you should listen to Boris' Flood
Uncle Acid - The Night Creeper
A favorite album of mine, very repetitive riffing but has an unparalleled atmosphere and lyrical structure.
Plays out almost like a creep psych noire.
Here (you) go my nig nog.

Flood is my go-to album when I'm reading. Just perfect background music. It helps that it's really soothing to listen to as well.
can specifically ege bamyasi
Bull of heaven
neu
ege bamyasi isn't that repetitive.
trash

Some of their releases are legitimately decent-ish tbqhwymdf
Meshuggah - Catch Thirty Three
You're gonna love Boredoms, OP. Listen to their albums Vision Creation Newsun and Super ae and the EPs Super Roots 3 and 7
>No one has mentioned Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians
You're very much welcome, user. Good stuff, but quite repetitive
You'll want to listen to more minimalism but assuming that you already have try fela kuti. Fela brings in his entire band with repetitive polyrhythmic beats and builds up the sound to the apex where puts down his sax and sings (usually political but not always)

>OP has steve reich picture in the first post
Why would we recommend steve reich to someone who knows steve reich?
david thomas broughton - the complete guide to insufficiency
there are a lot of repetitions within songs with some dissortion and additional sounds building on.
How has no one said Dopesmoker yet?
Literally the peak of repetition-core
Another great recc. Blood Lust is my favorite album from them but for OP's purposes I'd go for Night Creeper
OP if you're really into "builds on a single idea thing" I HIGHLY recommend 2 albums by Autechre: LP5 and Trip Repetae. every track just takes one theme, loops it, adds to it, takes away from it, varies it slightly, etc.
a sample from LP5:

Meshuggahs catch thirty-three. Can be a bit of a chore to listen to, but it's worth it. Ridiculously trippy album but also very depressing at times.
Also Eastman's music in general
No idea how it hasn't been mentioned yet by Remain in Light by Talking Heads, or any afrobeat (look into Fela Kuti).
I'm a big fan of Steve Reich - Music for 18 Musicians
