What do non-Brits think of /brit/? Do you just see it as a place to shitpost and engage in gimmick/meme-posting rather than a means to discuss the culture, history and traditions of Britain?

The first one, /brit/ is fucking shit. /cunts/ when?
>/brit/

I like brit words and brit grammerfictitions
Like?
some of the best discussions i've had on int were in brit
one of the few redeeming qualities of this board
I think Sup Forums is more your thing.
Like any other general brit is for brits and any general discussion they might think. Doesn't necessarily have a strong cultural or national aspect to it but inevitably the discussion points are going to lead to common grounds
Just took a shit lads

I don't know how to explain the grammar much because it's more subtle -- I suppose it would just be called British English (even though that usually just refers to the spelling).
traditions and culture discussions are not for generals. Generals exist for one reason and that is to shitpost. Not just for /brit but for all of them.
Nobody's gonna mention kingdom brunel or oliver cromwel here, at best you'll get some posh vs working class slangs. If you dan count it as "cultural exchanges" then we're all good
i dont get that general, its literally just people posting random sentences
I sometimes go there to get answers for my Sup Forums questions. Like what are some good brit citys to visit and something like that. But all in all I have the impression that the brits there are even more cancerous than the ones in the other threads.
Oliver Cromwell is discussed very regularly in /brit/
you're not intelligent enough to decipher it
>What do non-Brits think of /brit/?
Cancer which represents the very worst of this board.
Interesting cos it's Aussies and Canadians that make it cancer.
i have unironically 135IQ
I think most of the Brits in /brit/ are Sup Forumstards. Would explain a lot.
/brit/ can be most succinctly characterized by that Scottish mong who moved to Northern Direland and tried to kill himself shortly thereafter because he owed money to the IRA or whatever
Which is to say it's a cesspool of mental illness that should be monitored at all hours by mummy may's GCHQ
I unironically think the British Empire was the best modern empire ever and strongly think it should have stayed as the world only superpower to this day. Britain by tradition has good values, good people and a sense of civilization equal to the Romans.
What a terrible thing it is that not even their offspring is keeping their values alive on the world.

thanks
Wonderful post
I don't think Yanks are anywhere near as bad as the Aussies and Canadians. /brit/ is a a fucking travesty because of these shitposters and their autistic spamming. It would instantly improve immeasurably if we could ban them.
>/brit/ isn't just shitposting no matter what
mate this is embarrassing
shitposting is quality though
there's that action posting aussie with a thin skin who sperges out whenever you call him boring. would love to smash his face in.
that leaf who posts things of wikipedia trying to convince people he's well read and smart. hope he dies.
thaicunt needs to neck himself and 190kg megafag
another aussie who thinks he's fucking howard marks but is a clueless tit.
fucking knobheads.
I bet you're an evening poster. I can tell.
im a 24/7 poster my friend, don't try and put me in a box
i can tell you /brit/ is pure shitposting all hours, and that is a wonderful thing
>tfw 100% actual Anglo but you can't post in /brit/ because you live in a 60% meme country.
idk but anytime /brit/ is mentioned someone starts posting pictures of that sweaty guy wearing the tie
>>tfw 100% actual Anglo but you can't post in /brit/ because you live in a 60% meme country.
Lmao shut the fuck up Nigel Hernandez
Definitely an evening poster, makes sense.
>idk but anytime /brit/ is mentioned someone starts posting pictures of that sweaty guy wearing the tie
all generals are garbage
just that brit is in english and you can see it's one inane post after another
Absolute shithole, a national embarrassment.
Best general in all of Sup Forums
Good place to banter with the lads, and also to roleplay as a young edgy British guy trying hard to be counter-culture
I usually see posts in it as I scroll down and I am always confused. I rarely see any replies to anyone and it's always just random little sentences. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but I've only been in a few generals before but I think /brit/ takes the cake when it comes to irrelevant posts.
That's a pretty fair observation. There's little or nor conversation on /brit/. It's just spamming to the bump limit, rinse and repeat.
Occasionally good, mostly awful autistic role playing.
That's not really saying much though, my Texan friendo.
The best is when someone mentions something and others carry on the conversation without quoting the post.
