However, Megyn's desperate attempts to attack and destroy Trump has demolished her popularity and integrity as independent of the editorial and ulterior motives of the wider Fox network and its ownership.
So for being their pawn, she lost popularity, which they then use against her when it came to negotiate the continuation of the contract.
