Forest Gump: the movie
This film barely uses its score, but when it does, it is effective as hell for conveying tone. I realize how a film that has almost no music is unconventional, but watch it. It's neat.
Gerry by Gus Van Sant (music by Arvo Part)

django unchained has a great soundtrack imo
Nostalghia by Tarkovsky

Opening scene of Aguirre, Wrath of God by Werner Herzog

whole movie is strange and unforgettable
the entirety of baby driver although Sup Forums probably hates it because it's popular and good
LOTR
Do I even dare suggest Lost in Translation
people jerk it off because of the scene with Sometimes but it's a legitimately beautiful movie with some amazing performances
kevin shields also did original songs for the soundtrack , and the rest of the OST is great to boot
It's highly overrated. I expected much better from Edgar Wright but may be forced to accept that he's not as good without Nick Frost and Simon Pegg.
Death Wish score by Herbie Hancock

Reach the Rock soundtrack by Jim McEntire, Tortoise, Dianogah, etc

*John McEntire, sory
I think it just ticked a lot of the right boxes for people. It's not a cinematic masterpiece, but it's a fun heist movie that gets elevated by the fact that every scene is choreographed just right.
Plus the girl looks like Shelly from Twin Peaks and she's cute as fuck.
Also, and I know this point has been made a million times, but the presence of actual visual gags makes it better than most other comedies in theaters automatically.
Suspiria's score is pretty good. Builds tension and fear pretty well. Also emphasizes the kinda primal and arcane nature of the violence it accompanies

Lalo Schifren's soundtrack to Dirty Harry is dope

Love those grimey, spooky 70s themes.
>Plus the girl looks like Shelly from Twin Peaks and she's cute as fuck
you got that right mayne, I fell in love
It's certainly better than most of the capeshit drivel in theatres over the past few years I just came in with high expectations.
baby driver did a good job syncing the action to the score, it made it fun and engaging to watch
The last 20 minutes or so of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly are God Tier, I don't care what anybody says.

This in Werckmeister Harmonies, though Satantango and The Turin Horse use music just about as well.
Her has an amazing soundtrack by Arcade Fire...

...as does Under The Skin...

I says you're right, Morricone was a badass. Also check out One Upon a Time in the West
forgot to post the op
Bela Tarr's movies are grueling, but unforgettable.
this is great
conveys all sorts of emotions
This is a great movie. I can't get behind all of Herzog's ideas about filmmaking, but he gets some damn fine results.
I should probably watch it again.
2001 uses music perfectly
pretty much any movie that utilizes lietmotifs
I like lietmotifs
The lullaby in Pan's Labyrinth is kinda an example. It's pretty much the only theme in the movie, so I'm not sure if it's technically a lietmotif, but it's used well to evoke sadness and stuff. Though it also brings a feeling of nostalgia and a bit of hope that Ofelia's fantasy world is real

Easy Rider
Love is alright toooooooonite. It's always fun to get away from camp, even for an hour.

Lynch has some of my favorite uses of diagetic music in his films. They always compete with his OOOOH ANGELOOOO moments
>here comes the story of The Hurricane
>the man the authorities came to claim
>for somethin' that he never done!
>put in a prison cell but ONE.TIME. he could've been
>THE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD

Magnolia

great choice. Another great music scene by lynch is the spanish roy orbison cover in Mulholland Dr, and also the Straight Story has one of my favorite scores
The spanish version of Hotel California in The Big Lebowski

This movie was so good, I had forgotten about the ending but that was really touching
faggots can come at me for all i care. the music in this movie was awesome
micheal mann has consistently god tier music in everything he has done
he has one hell of a music game
the insider is still one of my favourite soundtracks
this
it's kinda abstract but it enhances the emotional impact
bump
the repetition of I Put a Spell on You by Screamin' Jay Hawkins is amazing in Stranger than Paradise, especially with most of the film lacking incidental music
Almost any Micheal Mann movie
Layer Cake by Matthew Vaughn
this.
dubs don't lie
Spoilers for these movies obviously.
