
I love your taste.

Also
>having a top 10
NEVER ME.

sunshower - taeko ohnuki
let's get it on - marvin gaye
beach boys party! - beach boys
age ain't nothin but a number - aaliyah

what's the top leftmost one?

2814-Birth of a New Day
Its a pretty comft ambient album with vapourwave hints

+the last four albums
whats to the right of Laughing Stock?
recc: Popol Vuh (if you've already heard Hosianna and Pharaos, try Letzte Tag and Bruder des Schattens), Klaus Schulze (Irrlicht)

Thanks for the praise, Why no top 10?

...

I-is this bait?

What's bait about it?

big up on the blues and abstract truth
delet this

Pretty generic taste desu, not that the albums are bad though. 408 is pretty underrated.

Check out Cannibal Ox Cold Vein if you havent already, i'm sure you'd enjoy it

Actually laughed so hard at this.

Yoooo, Passenger and Metric, respect.

Here's mine, feel free to mock me for the Coldplay, but Strawberry Swing and Life in Technicolor ii were huge to me as a kid.

good job.

...

I just checked out "A Fire in the Forest" based on this recommendation and it's super hypnotic, thanks for bringing him up

+Nas, Swans, Freddie Gibbs, PS, Davis, Beatles, Bjork

check this out: youtube.com/watch?v=Tf9MaJ_AyY0

and this: youtube.com/watch?v=PxBkpjJY5qk

...

>tfw I don't even have a top 10

I actually struggled with it too. Like I had 5 or 6 albums that I for sure liked the most, but had trouble placing the last few. Every other album I felt just wasn't good enough. I think it just takes time.

same. i just put the 10 i've been loving the most recently, rather than all time

+bowie, buh-jork
+j dilla, pink floyd, bowie
+bowie, zach
+++lil ugly mane
+++marvin
++++++++++minor threat
+bjork, pink, kc, mobb deep, coltrane

>mfw user doesn't have a top 10

I find it difficult to limit my fave albums to only 10

...

++Fishmans, Robert Wyatt

Nothing man, just pretty mucore. Dont take me for insulting

Nice trips btw

is topsters completely failing to save charts for anybody else

use neverendingchartrendering if that's the case

I'm a pleb but, who cares?

Who cares, as long as you actively seek new music!

Yo

desu i don't know why Cure isn't a Sup Forums staple

My Dirt boys, I've got mad love for you
I've listened to a lot of music but Dirt has been always in my favorites

Very interesting favorites
You seem pleasant to hang around

+Deathconsciousness
If you dig BoC I really recommend The Detroit Escalator Co - Black Buildings

+SFTB, Deathconsciousness
Mystifying works, I could listen to SFTB forever and always find something new

+ 2814, Burial
+ NiN, Wormrot
+ Fishmangs
+ Sufjan,Burzum,Thug,Danny
+ Candy Claws
- Megadeth
+HaNL
+Paysage, CoC

Dirt was technically the first album I got on vinyl. I say technically because I got them all for Christmas one year, but it was the first one to arrive here, about two weeks prior to christmas, and my grandfather, not knowing that it was vinyl, tossed it down the stairs.
It was completely undamaged. It was a goddamn miracle.

and to clarify, he tossed it down the stairs because I was in the basement at the time and he was just like "HEY user, PACKAGE ARRIVED FOR YOU!" and thought it was, like, another book I had ordered or something.
He was a great guy, and I'll miss stuff like that.

+Pink Floyd, Mastodon, Burial, Sabbath

You guys probably don't know more than three albums on this list.

Angherr Shisspa, Wish You Were Here, Francoise Hardy, Music From The Penguin Caffe, and Anne Briggs. I'm sure everyone else knows these, too.

What do I get?

How can you be this pleb? Honestly, kill yourself.

Reccing ppl can be fun
>Pole
Vladislav Delay - Multila
Mikael Stavöstrand - Reduce
If you're looking for more fragmented bleeps.
I dislike this one the least.

if you havent already, try sabotage vol 4 and sbs
iron maiden - powerslave
townes van zandt s/t and hank mobley

Blackstar, AMSP and Post are great albums.

Nothing, you have good taste. If you like those albums, give it a listen to the other albums on my list.

I think Blackstar is probably the 2016 AOTY and one of Bowie top 5 best album with Low, Ziggy Stardust, Humprey Dory and Station to Station,

Holy shit +Sunshower, I love Taeko. I've never seen anyone else ever actually mention it before.

god damn it

...

Listen to some hip hop from before 2010
Why 1 over 2 ?
Someone's mom/10

I havent had sex in 6 weeks

my top 10

not in order

...

I am familiar with Vlad but not with Mikael, ty user for bleeps

...

Recs appreciated

Why Stooges s/t over Funhouse or Raw Power?
Good picks though check out Swirlies - Blonder Tongue Audio Baton and Minutemen - Double Nickels On The Dime

I havent had sex ever
mum - Finally We Are No One

Not him but I like the production on 1 better, it's a lot grimier and the features are better
I've always had a hard time getting into Remain In Light, Talking Heads in general feel too restrained to me. They've got a lot of cool tracks but I just wanna hear em go nuts once in a while like The Great Curve
If you like them though you might be into Lizzy Mercier Descloux - Press Color or The Pop Group - y

+Sheena Ringo
+Oneohtrix, Whitehouse
+This Heat
+Gil
+best Madonna
+Gris

Hidden gems on the self titled like real cool time,
not right, we will fall, and little doll.
Swirlies are the shit
check out
echo & the bunnymen- ocean rain
red house painters - s/t

Interesting. I need to check it out in that case.

Swirlies ARE the shit, if you've heard that maybe try mum - Yesterday Was Dramatic, Today is OK or Candy Claws - Two Airships/Exploder Falls. The two closest albums I've heard to VDC.

I've been into a lot of 80's post-punk lately but haven't gotten to Echo & The Bunnymen yet, thanks for the info
