Once you move on to the deeper layers of Scarufficore and work your way into Discogs and RYM Sup Forums starts to get really stale and samey. You'll see the same albums, same artists discussed on end, genre-specific threads for lesser known/less appreciated genres will sputter out at 20 replies, and there really is a disconnect between you and the average trap rap-loving Fantano-watching newfriend who is unironically excited about the new Lil Yachty mixtape.
I mostly just stick to RYM lists and more obscure music reviews on YouTube now
