So after years of usage, and herritage in generations, my fingerbox finally broke. Do you guys know if there's even possible to get a new one these days? Or if it's possible to repair? Pic related, it looks like my fingerbox.

What the hell is a fingerbox?
There aren't many genuine fingerbox repairmen left these days, you might have to do some reading and attempt the repair yourself OP.
Its antique victorian finger box made by fn&co , possibly earlier than 1890 .
this here is a hand crafted AY-O fingerbox, made in nazi germany during the early stages of ww2, only about 20 were made, designed by helmut schmaker himself, its a very well made fingerbox, a true classic, i love it
if you're wondering how much this bad boy cost me, well lets just say you cant afford it and probably never will
Oh no, OP! I am sorry to hear about this tragedy. There is an expert-level fingerbox repairman in Ireland that will take it by mail and repair it for you at a reasonably affordable price.
I cant wait to try out my new one, its made with metal folded 100 times over
What the fuck is fingerbox ?!

What do you call it in your third world country?
Overused and boring. be original fag
oh well, I guess I just have to start reading.
damn, that's a nice one.
Thanks, but I dont want to risk it. Sending my fingerbox in the mail to a guy in Ireland seems a bit risky. Maybe I should just visit him personally. Do you know where he holds up?

A Finger box basically simulates a feeling, originally this was accomplished with mechanical devices in the box with some extremely cruel pranksters putting item such as glass and nails in witch would often decapitate the finger, this led to a act of parliament in 1919 by the UK banning the devices, which was quickly followed by the rest of the world.
Hi OP, i work in a backwater town in rural western australia, up in the pilbara in an antique store and i have come across many of these in my time. needless to say, i know many things can happen to fingerboxes over the years, and the older they are the more problems you can run into.
If your fingerbox has wear and tear around the edges try using shoe gloe adhesive with some high quality pine shavings. you would be surprised at how well this can slow the degradation of your fingerbox. add a coat of varnish WITHOUT sanding it and you will get many, many more years of use out of your fingerbox.
If you are having some trouble removing your finger from the fingerbox a little vasoline will go a long way, you will be able to slide it in easier but the trick is to apply the vasoline below the fingerhole on your fingerbox. This will allow for lubrication no matter what sized fingers enter the fingerbox hole.
Another common problem is the fingerbox itself falling apart after many uses. This is actually quite a normal part of having a fingerbox, as the usual lifespan is around 10-15 years. with some of the older models they tend to use jarrah or other hard woods, and these types of wood are a mark of a true craftsman. Simply apply more shoe glue to your fingerbox wherever it is falling apart and it will adhere just fine and you should be able to push the pieces back into each other at the join. Let stand for a few days and you can return to normal use of your fingerbox. If you have any other questions email me at [email protected] and i will be able to answer above mentioned questions and much more.
Am I the only person who doesn't know what a fingerbox is??
(wink wink hehehehe newfags amirite)
Your fingerbox looks illegal but I know a guy in Peru who repairs those in one of those shabby looking huts in the middle of the rainforrest. I could send you some detail if you'd be interested.
Woah thank you
Finally some real tips which won't brake your fingerbox. There are too many trolls out there
Chances are it's able to be repaired, but if it's really old enough that your grandparent had it then it may be really costly to have it fixed.
It's up to you though, tbh. If it's something you'd want to keep and still have use out of and don't mind paying a lot to have it fixed, then I'd say go for it. My dad collects these and is helping me with mine.
thats a rare one, you are going to have to hike up the Himalayas and find a lost monastery to get it repaired correctly. you dont fuck around with that sort of thing.
your fingerbox looks photoshopped
just look at the fucking hole: the perspective is not right
it looks to me like youre trying to take a fucking piss on the fingerbox community
go fuck yourself
I've been thinking the same thing about that picture for years, glad somebody fucking mentioned it; learn2perspective
Fucking retard.
got to toulouse, france.
My grandfather actually left me his fingerbox when he passed. I don't have a pic but it was made of cherry wood and had three holes but one was sealable. I know next to nothing about these things but someone told me the resealable holes were only made in Poland. Does anyone know if it's worth anything, not looking to sell but it'd be nice to get it appraised.
Do you know how old it is?
i use to have a golden fingerbox, but some black kid stole it..... had 8 holes in it, and was shiny as FUCK
in holland there's a shop near rotterdam which repairs fingerboxes, price ranges from 1000 to 5000 depending on antiquity
Is pic related yours? If so she looks really sturdy, like she's got some miles on her. They just don't make em like they use to. Now they all have fancy lights and connect to your phone
I heard there was a guy in New York that repaired original fingerboxes but idk if he still does it anymore might want to look into that
THE NEWFAGS IS SHOWING
There is a well known artiat/woodworker whonuaed to be a curator for a maritime/boat museum. He has devoted his retirement to restoring these. Check the forums. I think he goes by the awkward handle iydrttymwdihs.
Is it ok to put benis in finger box? Asking for a friend

There's a Eritrean guy that owns a repurposed old library on the end of my street, he paints wacky portraits of Jewish couples but he also fixes fingerboxxes if one of his current customers puts in a good word for you, if you stay in Beijing he could probably help, as long as you're not ginger, he hates gingers
Antique fingerboxes should be left in unrestored condition to maintain value. My family's collection I inherited from my grandfather in the pic
I paid $40 for this did i get ripped off?
>fingerbox
My great great grandfather was the man who invented and patented the very 1st fingerbox, and you can mail yours to my company, so we can repair and refurbish your fingerbox, i can't actually tell from the photo, but this looks like 2nd generation of fingerboxes to me. If thats the case feel free to mail it to us, just put a lot of padding into the package, so it doesn't deteriorate/get damaged even more during transport.
What's a fingerbox?
It's a box in which you put the uncircumcised dicks of your late enemies as trophys, when you fill 1 to the top, you gotta empty it on your face to recieve the full glory.
I heard there is a new fad of stoneware fingerboxes. Any experiences?
I grabbed one last year. Not as good as the old wood ones imho.
They make fingerboxes out of particle board. Not the same though. Sorry for your loss.
