Socialism

What causes this ideology to fail/hinder prosperity virtually every time it's tried?

Humans

Scarcity

Socialism only works in educated, homogeneous societies like whites or hobbits.

No it doesn't

I'd say the fact that you eventually run out of other people's money is a crippling flaw.

It will never succeed because it seeks to meet the needs of all but fails to do so and instead destroys a large portion of their society to meet temporary needs. AKA shitty capitalism.

reality

It's just retarded on every level.

ignores nature, human and otherwise

>What causes this ideology to fail/hinder prosperity virtually every time it's tried?
that is its goal.. nobody gets ahead except those in charge and the laws don't apply to them.

I could work with ants or bees... Oh wait, they have queens too.

Underrated and true.

Human nature. Survival of the fittest. Thd story of the grasshopper and the ant. The ant works very hard to stord for the winter and the grasshopper luves footloose and fancy free. Thd grasshopper dies in the end

Lack of price signals to transmit information about scarcity or supply shifts. This usually leads to shortages in food and medical goods.

It succeeds wildly (Europe), so much that everybody is affluent and people stop having as many kids, so they let in a bunch of migrants that rape the system and it all falls apart.

A big welfare system is not the same thing as socialism.

The human condition. The ironic part is most socialists believe we need socialism because humans are corrupt and greedy. But they figure somehow these problems will go away under socialism.

>working class collectively owns the means of production
>the products are equally distributed among the workers that produced them

That's socialism, but here is the result.

>currency becomes useless and is scrapped within the state borders
>wealth disparities abolished
>the socialist distribution of goods becomes a big inefficient bureaucracy

That's communism, the automatic and unavoidable result of socialism. Here is the result of communism.

>the bureaucracy gets so big and retarded that the systems and institutions constantly collapse
>scarcity leads to famines
>because communism is hard for a normal person to be accustomed to, many end up in """reeducation camp"""
>because of egalitarianism, every single member of the proletariat experiences economic fluctuation
>the forced sharing and equality of resources makes it so that the system has to hand out the "fruits of their labor" in smaller portions over time due to scarcity
>the leaders are usually the only ones autistic enough to understand the bureaucracy so they control it up at the top
>people who were successful or of high status before the revolution are killed or viewed unfavorably leading to dysgenics; illiterate peasants and factory workers become the genetic stock
>as everyone's quality of life lowers, lower level occupations within the proletariat reproduce more also leading to dysgenics
>the IQ range 90-100 that is correlated with the ability to learn a trade in a hands-on manner and perform tasks involving decisions shrinks and shrinks while the lower proletariat grows
>the IQ range 100-110 is able to learn from written materials so they often form unpopular opinions and end up in gulag leading to even more dysgenics
>while the average IQ lowers from 100 to 90, the quality of life continues to lower, the bureaucracy continues to fail as citizens are less capable of understanding it
>the system falls like a house of cards as the ideologies with nationalism and the pre-revolution way rise to power

There are technical reasons why socialist economies aren't as effective as capitalist ones, related to the ineffectiveness of central planning and lack of property rights. Something like Titoism is less bad, but not as good as capitalism for technological development. For instance, the Soviets had a ton of great scientists but weren't able to turn their discoveries into useful products like in America.

It tires to perfect the human condition by denying some of their natural outlets. Every socialist revolution tries to outlaw something that is base in human nature.

Not having a price system based on the market.

>Give a fuckton of power to the state
>State becomes corrupt
>Get fucked

It's not rocket science

Unrealistic prices for goods and services.

Because socialism is applied to the entire economy.

You don't need socialism to produce consumer goods. You don't need socialism to decide who farms what crop. You don't need socialism to decide what to do with your life.

You do need socialism to provide healthcare and retirement benefits. You do need socialism to build and maintain infrastructure. You do need socialism to provide basic (modern) needs -- water, power, communications, education, housing.

>let 95-IQ indo-Americans run your government
>...
>most of population has IQ of 95 or below
>...

It makes impossible assumptions of how humans could behave and tries to force them to conform to those assumptions. Behavior is out of line with goals? At best, you'll be ostracized; at worst, lined up and shot.

The average is actually 84 in Venezuela.

Any public sector spending is not socialism. Socialism is the government owning means of production, what you're describing is social democracy. Which is still dumb. Why do I need the government to take my money and put it in a retirement fund for me? Can I not be trusted to do it myself?

Capitalists invade due to envy.

Gambling your money on a stock market is not a retirement fund.

>Can I not be trusted to do it myself?
Most people are, in fact, too stupid to do it themselves.

Socialism can only work once Capitalism is fully realized, then real Socialism can exist.

it worked pretty well in russia though

>rocket science
>literally created by socialists
Fucking ironic kek.

>BUT IT NEVER WORKED!11

That's the part that kills me. Capitalists are always harping on how much of a failure Nazi Germany was, but then they also leave out the part where the USSR beat the shit out of America in space tech for years WHILE being a country that was reeling from a near-defeat in a major world war. Sup Forums either just claims the Germans were capitalists or that the fact they lost a war against the entire fucking planet - that they almost WON is somehow proof that their system didn't work.
