Stormcloaks are my preference. I almost always side with them unless it'd be illogical to given the race of the character I chose. Ulfric is just a fucking badass.
That being said, Imperials make more sense to choose; if the Stormcloaks won, Skyrim would be weakened without the empire's help, and thus get fucked by the Thalmor.
