Now that there are Russian boots on the ground, the RuAF can't cluster bomb everything into shit unless they want an accident like the one at Palmyra. So they will have the US Navy to provide targeting and/or precision bombing for the more sensitive areas.
At this point, I full expect US planes showing up above Deir Ezzor in the near future.
